Just a few days ago we got our first look at inhand pictures of TFSS 3.0 Nacelle and G2 Starscream here. Today thanks to actoys we get new pictures of TFSS 3.0 Tarantulas. This Transformers Subscription Service 3.0 Tarantulas is a repaint of the United Scrapheap. This figure has come a long way, I have all the Botcon '06 figures and I'm really excited to add this one to the set. The orange visor is a nice touch! It would still be fun if the green bits could glow in the dark. The thought of the green bits glowing and putting a small light behind the visor puts a cool image in my head.

I compared this will all the previous mockups (three, at LEAST)... and I have to say I think they nailed the deco. Compared with the original toy and the tv model, I think this is the best option possible. Only complaint is that the lime green seems a little light compared with the figure's more muted ochre-yellow-golden-tan-green.

BUT that's a tiny complaint. They might actually be giving a nod to the neon green in the upgraded Transmetal version (?)

Either way, I too have the original Botcon set. This will display GREAT with that lineup. Cheers to the club for filling in a gap. (same with G2 Starscream and other thoughtful choices.)

Sweet looking guy! I'm not a huge fan of the character but the Head looks cool! Is that a complete new headmold or a clever paint app? I can't quite tell from the picture quality. This junkicon mold is a whole lot of fun too.

The head in question is the third head of the Wreck-Gar mold, used twice so far:

Had I not been at work the night the Club put up their Archive Sale, I would have jumped at the chance of getting the 2006 toys no matter the cost. But now, they continue to be beyond my reach. :-(

I wish there was slightly more dark green scattered throughout than just on the rims, but it only takes off a point... not a big deal on an otherwise spot on deco (and thank god for that, because the original pink and sage was just horrid)! Ok. I love the classics seeker mold but would love an update. We complain about the increase in toy price but the toy quality for 96% has gotten better. I only wish we could've seen GoBot redecoes out of classics molds. Leader-1 here especially would be perfect. maybe from combiner wars airraid.

The BotCon 2006 one was Scout-sized, as he's repainted from Cybertron Scrapmetal.

That was a different Inferno, though, not meant for the "Dawn of Future's Past" set; instead meant to go with the Universe 2003 line as a post-Beast Machines, Vehicon-bodied, other universe, Decepticon version of Inferno:

And it really doesn't look like the guy, resembling him as much as any of the Beast Machines characters resembled their first-body Beast Wars selves.

There really wouldn’t be a pre-Beast Wars Inferno anyway, but I use this as one anyway, especially since there was already a post-Beast Machines Inferno

I always felt it would have been cool for them to make a pre-Beast Maximal Inferno from the Energon Blukhead mold, in which he could have been a Cybertronian firefighter and had the toy's Brute Mode accessory advertised as fire rescue equipment. :lol:

I still consider Scavenger a TransMetal Inferno since that’s who it was meant to be and who he is in Japan. I would love for the TCC to do a black repaint of it as Antagony since they’ve shown they’re willing to do 3H characters and have access to old Beast Wars moulds

Please tell me I'm not the only one who would like to see the club do an Onyx Primal from the Generations Jhiaxus. When I first got Jhiaxus and saw the face with those little pointy teeth and the detail on the wings the first thing I thought of was a bat.

Scavenger was renamed since Inferno was shelfwarming hardcore... Hasbro was afraid a TM Inferno would preform just as poorly. Not sure about the horns... maybe to reference the "Inferno"/Pit/hell in the show and by turning him into a devilish character since he has a flamethrower, is red, and insane? Just my theory

I stripped the chrome to silver and other painstaking details. Came out way better than I'd hoped.

Thanks for the behind-the-scenes on the re-naming. Shame they didn't have the budget to Transmetal the entire cast... and that there wasn't a TM Scorponok figure. I mean... besides the McDonalds one. (boo)

But I digress....

Getting back to the club figures... I think there are still some great, heavy-hitters from BW that they could bring in for a vehicle mode. (Like Inferno, Terrasaur, etc.)

I've also loved their Botcon redux figures. I'd love to see a new Packrat, Glyph, Tap-Out, Rook set using the CHUG molds.

Hauler is also at the top of my list of hopes for TFCC/Botcon.

If the rumors are true, we just might be getting a Packrat from Generations Rattrap in this year's lineup of BotCon exclusives. If he's in the boxed set, he'd most likely be "The Thief" (and kinda the "Rocket Raccoon") of the set.

sheesh. All of those molds are exceptional. Zero complaints if those are in the lineup. Trying to guess who all the other bots could be in those colors. Of course, Beachcomber could be the blue one. Hmmm.
