New images of iGear's Kup01 "cygar"-less head

Just pre-ordered mine. I don't have a problem with the factory Generations head. But for only $12 it'd be crazy not to go for it. It would appear to make the figure a damn-site cooler.

Nice heads. Personally I'll be using the Cygar head and give 5 bucks to the first person that notices I have a cigar smoking Transformer.

March cannot come soon enough. These head molds make this figure for me. IDW Kup FTW.

If anyone wants the cygar-less head and lives around Vancouver, i'll probably sell it for 5 bucks, so PM me.

I would liked a more unique expression for his other head, but I'm still liking it. The official head strikes me more like the movie Kup as a wise old man and mentor. These are more like the IGN comics, with an aged badass vibe.

lol, I like the box and how it fits in the back of the truck. Both heads look good, but are they going to come unpainted?

That is pretty cool. I wonder if it was planned that way or just a coincidence? I'm confident the final product will be molded and painted in the correct colors.

So far iGear is only place with a pre-order. BBTS has never listed a preorder for their MP Prime heads so I doubt they carry these either. I would prefer to deal with BBTS or TFsource in most situations, but in this case you can't really beat the deal iGear has going.

C'est la vie. At least it was PayPal. I was a bit worried I'd have to fork a credit card over to them.

this head piece definately fits the charactor.....man i wish all the upgrades were this cheap ithought this was gonna be $30 or more

Since the box fits into the back, I'm going to attempt to use a similar insulation, or the one included, as well as any gun accessories I have to place them in there, like a weapons container. Glad that the igear logo isn't terribly lame in any way, and can pass for a munitions supplier.

I've decided that I'm going to use the original head for a custom Crystal Head Kup.

It'll be a prop made of Legos but still, I wanna have something like that sitting on my shelf lookin' all crazy with his ugly cygar-less face.

Seems kind of pointless with free shipping from Igear. Unless I guess you just happen to be browsing their site and see this for the first time.

If you were holding off on pre-ordering IGear's Kup01 head replacement set for Generations Kup until the fully painted versions were revealed the wait's over. IGear has updated their FaceBook page and pre-order page with fully colored images of both versions of the head that come in the set. The images have been mirrored below.

The colors look spot on. The more I see their versions the less I like the original, but then again I love his IDW incarnation.

I am really enjoying the rush of 3rd party choices over the past few years. This piece is no exception.

Well, it look sgood, and at a nice $12 with free shipping, I guess this is going to be my first purchase from iGear. Pre-ordered.

Still torn on this one...Don't get me wrong, the sculpt is fantastic! And the price is perfectly reasonable for a 3rd Party product...I really WANT it...

But...

As I've said in the past, iGear hasn't always been known for producing particularly high-quality stuff...Granted the only thing I own from them is Autoscout (which was their first release) but I'm pretty much afraid to TOUCH that thing because it feels like it will break if I breath on it too hard...I don't know if the quality of their plastic has improved since then...

My other big concern is colour-matching...FansProject are usually pretty good at getting their add-on pieces to match in colour but other groups have not always been as successful...An honestly, looking at these final-product images, it doesn't REALLY look to me like the colours match all that closely...They seem off to me...

I really really do like this head and I want it but I'm going to have to wait for some reviews and some better pictures...

So happy I pre-ordered this one!

Pity you can't attach these heads to G1/Reissue Kup.
