Thanks to a heads up from Seibertronian RacerCheetor and the Takara Twitter page, we have even more images to share with you today of the highly anticipated Generations Selects God Neptune.

These new images show us the new combiner with the Robotmasters Lio Convoy, who himself was deluxe sized. Compared to the previous images with the masterpiece Lio Convoy, the Robotmasters Lio Convoy scales a whole lot better, and it gets really entertaining since God Neptune can totally pick Lio up and swoosh him around. Robotmasters Lio will definitely work well with the new Generations God Neptune.

God Neptune is currently up for widespread pre-order for around $185 USD, and is expected to arrive in mid October of this year. He is a repaint/retool of the recently completed King Poseidon minus Lobclaw and with the addition of some new tooling for Scylla.

Check out the images below, and let us know what you think in the comments section below!

As someone who has owned almost every Combiner Wars figure et al. including Piranacon, I am EXTREMELY skeptical that those combined-mode shoulders are that strong.

We thank Wireless_Phantom for letting us know of a post on Twitter from ARCTIC_ST0RM who posted a photo of two yellow Transformers using the Earthrise Cliffjumper mold. The one face up has the Hubcap headsculpt. There was a rumour for Hubcap (and Bumblebee) and this seems to be the it. This toy should end up being relreased thorugh the Generations selects line, which has been non exclusive for the most part (meaning several retailers sell these toys online). For those wondering who Hupcap is, this was a G1 toy that was also a yellow redeco of Cliffjumper with a new head (and no spoiler in the back). We included some images of Hubcap below if you want to see more of that odd and confusing G1 toy.

Now to settle the question of if the bot lying face down is hubcap, or bee himself. The head looks like it has tiny horns

I'm not sure the head crest would look like that from behind.. But we'll find out in good time.

Well no, because he is the only one left of the G1 Minibots. Picked from the line last :(

Last week, I finally shipped my last two Seacons from TFSource, along with a Legends Blue Big Convoy and an Earthrise Smashdown to get the free shipping.

After having finally opened all six of my Seacons both last night and night before last, I've now completed putting together my King Poseidon today. And boy is he a beast!

I managed to get him in a standing pose while holding all three of his main weapons: His combined sword, his combined gun, and Overbite in gun mode. With Overbite connected to his right fist, I put the sword in the same hand while his combined gun is held in his left hand.

This Selects combiner just feels so much more massive and heftier than most other CW/UW/Potpie-styled combiners that the higher price seems all the more warranted. So many accessories, so much bulk, this guy is CHUNKY!

The Legends comics might be pure fanfic-grade insanity but there is no denying that the Super/Ultra Megatron is definitely one of the dopest design out there and every time I see pics of it I'm reminded of this fact and how much of a good pick that mold was, once properly retooled. TR Galvatron was a cruelly underrated mold which got a lot of flak due to its poorly implemented headmaster integration and the flip out mask (especially as later TR offering showed a better helmet setup). That much is true. However I do think it has a certain super robot esthetic to it that Super Megatron help bring to the table and his nonsense power up and kibble variations are just icing on an already cool cake.

Sure he's not for everyone, especially if you're someone who dislike 'cybertronian' modes. But me? He hits all the right buttons and I suspect the only thing I will hate about him is that QC or mold degradation might cause some floppy legs. Or not, given the TR mold was only used for Galvatron previously.

Bumper (aka "Bumblejumper") wasn't even acknowledged until the Dreamwave Comics... In the US that is. In Brazil, he was a confirmed release, so...

Ironically, I'll probably get Hubcap before I get Cliffjumper or Bumblebee since I'm pretty satisfied with the versions I already have.

Gotta say, all the pics of Super Megatron convinced me to preorder him. Still may change my mind, though. He does seem pretty sweet.

SDCC was canceled before any exclusives were announced, but we suspect that that grey ER "Sleep Mode" Optimus Prime was one of them.

If it truly was... pretty ironic if you think about it :-?

SDCC is continuing in a fashion of sorts, by inviting fans to go online during the previously scheduled dates as many panels will be streamed live online. Whether or not Hasbro plans to have a panel for this event is unknown at this time. I'm sure there will be some SDCC exclusive toys, but they also are TBD. The sleep mode Optimus is a good guess, but as for the rest, it hasn't been revealed yet.

Nah, that was up for sale before anyone was remotely sure about SDCC being cancelled. I think the brighter-blue-and-more-gold variant of the Cobra Commander they just revealed as a "TheNTWRK" exclusive was gonna be the Joe SDCC exclusive.

I won this guy is a free spin game in a gaming Facebook page, super stoked to have a Seacon! He'll stand separate from my other 6 seacons once they arrive, he's gonna be my Battle Core Prime's buddy. and he'll be the start of a team built up from exclusive figures to form a sweet Prime combiner. Not sure when I'll finish the team, but they'll all be harder to find figures, and preferably ones that cover the 4 factions.

But, for now, it's awesome to have a seacon, to win a game, and have a Savage Sharkclaw mode!

As for Overbite himself, he's a pretty cool. He is a good retool of Rippersnapper, and the walking shark mode is pretty neat. I love the colors on him, and the amount of accessories is cool. He feels much more premium than other combiner limbs of late, and the hand that he comes with is also really good. Overall nothing really to complain about!

That's not all though, as these images were taken from a brand new video review of Hubcap! The reviewer was Jon Toys Reviews on YouTube and we've included the review for you below to check out.

Hubcap is a new redeco of Earthrise Cliffjumper sporting a new head.

Will this be your first chance at the Cliffjumper mold? Has Cliffjumper made such an impact on you that you want to track down Hubcap? Or are you just wanting a new representation of this old minibot? Let us know in the Energon Pub and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews!

The Deluxe Selects price is the same as Deluxe retail price. The figure is way better than Scout/Legends class, much more complex engineering-wise, it belongs at a Deluxe price point despite being a short figure.

It takes time, even I have been guilty at times, and fall back into that mode occasionally. Has there been a universally accepted "standard" of what designates a particular price point, or class? I've seen people talk about mass and/or parts count before, but this is a niche argument that needs to be made far more mainstream if this is the case.

I always thought it was amount of plastic that went into it (hence why taller figures were more hollow) though it could be argued that I was deluding myself. There probably isn't an official standard

That has always been the case as far back as I can remember, parts and materials costs. That's why we never got Breakdown in Transformers Prime. Only, it used to be that the budget was locked down to per figure, with each toy getting an equal part of the budget for the wave. In Energon, Hasbro told us that we had a choice of 3 of the Combiners with two seperate limb molds each or 2 combiners with 3 limb sets and thry went woth more characters. The argument of "size" comes from toys all roughly having the same amount of mass as each other given that they have the same materials cap, (and Hasbto has never been forthcoming about what that cap is) and as materials got more expensive, figures got smaller, but smaller proportunate to their own wave. It was not until recently when Hasbro removed the "per figure" budget cap and allowed for less complex figures to share excess parts hudget with other, more complex figures of the same price point. And thats how we get exampmes of Cliffjumper alongside guys like Hoist or Siege Itonhide.

All the legends class cars from Prime Wars had basically the same transformation: fall on their face, tuck in their arms, then flip back their legs. Maybe fold down a hood. Then rinse and repeat. Cliffjumper is complex enough it takes a moment to remember what to do if I haven't messed with him in a while. And the partsforming gives him a shield and a massive cannon or two pistols. The Legends class figures I have did not come with any accessories.

I'm the same. Only picked up cliff jumper because of a discount. In hand, he still doesn't feel like a deluxe (other than his joints) but it really wouldn't considering deluxe classics cliff jumper and comparing it to rts windcharger that was legends price that has some clever engineering/play (better ankle tilt and feet by far).

Maybe earth rise cliff jumper/hubcap could have been legends price with ball joints but I won't pretend to understand Hasbros pricing/production or laughable excuses made for it but people pay the same price for a 50g bag of chips as a 100g bag of chips :( if it works for food then why not toys :/

1. The Legends/neo-Scout size class is on hiatus because of Micromasters occupying the price point
2. Ball joints are too feeble for the C.O.M.B.A.T. system. They just can't take the weight as well. Especially not ball-joint elbows and hips.
3. Cliffjumper has the mass of a Deluxe (which kiiiiinda undercuts what you said about 50g vs. 100g bags of chips), and comes with accessories - which he wouldn't if he'd been made as a Legends-class.
