With this preview, it is confirmed that the 2010 Botcon Theme will be Generation Two!
From 1984 to 2006, Earth was the biggest, baddest battlefield of the Great War. But after the Rebirth,
Galvatron and the Nebulan Lord Zarak beat it, takin' the fight to Nebulos and other civilized worlds beyond. Sure 'nuff, Optimus Prime and the rest were right on their afterburners, leaving only a skeleton crew to man Autobot City against future Decepticons attacks.
As we fought across space a new generation of Transformers arose on Earth, boosted by experimental human and Nebulan science and given the spark of life through technology reverse-engineered from Vector Sigma. Ol' Terra Firma was home to a whole new "Second Generation" led by an Autobot who sees this planet not only as a place to defend, but as the place he considers home!
While things were pretty peaceful for a time, we all know that can only last for so long. And now, through the magic of the Cybernet space cube, the BotCon enhanced stories of the Transformers...Generation 2: Redux!
That's right, Generation 2 returns! While we usually reveal the names of each character in the BotCon brochure, we have decided to give you your first sneak peak right here with..."Autobot Spark," Leader of the Generation 2 Autobots!

Can't... stop... laughing...
I know Pyro had a similar color shame (the red is tooooooooooo bright on this one!) but this mold with this colors just looks too funny.

No. And this thing here looks like Rainbow Bright got a hold of it. I'd almost be embarrassed to travel clear to Florida for this. ::sigh::
Decade later? More like 15-20 years later. G2 has not been around for some time.
As for the garish colors, that is G2's trademark.

Ok, it's been about 15 years. I knew it was between 13-15 years, but I wasn't exactly sure, that's why I said more than a decade.
And I know it was G2's trademark, that's why I only ever purchased afew of them.

Can you buy them separately?
With the amount I get from my parents I couldn't afford that.

Sorry to make it sound like I was jumping all over your post. I saw the decade ago bit and G2 did not come to my mind. When I think of a decade ago, Car Robots/Robots in Disguise comes to mind. The G2 toys seem so long ago for me.
I loved most of the G2 molds (repaints and all), so I treasured most even if the paint decos were rather odd.

Nah, don't worry about it. Decade does look kinda funny, I should have looked up the number of years before I posted that. I think my issue with G2 really might stem from the lack of fiction or their true place in the TF timeline. If they could have explained the bizarre colors then maybe I could accept it a bit better. The G2 comic was just a continuation of G1, but if I remember right, Furman continued to use the characters in their G1 colors for the most part, so that's of little help. I dunno, tell us they're from the Killing Jar dimension or something, anything!

I never said it was Pyro.. just that it looked like Pyro.. but yes, it is 'Spark'. Guess I'll change the post since if you were confused then that means everyone else is too.

Hey man don't worry about it. It's called 'Autobot Spark', says so after the italicized paragraph on their website;

Nope, Prime, Megatron, and Sideswipe were all depicted with their G2 color schemes. Not sure about Ramjet, if he even made an appearance. All the original-to-G2 characters were also drawn to match their figures. The Dinobots were shown in their original colors, however, as opposed to blue Grimlock, green Slag, red Snarl, etc.
Hmmm, on that note, a blue Grimlock from the Classics mold would be really fun.

We've seen character #2 out of like 12. And Botcon 2009 had an even number of Decepticons and Autobots, if you count the Sweeps as individuals then there's actually more Decepticons than Autobots.

If they revisit G2 and don't make a shiny reflective BB and CJ along with a black Sideswipe this botcon set will so be a "fa-fa-fa-fail".

Im new to all this and this will be my first and probally only Botcon cause its in my home state. But if Im correct, the 2009 Botcon Primus Package set (Pasidena California) consisted of 5 autobots. They give you more than 5 figures with purchace of a primus package ???
If you have a minute, can you list all the figures that one who purchased the 2009 primus package would get guarenteed ??? (not counting any bonus figures given to those in the right place at the right time or raffle winners)
