Yep, Computron's hands and feet, as well as extra guns from Devastator and Computicon. And they reversed Blast Off's torso direction for Shuttler so his belly is the shuttle underside, like on the original Blast off and Shuttler/Movor toys and the show. Lots of attention to detail here.

Oh yeah, they did... I was wondering why Movor was looking a billion times better than Blast Off, better colours aside.

So if this set isn't well North of $134.00 (UW Computron's price) on BBTS like that Megatronia set, then I may invest.

It will be the same price as megatromia. The listing already confirms thst he will be 160$ in Japan.

Yeah, I was wondering why more people hadn't done that as of yet. Although I don't own one personally, I did get the chance to inspect one before I sold it. ( I prefer the more 'realistic' Hasbro Blast Off, especially since his strange head isn't visible in arm mode)

Because the bad guys considered themselves anti autobots, an offshoot of the cybertronians and thus reversed the symbol to show their rebellion.

I now feel entirely robbed that these guns weren't included with the Vanilla UW bruticus. I'm stuck trying to track down one of the god damn Perfect Effect bruticus hands a feet sets.
Why couldn't the hands and feet have been included with Computron as well?
Did Hasbro throw their hand in and say 'You've gotta hold them back so our set actually has a chance to sell!' or something?
On a related topic, if anyone can point me in the direction of the Perfect Effect hands and feet in Black for Defensor and Silver for Bruticus, I would greatly appreciate it. I've got the White, Purple and Red sets for Superion, Menasor and Computron and they tower over the other 2 by a noticeable margin.
It makes my shelves look really asymmetrical, I know it's a nitpick, but this is the kind of thing that really grinds my gears.

Okay....Thanks.
I still haven't bought Titan Class Fort Maxx yet and wouldn't pay that price for him. So count me out.
Now if they make a Liokaiser with 6 Con's at that price instead of the cheap crap Hasbro's doing then I'd be interested.
That or play the waiting game. Even UW Devastator is only 179.99 now (I think I only paid 189.99 a couple months ago). So there's that.

It still works. Dolrailer was taller than Black Convoy.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Pretty sure LG-EX Black Convoy is the one more like meant to go with him, as Grand Scourge is a Unicron Trilogy character.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:I would like him, if only I had Grand Scourge to go with him.
Or TFSS 1.0 Scourge. But they're so small...
Besides, the smaller size better enables one to replicate this.
In a story written by someone other than the author of the main Unite Warriors fiction, which Grand Scourge has not shown up in. And I don't know what Grand Scourge's being a dimension-hopper has to do with this since Baldigus himself isn't a dimension-hopper. Car Robots is part of the Japanese G1 cartoon continuity timeline.Emerje wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Pretty sure LG-EX Black Convoy is the one more like meant to go with him, as Grand Scourge is a Unicron Trilogy character.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:I would like him, if only I had Grand Scourge to go with him.
But since Grand Scourge is a dimension hopper it doesn't really matter (even if it isn't the same character). Besides, LG and UW don't really share stories, but we have seen Grand Scourge interfere with UW.
Besides, when I had my big Japanese continuity talk with Hayato Sakamoto (the author/artist of both the main Unite Warriors fiction and the Legends fiction) at BotCon this year, I had asked him something about LG-EX Black Convoy's story, to which he refrained from answering because he was wanting to wait to continue that story with the release of a Unite Warriors Baldigus set (he didn't confirm this set's existence to me at the time, but rather said he was hoping for there to be one so that he could continue Black Convoy's story).
The Combatrons are a subgroup of Destrongers made from Autobot protoforms that were turned evil. The Combatron symbol being an upside-down G2 Autobot symbol represents how their original nature was twisted and warped into the antithesis of the Autobot nature.MagicDeath wrote:So... why exactly does the big guy have an upside-down G2 Autobot logo? (Not as in cartoon/toy accuracy, As in, why in the first place?)
The idea originated from Takara's using the G2 Laser Optimus Prime mold for Black Convoy, which had G2 Autobot symbols molded onto its disc projectiles that Takara didn't opt to remold to have the symbols removed. So they worked the symbol into the toyline and cartoon in a meaningful way. But when Hasbro released their version of Black Convoy as Scourge, they went the extra mile that Takara didn't go by remolding the discs to remove the G2 Autobot (now Combatron) symbols since the Combatrons in the English version had been repurposed into being Decepticons.

Emerje wrote:It just occurred to me the kind of firepower Dolrailer could be packing. Since his back canons are meant to be hand guns themselves you could really give him two double length guns, one for each hand. Likewise Baldigus could have a triple length gun by connecting his two new guns to one of his back guns. Crazy. Now I wish Onslaught came with extra guns, but then again, Baldigus doesn't have a Shockwave.

Why not go full bore crazy with a quadruple gun? Actually, I think that is the first thing I'm going to do with this set. Combine everyone's weapons together into a ridiculous monstrosity of a gun and have Dolrailer at the trigger with the other 4 helping him hold it up and aim.

Battle Gaia was a redeco of G1 Bruticus released by Takara in 1992 during the Operation Combination line of the Japanese G1 era. He, like his Autobot counterpart Guard City (a redeco of G1 Defensor) is desirable for how obscure and rare he is, having never been reissued nor having appeared in much fiction beyond the original Operation Combination fiction and some minor fanwanky Japanese fiction of recent years. And because his deco looks cool.Insurgent wrote:Who is Battle Gear/Gaia and why do people want him?

Battle Gaia & Guard City were the first ever "repaints" if you will of Bruticus and Defensor respectively for the Japanese Manga Operation Combination @ 1992. I think its only one person that's asking, and doubtful these two versions will ever be remade. however I'm thinking that (at least with Battle Gaia), being the first Combiner repainted may have had some small part in making Bruticus the most often reproduced combiner to date.

I must say though, I know the baby puke tan is accurate to the Takara version of the character, and I wouldnt expect Takara to do anything less. But blech. I do not like it. Nope.
Still, looking forward to my TFSS Scourge having some actually accurate Commandos, and not the Energon guys.

Munkky wrote:My Unite Warriors Lynxmaster came in the post today, and I've been having a lot of fun with it. The only problem I've had so far is the joints on some of the individual figures are a bit tight, particularly on Trailbreaker and Ratchet, to the point where every time I transform them I get worried about applying too much force and breaking something off. Wheeljack's combiner port also makes a worrying CLANG that's louder and feels more strained than the ports on any other Combiner Wars Deluxe I own. Despite this, I'm pleased with my purchase and I do like Lynxmaster more than Superion or Ultra Prime.
Could you take some pics of the toys and their box if possible to show us? Especially Ratchet since that toy is totally new.

That said, I'd still want to replace those awful hands and feet. Yes they make better feet than the HFGs...but that's not saying much. They still have no forward/backward ankle movement, and the HFGs actually made better hands than the dedicated fists, which have ZERO articulation. At least the HFGs had a finger flap and a moveable thumb.
Regardless, hopefully I'll be able to get him.

(Combiner Wars Bruticus is the only Combiner I have on hand for a comparison right now)
While my version didn't come with a comic, there is this little drawing on the back of the instructions. You've got the Lynxmaster Autobots putting on a play; Sky Lynx is a dragon, Trailbreaker is a knight, Ratchet is a princess (Oh Japan, never ever change), and I think Hound and Wheeljack are doing light and stage effects with their HFG's. I don't know who the three people below Wheeljack singing opera are, if they're characters from Japanese or Sunbow G1 or if they're just entirely new. Optimus, Marissa Faireborne, Ironhide, Hot Spot and someone else (I can't tell who it is) are in the audience.

"OT"? I don't think the "Gear" name was even considered at the time.
As for why Baldigus over Battle Gaia, the latter hasn't been created yet at the fiction takes place, between Masterforce and Victory in 2021. Baldigus has, in 2000 in the Car Robots timeframe. Remember, Car Robots is considered G1, while the Robots in Disguise dub is its own universe. That's also why no US RiD names are used.
