New Images of Rise of the Beasts Voyager Optimus Prime and Rhinox show that they are New Molds

That Rhinoceros mode is just a huge cube and that Optimus got Kibble cancer in truck mode.

Looking forward to Rhinox, but that overhead shot is a bit off-putting.

Thankfully though, when displayed, that angle won't be that obvious.

Agreed! The only thing that gives me hope, is the lack of hollowness (arms, legs, etc.). In hand, hopefully it's a solid figure. Haven't had a chance to watch the video yet, so fingers crossed, my hopes aren't already crushed lol

just looks like a brick in any mode. easy pass. not sure about the optimus yet.

I like both Prime and Rhinox. They both look neat. More mainline figures I will get!

Mainline = movie exclusive line, existing only for this movie
Standard = SS = regular priced voyagers

I'll add that the Cyberverse deluxes were around 5 or 10$CAN cheaper than the Generations or SS deluxes. I think it's the same for the recent Earthspark line too.

I like Rhinox a lot, Prime I think I'll wait for a sale.

I wonder how we would feel about these designs if the figures came out last year with the movie like they were supposed to? Would we have felt differently knowing potentially better alternatives were coming in the same year as opposed to a year later?

It's simple. The Bumblebee movie led a bunch of Bay-haters to think/hope/believe that the movies would be taking a more GEEWUN approach, design-wise, from here on out.

At best, it will be some kind of hybrid.
Still, I'd love to see another movie that went like RotF, where the Transformers were at their "Bayest".

Expecting someone to “get over that” is stupid.
I don’t care if it’s been 47 years since that first film.
Not to mention, not liking that style isn’t a simultaneous claim that G1 is the best, or that everything should go back to G1.

The point is not about "liking" or "not liking".
It's about hating so much that one is wishing for the thing to completely disappear. As if the thing is a scourge and only seeing it gone forever would that makes you finally happy.

When the first film was announced you practically had marches in the streets with people holding banners with Peter Cullen's face on it, and it worked. I would've expected almost the same thing for Primal, did I miss something?

Not only is he an actor fans like, and had already voiced the character before, but it seemed like a lost cause to do anything about it for those who would have really wanted Gary Chalk instead. I saw the trailer again before scream 6 and it was just weird to have prime sounding like prime and primal sounding not like primal. Though tbf to Garry Chalk he's better off out of a bad movie than in one much like Megatron in the first bay film (which wasn't even the worst of them but hey ho). As long as they dont do talking figures...

Not really, Buzzworthy is its own chimeric animal, taking bits from any current line there is.

Can’t take credit for this discovery, but someone on Reddit pointed out that the head sculpt on the new ROTB Scorponok figure bears a striking resemblance to ROTF Dead End, down to the asymmetrical stripes on the top of the helmet!

The Transformers Rise of the Beasts toyline is going all in on Rhinox for some reason. While we did see most of the toys he has coming out in the mainline, there was one missing, the Smash and Change one. This is basically the same as the 3 step toys Hasbro has been releasing for years now but with automorphing features. Well, we finally have a good look at him through some photos floating around online of him and Smash and Change Primal. Enjoy!

Well, Rhinox always was the more interesting character. Up until Tigatron. lol

Rhinox looks great in both modes. Better than the Kingdom one that's for sure to me.

Primal got the blues.

Takara revealed a ton of Rise of the Beasts toys today. Of course, it's the same toys we are getting, but these reveals give us some much needed info. For one, they confirm that we are getting individual releases of the deluxe figures. We did have listings for individual releases but some fans got worried when Hasbro mentioned Target exclusive multipacks including the same figures.

Speaking of exclusives, we have our first look at 3 step Scourge which will be voyager sized, as it is a retool of 3 step Optimus Prime, and that toy will be a Toysrus exclusive in Japan. This is our first look at that figure and it is also our first look at the new 1 step toys we are getting in this line.

The toyline is called Beast Awakening in Japan and the toys are available to order on Amazon Japan and Toysrus Japan.

Nice, I'm glad that Deluxe Bee has a flip out gun.

The deluxe Bee looks a lot better than in Hasbro's photos. The bumper swords are a nice touch.

We have even more Transformers Rise of the Beasts toy news coming from Japan. Firstly, the Scorponok target master figure will be exclusive to Toysrus there, which makes sense as it is a Target exclusive in the US. This official reveal from Takara shows us the alt mode, something we didn't get from Hasbro. We see the bot's Scorpion mode and we see the weapon mode of the scorpion target master.

Also, a big product launch for a toyline in Japan means a new campaign with an exclusive repaint. For these toys, Takara is doing a promotion where they will give away a red clear repaint of the Firedrive target master figure, called "Burning Plasma Blaster", to customers who purchase 5,000 yen (tax included) or more of "Transformers Beast Awakening" related products in store.

Hoping to get those lil animal Battlemaster buds, the other stuff's cute and neat but teeny lil animals becoming weapons is even cuter and neater imo!

I'm not sure what, but my PO on Amazon for the basic toys have pushed up to the end of the month.

The playability of this kids-focus line is pretty good! Some even surpass the Deluxe/Studio Series versions in screen accuracy (Bee, Nightbird).

Most of these looks very good.
I especially like the beast targetmasters.

The only thing that I don't like is that Cheetor who wear shorts in both mode. This look dumb.

Oh and those "one step" Bee and Nightbird are genius! Sure, the vehicle look damaged, but the bots are awesome for what they are.

Ok that Airazor looks good, might be nice to see it retooled into a Beast Wars Airazor as it looks even nicer than the Kingdom mold

I want it retooled (or at least give that transformation) to Terrorsaur. I really love the idea of having nice wings dissapear in robot mode, he needs that.
