Having now presented to you our galleries of all the standard Headmaster figures, it's time we delved into the realms of the new and the interesting.

Our latest gallery presented to you today is that of the crazy-as-all-get-out-purple-people-smasher leader of the Decepticons from Season 3 of the original Transformers cartoon and the sometimes leader from the Headmasters cartoon: Legends Galvatron! Galvatron is the Takara version of the Hasbro released Titans Return Galvatron with Nucleon, featuring, among other things, a lighter shade of purple for his paint scheme. He also comes with his Headmaster pal Megatron, who features a much more detailed paint scheme than his Hasbro counterpart, Nucleon.

You can check out the whole gallery by clicking any of the below images. Let us know what you think of this latest iteration of the big bad Decepticon Emperor of Destruction in the comments section, and as always stay tuned to Seibertron.com for all your latest Transformers News and Galleries!

But you can't have them fight separately, though.

At least, not without Fort Max being headless (which kinda defeats the point of his being a Headmaster).

Isn't that true for all Headmasters, though? Beasides, it's not like Fort Max needs a head for his alt modes.

Funny how the one time hasbro goes for the cartoon colors instead of G1 toy colors, it comes out better than takara's attempt. :APPLAUSE:

I hate how it looks like they put no thought into the jet mode other than letting the nose do all the work. The way the legs just splay out at odd angles bugs me.

I tried to see if I could utilize those panels on the boots to at least cover the thighs. It just feels like a little effort could've made a better jet. Heck, they could've just left the boots how they are for cannon mode and just gave him some flip out wings or something.

It's... kind of ironic. Your post was meant to critique his jet mode, yet those pictures have quickly sold me on the jet mode and made me fall in love with it.

Note that The legs aren't tabbed to anything. I'm just relying on the tightness of the joints.

They were counting how many whole Headmasters each faction had in the original line.

Autobots: 5 - Cerebros/Fort Max, Chromedome, Hardhead, Brainstorm, Highbrow
Decepticons: 6 - Scorponok, Skullcruncher, Mindwipe, Weirdwolf, Apeface, Snapdragon

Your counting Cerebros and Fort Max separately didn't make sense in that regard since one is a piece of the other's whole.

All individual characters, in most cases with a few exceptions like Action Master partners, have their own separate galleries. While I wanted the Action Masters like Wingthing to have their own galleries, it didn't make sense to have Bumblebee's Helicopter partner have a gallery. Same with the recent Transformers Legends figures from Takara Tomy such as Hardhead and Skullcruncher who have the equivalent of Action Master partners.

Not to mention that Cerebros is a really awesome figure. His first ever "cool" figure. He's almost Voyager Class sized. He should definitely have his own gallery!

Our offering today in terms of new toy galleries - a staple feature of Seiberton.com - is once more from the Transformers Titans Return line: Leader class Soundwave, with Titan Master Soundblaster! That's right, Soundblaster the clone/rebuild of Soundwave from the original cartoon series finds its way into the new toy line in the form of a Headmaster under a new name, though still sporting the blue and grey colours of the bigger robot. As for the Decepticon communications specialist himself, this being the Hasbro version we get yellow visor, and a general retool and redeco of the Blaster mold, complete with base mode and compatibility with the Legends class figures. Check out a sample from the galleries below, and click on any of the images to view the full works!

I would go for it. Having the main cons in leader scale would be pretty sweet... if you can afford it mind you, but still a cool concept

This really looks nice, but being on a budget, I'll probably just get Blaster, as this mold fits him more and I have the YOTG MP Soundwave.
Also...coreect me if I'm wrong, but isn't this the first time we get a minion compatible Soundwave that does NOT include any minions at all? WFC didn't come with any either, but there weren't any made for him, even Prime Soundwave came with either Ravage or Laserbeak, even if they were simple.

I kinda want the Headmaster because of how morbid it is (also, it's Mini-Soundwave!), but the rest of him is rather poofy-looking (which somehow doesn't look as bad on Blaster).

Yeah. WFC had no minions and wasn't compatible with any. I have FoC Soundwave (and minions) and he's kind of my "Generations" Soundwave stand-in for the moment. Not a bad size being a voyager and the minions are also nice to have too. Just he's a Cybertronian car instead of a stereo, but with fiddling he could be a Cybertronian stereo.

Yeah, so far Voyager FoC Soundwave is easily the best CHUG Soundwave we have. He's the right size, he looks great, has good articulation... it's all good. And even though the minions are simple, Laserbeak and Buzzsaw still work very nicely.

Plus FIRRIB. Can't forget FIRRIB. :P

I do wish I could get Buzzsaw without getting Soundblaster though. But I do love how all of the minions are represented mostly.

Eeeeh... I really don't like their Rumble or Frenzy. Or their Ravage, for that matter. They look a bit crap to me so I'd rather go with other versions.

That was a big selling point for me with FoC Soundwave and Blaster. Being able to have a good lineup of their minions. It's a shame that autotransform gimmick wrecked their designs so much.

Admittedly, the designs for the bird and cat characters aren't great here but they're a little better. At least Laserbeak and Buzzsaw have feet this time.

I pre-ordered the Takara version of Galvatron, appreciating the better attention to detail on the paint apps (silver painted face, red belt buckle, etc.) and hoping that the "soap" lavender color was just a function of stock photography with bad color correction. It was not the case. >.< I've since picked up the Hasbro version, and while the purple is a little too dark, and some of the nice red paint apps are missing, it still looks a lot closer to the cartoon for JUST the shade of purple used. I was going to attempt to kitbash the two, swapping some parts around to get some of the extra paint apps on Hasbro's Galvatron, but the construction is a bit more complicated than I had originally anticipated, necessitating disassembling the entire torso to switch the shoulder pads, for instance. Also, I can NOT get that weird little purple piece to come out of the top of the canon, even with the screw removed. I'm just settling for swapping the headmaster units for now, giving Hasbro's Galvatron a nice silver-painted face.

As for Leader Soundwave, he looks great, if still just a bit too big for my proper "Classics" display shelves. The FoC Voyager version from a few years ago will continue to fill the "neo G1" role. For his minions, I think the best Rumble and Frenzy are actually the recent Transformers Adventure release. They've got that great combination of G1 detail and general silhouette with an updated alt-mode. The new Titans Return versions look good, but the mold fits Blaster's humanoid cassette buddies much better. I'm not sure on Laserbeak and Buzzsaw yet. Their Titans Return versions are good, but I do like their data disks forms from FoC, and they actually work with that figure, which is still in my current display. Same goes for data disk Ratbat (I wonder if he will get a Titans Return update?). So far, nothing has really surpassed the Universe 2008 Ravage that came with Hound 8 years ago. Heck, every Classics iteration of him seems to get worse. I just can't get behind table-cat with butt wings.

The very first Transformers figures for the Titans Return line appeared during the tail-end of Combiner Wars, with Buzzsaw - now, with our newest toy galleries, we delve back into the current line, and its Legends class, with Soundwave's other cassette minions: Rumble, Ravage, and Laserbeak!

Rumble continues the age-old diatribe about the colouring, for some, as is presented in a small, black and red tank and tablet modes alongside his robot one; Ravage also shares a tablet mode, but couples his cat-like stealth to a jet mode; Laserbeak swoops in with another variation of the spy tablet, and a questionable spiky armored vehicle mode. And of course, all of them are compatible with Soundwave by fitting into his chest - check it out by clicking on any of the images below!

You know, I'd be fine with the Ravage/Stripes mold if they did something with those side panels. You really don't see them from the side so it looks like he has decent proportions, but any other angle and those side panels make him look, how did someone put it, like a table? It just throws him right off.

So what figures are sized correctly to be able to hold any of the "minions" as a tablet or phone in that mode? Maybe Metroplex/Fort Max?

They look cool, but being on a budget, I really can't justify getting them when I already have the MP squad, I'll try to get the Autobot counterparts instead so that my Soundwave and his minions can have rivals :)
Might try to get Ravage, though, you know, MTMTE and Roberts are to blame for this one :-(
