Love what I'm seeing so far. HasTak take note: this is how a modern Springer should look like.

I can't wait to get this figure. He'll look great with my classics.

Not quite as nice as I had imagined it would be, still it is exponentially better than any version of Springer Hasbro has some up with. Fansproject continues to fill the (rather large) gap in the collector's market.

I see a big blank space waiting for a Reprolabels :BOT:!

Simply awesome in all modes! I really like the futuristic looks the alts have, and the botmode looks perfect. I can't believe this has metal parts too! I always wanted G1 Springer most of all the triplechangers, but this one beats the crap out of that one. And yes, it does seem to have room for Reprolabels.

I'm less impressed with the deco that I should be. It's pretty plain. On the bright side, it looks like he can dual wield pistols.

I may actually do some Repro labels for him if they make a set.

Posted by kirbenvost on March 22nd, 2010 @ 3:45pm CDT
Hmm. Surprisingly I'm also less impressed than I thought I'd be. I think it has to do with the colors looking just a bit washed-out. Perhaps it's due to the photography. Not to mention the pose they put him in isn't very exciting. I'm still pretty stoked, hopefully he turns out for the best.

I'm liking the helicopter mode the most so far. Bot mode is alright, could be sweet with some better action posing.

Real colors will always be slightly dissappointing compared to one's own imagination. Especially after such a long wait.

Damn, and here I was really looking forward to this guy but he seems to be lacking his main color "Green" they should have used a mixture of a light and dark green instead of gray or even they could have changed the light gray into a darker gray just like Hasbro did with the variant of Scattorshot. I wonder why Fansproject didn't show these pics off back in January to show us and get some feedback from the fans. All I can say is I hope it looks good in person if not it will probably be sold to a fellow collector.

Meh, the yellow is a little too lemony fresh for me. Kinda pokes the eye. I was hoping for a sort of dulled blaze orange.

Perhaps this has something to do with the die-cast construction? :-?

Well I'm quite thrilled with this. I think he looks all kinds of bad ass. Like Chuck Norris is 70, but could still eat a hand grenade kinda bad ass.

I too, like CP am slightly skeptical of the die-cast. I mean don't get me wrong I love die-cast, it really turns my crank, but it may make the figure top heavy and overall shitty to display in dynamic poses. I mean I want springer jumping all over the place.

Awesome! Now that's Springer!

Yes, I definitely agree the colors should be a bit darker, but in the end I'm still very excited for this guy. I've been saving cash for months. And don't worry Hasbro, if you ever decide to make a G1 style triple-changing Springer, I'll buy yours too.

Don't remind me... I went to TFSource's website and have you seen how much they're selling the Snowman Armor for now? $99! I was going to order it today with Defender because it was only like $40 or $50 but now I can't justify it.

Our dollar is par with the US but we still get served a nice cup of poison cappuccino thanks to the good bastards at border customs. I'm sure FP's stuff will show up at TFCon, so i'm in no rush.

Definitely on the fence regarding this one. Really need to wait on a review before I pull the trigger on this one and hopefully that won't be too late. Maybe it's because I brainwashed myself into liking the Universe version as my classics Springer but these pictures are really not doing it for me. Probably setting too high a standard to gauge FP but this looks like ass to me compared with the greatness of what they are doing with Bruticus. That's the beauty of Transformers though because you never really know what your going to like or not until you play with it. ;)

It's Springer. A triple changing Springer... who'd have thought. Interesting, the guy was never redecoed into other characters, so I don't know how their going to spread the love of this mold besides saturating the market.

He's a little blank, and I was hoping for a heavier saturation scratch that, the inbox close-up is exactly what I wanted to see. In that case he doesn't need as much reprolabels to pretty him up as I thought. (I'm just sayin', I'd still get the reprolabel kit).

I'm not going to lie, these pics have made me a little hesitant.

Of course, I'm going to get him, but now the burden of awesome is on the toy. Looking at the panel movement, I'm wondering if this toy is going to feel appropriately "solid".

But what?

Complete your argument. Explain how lower production numbers and a lack of major industrial captial do not equate to significantly higher prices.

I'm surprised that this wasn't in the $125 range.

I know the price is easy to choke on but still. These companies have a lot to go through to make this all happen.

So far I've ordered 3 Piles of Loot from BBTS, and only been charged duties once, and it was under $20 for a $200 box of toys. Just don't get it shipped through UPS. NEVER through UPS, they rip you off with their customs fees.

Edit: Never mind, I just found out I have to pay $30 on $200 worth of toys. #-o I still stand by my preference of couriers though, UPS would've charged at least twice that much.

Just outta curiosity, what's your wreckers line up consist?

Mine:
Univ Countdown= Perceptor
Cyb Wingsaber as himself
Univ Hardhead as Bulkhead (for now, he'll be Hardhead again if Headrobots does a Hardhead)
TFCC WoH Flak as himself
Univ Overload as himself
GF Dark Fangwolf as Warwolf (kiiiiinda like Snakeyes, but not really)
Energon Strongarm as himself
Univ Roadbuster as himself
and finally Springer

Roster is subject to change just like regular Wreckers.

These guys are the equivalent to the G.I. Joe in my TF verse.
