Agreed! The obvious choice but could they do that having already used the name "Scourge" for Generations without confusing people? They caould call him N'Prime and give him an RID Scourge bio, that'd work

Plus, "Nemesis Prime" would be more in line with RiD Scourge's Japanese name, "Black Convoy".

Articulation/posability is awesome. Love the head sculpt, nicely detailed for a Deluxe class. The sword is cool although the addition of a fire-arm is something that I think would have been nice too. A consistent paint job would have been even nicer since the blue/black combination with the flames redefines fugly and absolutely ruins what would otherwise have been an all around outstanding mold.

I plan on taking off the rub signs and replacing them with some repros. I loved the rubsigns back when I was a kid with my G1's, but not with these.....

Why must they make such an incredible-looking mold and give it such a -inducing color scheme? Idiots!
I'm so waiting for Toxitron, but I don't know if I can do it!

Am I the only one who sees a Motormaster in the design, with a different head sculpt? I am so freaking sick of every Optimus Prime being repainted as a Nemesis or Magnus. Repaint this guy as Motormaster and I might get it to stand in scale against my Classics Optimus Prime.

I can't wait for RtS. I want this figure so bad. He's more articulated than I thought.

We'd rather have something other than Magnus or Nemesis. Just saying.

Probably the same thing they thought when they gave him one in 1985. And again in 2006. It's just a part of the line for now. Deal with it, bros.

HFTD Dirge and Gen Dirge are both on shelves simultaneously, so who knows.

I've never liked rubsigns either. As headsortails said, you could always remove the rubsign, like I'm planning to do, and put some Reprolabels on him (who knows, maybe they'll even make an upgrade set for him).

I am the Ultra Magnus obsessed one. I can't stress it enough that we need an Ultra Magnus now, and even though I want a new mold, this mold would be perfect in my opinion.
Hey Hasbro, if you want something that won't shelfwarm like hell, why not go for...ULTRA MAGNUS?
You know you want to Hasbro.
Just do it.

An Ultra Magnus repaint would be awesome, and I would pick that up for sure. I don't dig city commander Ultra Magnus... just a lil too clunky.

I would certainly pick this up as Magnus or Nemesis/RID Scourge. But I have to ask, are you CRAZY? City Commander is freakin sweet.

I don't understand the extreme awesomeness of the city commander either. I think it looks clunky too. I like my classics Magnus the way he is. I want a G1 Ultra Magnus that really looks like G1 Ultra Magnus, and I still await that very figure.

I know what it is; it's the fact that the forearm is way larger than the shoulder, and then has this huge shoulder guard, and the similar effect for the legs; Huge shins and way smaller thighs(just so that you have an idea of why I don't like it that much). Yea, If they made this into an ultra magnus, i'd like it, but i'd basically be settling until its eventually, in some 1000 years, done properly.
Posted by Gandalf on January 9th, 2011 @ 10:54pm CST
I wouldn't be satisfied with this mold for Ultra Magnus. He desperately needs an all new mold. However, I can't WAIT for a Nemesis/Scourge repaint. I'm all for that one!

It's inevitable that there'll be a third party tanker trailer for this toy.
Posted by Cobalt Prime on January 10th, 2011 @ 8:12am CST
This figure also demands to be in Voyager scale so he's at least the same size and sturdiness of the Voyager Classics Prime. I have the impression that he's going to be fiddly like Classics Galvatron.

Oilspill wrote:I can see customisers getting him for those hands, the extra posability in them would be neat for any smaller customs.
Actually, after reading your comment his hands, i was thinking of Blurr, cause he has ball jointed hands like G2 Prime and Primes hands are blue, so not much painting would be required.

Sorry for being annoying, but do you guys think I should get another RTS Prime? Is it worth it? will it brake again? What do you think?

I'm going for a sword wielding shelf, and currently have Generations Drift and HFTD Banzaitron..
..do you think he fits the bill?

I would definitely think so... If I wasn't so choosy about having one figure per character (and already filled my prime slot with WFC prime), G2 prime is what i'd get, easily. So much character in the figure.
