Well, all that changed when fellow fan and collector Daim Choc uploaded it to his Facebook timeline for all to see and share!
This is the Optimus Prime we RID (2015) collectors have been waiting for, this one is the right scale, has a ton of killer (tee hee) accessories and electronic features!
You can see the commercial, on Daim Choc's timeline, by clicking the image mirrored below:
And if that link doesn't work, here's the direct link to the video itself:

And here is the image that TFYuki Tweeted earlier:

Not "Something something Convoy".
Interesting.
Why? All new Japanese Primes have been called that since the 2007 movie, including:
- Movie
- Animated
- Prime
- United & Generations (despite being the G1 character)
Nowadays, "Convoy" is now reserved for the G1 original character.

Well, I mean, the whole point of releasing an optimus prime toy is so that TT can release it as Nemesis Prime. The red eyes just show that they're thinking ahead

Or the same price as any regular Leader Class toy... For a supreme class toy! If not bigger.
Plus shipping, of course.

That's not bad. I'm ok with it. I kinda wish it didn't have lights to save cost and instead have some dang panels, but, really, this is a cool Prime. Best mold for the look hands down.

It's just leader class. It might be taller but its very thin, kinda like animated Lockdown.

Maybe OLD Leader Class (AOE OP is way smaller than ROTF OP), plus thin and tall like Animated Lockdown? Because the picture you have just shown show a very TALL Optimus.

when my mother saw that commercial she became concerned that maybe Transformers were a little weird.
anyway, this is the kind of TT stuff I buy (TAV-21) its unique and pretty cool. I like it when they make exclusive cool things. They can keep their hello kittys and stuff.

I just meant that while he might be taller than a leader, he isn't necessarily bigger than leader class. Like Lockdown and battle blade bumblebee who were deluxe class and transform into taller transformers than the regular deluxe class. They still remain deluxe class and so I find that this toy remains leader class even though he is a bit taller. But yeah, you could say it's like the older leader toys like ROTF Optimus.

They were turned creepy because of the legal system doohickey that won't allow you to post pics/images of kids without paying them royalties or something like that. The same way certain adult films in Japan censor out the eyes (as if it will hide your identity like Clark Kent )
Speaking of which, on occassions, in Nicklelodeon or CN you also have ads with kids in them, I don't find them creepy, annoying at best.
If this is again about a certain figure being hoisted as a kids toy because of the size size.......we've heard that already from a certain someone at seibertron for like 5x and going.

Overquoting to show a better picture to compare the OLD leader with the actual Leader.
That's why I say TAV-21 may be more akin to the older leaders than the newer ones.

I think it's that the torso, head and arms are very much in proportion to each other; then you have the short thighs, exacerbated by the super shoes (which are ostensibly a truck trailer attached to his thighs ). It makes him look like he's walking on stilts, more so than CW Menasor.

From your post, looks like I got a convert. If you are after the train, good luck, wj88 says its all over Amazon. You won't regret it, a quirky take on old Optimus.TAV-21? Give him a try first. Then we'll "roast" him if he turns out to be a turd. I'll be the first in line btw.

All that's missing from the picture is a properly scaled Grimlock figure. Come on, Takara! I know you can make it happen! And no, "Big" Grimlock doesn't count.
(Edit: They would need to replace TAV Fixit with Hasbro's Legion Fixit as well. Otherwise, that's a gorgeous cast shot.)

Noticed just now, all of them have melee weapons. No focused phased energy or projectile weapons. A conscious part on Hasbro/TT to go "mano y mano" hand to hand decapitation over long range sudden death?

And I dont think there will be anything wrong with TAV 21, he looks to be as good as the Animated Leaders.

You have to watch the commercial this is from. They are all there just to show that the weapons that come with optimus can fit with the entire cast. To get al those weapons, you just have to buy TAV 21.

Well that's a resounding endorsement of something, but certainly not for the figure; I seriously cannot believe there were/are people out there defending these (not saying here, but in general) god they were so bad, I couldn't believe the stuff I read on the threads saying how great they were/were going to be

The backpack not that worrisome. You have the option to keep it plain or attach those parts that turn into kabuto's for the two super forms (samurai and ninja). Arm kibble is the "nose cone" of the train. Kind of like an arm armorguard. Not too much an issue on hand. he's got two faux train wheels and does some panel folding on his legs.
And he is stable.
Hobbysearch (I wonder what's the ish with them, always late with their TAV releases) still no TAV-21. BigInJapan too. Aside from the unavailability I vouch for their services. Just use Paypal.
P.S. What the? You didn't order TAV-21 when I posted his availability a few weeks back? Here's hoping there'll be some overstock.

I usually preorder from bbts and I don't think he's on there yet? I may be wrong. Money is tight at the moment so I may miss out on this guy .
It happened with MP-10 and now the cost is a little more than I can muster. Which SUCKS. I may still get ExPrime simply because of how weird and different he is. I mean, dang, a train/dragon sure is unique.
