More Images of Upcoming Transformers Studio Series Thrust

Thrust definitely looks better in the new pics, I gotta say it's growing on me.

Gotta say, that Thrust is damn sweet!

Of all people, I appreciate, that you appreciate the Micron Legends version, because yes it does make the series a bit more tolerable. But let's be honest, most UT fans haven't bothered to seek it out. In fact, that entire series could benefit from a redub to fix dialogue errors, (and to present the animation corrections completed later for the Japanese version) and finally to recast at least some of the characters' voices, that might make it slightly better in english at least.

I was about to question why those colours, until I saw it paired to the Armada version of the character. Still, I'm pretty attached to the original Conehead so, should I ever buy something like that, I'll probably come up with an original name... something like "Mint Storm"?

This ended up being one of my favorite alt modes so I'm buying every one they release. The robot mode is really cool but it's the jet mode that really shines here.

I'll probably get 2 of these because adding more green & making Acid Storm is just too easy.

For my meaningless two cents, the Armada version of Thrust is the only one of the two that I could tell someone anything about, and I've watched all of the G1 cartoon and none of Armada.

I will be taking a short hiatus from these projects because I got accepted to Medical school! I will be bringing my paint stuff and a couple bots with me, but it'll take a while to pack and get set up there. Projects will be slower going forwards, but I will definitely keep at it!

Excelent paintjob, as always. Love the little details you pick up in paint, that's the essence of the Movie designs for me.

I purchased a Studio Series Cybertonian Bumblebee figure. I needed it to do a stop motion movie.

Be careful with the chest plate. On Cliffjumper, it's all painted clear plastics and those are on a TIGHT joint. It may be the same thing for that Bee.

Welp, since ROTF Soundwave was $10 yesterday ($8 today ) and I need more Cons for my Bayverse shelf, I decided to pick him up. He should be here Sunday and I'm kind of happy I'll have the figure. I know he's not exactly the best, but I like what I've seen of him so far.

Plus the savings of getting a Deluxe class for half price helped me justify spending $22 on TR Fangry to myself

Just wondering, does Target go by the long product code on their receipt or a shorter one? Because if it's the shorter one shared by all studio series toys, there could be some fun to be had with this half priced deluxe.

ROTF Soundwave is actually pretty good, the flight stand opens a lot of fun opportunities for poses.

With Grindor being found at toy stores in Australia, I wonder how much longer it will be until they show up in the states/rest of the world? Hopefully Jolt and the rest of the deluxes show up at retail soon too since Hasbro doesn't seem to care about revealing them.

Jolt's gotta be leaked any day now.

Although, today is the 12th anniversary of ROTF. Since 3/4 live action figures in that wave are ROTF, maybe we'll see something today? It's a long shot, but that'd be cool.

To catch up on the last 2 weeks, The only SS figure that has stuck around around here was helicopter Dropkick, and it's hilarious because car dropkick was seen once and never again by me.

I'm excited for Grindor.

Jolt and the other deluxes have got to leak any day now. I am ready for Jolt.

I also really like thrust. He looks good! The green is sharp, and they did good with the conehead. I'll take him.

Just a heads up, JTPrime found a listing for SS ROTF Sideswipe that lists the figure as SS-78. That leaves SS-77 unaccounted for, so we could have another exclusive. We've heard that BB Thundercracker and Skywarp will be exclusives, so it could be one of them.

Sideswipe being 78 doesn't make a lot of sense, the 3 deluxes should in theory be right next to each other in numbering, but instead they are 74, 75, and 78. I would think Sideswipe should be 76 and thrust 78. And that gap, hmm, exclusive, but what if it was another figure meant to be in the wave before SS86?

I believe that Sideswipe is part a separate wave that comes out in November. That is why he is 78. This summer wave is jolt, BB, 86 Gnaw, and 86 jazz repack

It might've been mentioned before, but it just hit me. SS86 Kup should have come with a busted Sharkticon tail accessory/weapon. I was just watching all the Sharkticon scenes on Youtube & got reminded of that scene where Kup rips off a Sharkticon's tail. Since Studio Series 86 has been including all kinds of movie-accurate accessories I'm surprised they didn't give Kup a Sharkticon tail. Of course if CHEAP-ASS Hasbro did include the tail they would have bumped Kup up to voyager class.

I've been working on some custom Sharkticons & made resin copies of one of their tails. But now I'm not going to use them because the new Studio Series Sharkticon tails are a lot better. I'm going to make copies of the new ones. But the ones I already made are perfect for Kup.

Just need to paint it blue.

The one you made looks nice, and I'm happy for you, but it doesn't need to be framed as a fight with Hasbro.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't included because the Sharkticons themselves need them and are coming as well. More authentic (and more $$ for Hasbro) if you have Kup break it off a Sharkticon himself than just including one in the box.

I'm not mad at all. I was just mentioning it. If you don't want it that's fine. But it would have been cool of Hasbro to include it for anybody that does want it. They could have sculpted it like it's busted up & battle damaged.

Those ... aren't the same thing. You only need one energon goody dispenser regardless of how many Allicons you get, but you need tails for every Sharkticon. This is a non-issue.

Happy 10th to my favorite movie, and my first Transformers movie I saw in theaters! I'm so glad that Studio series has given us updated versions of these characters, there's just a few more left to go!

Nice vignettes! DoTM Ratchet is a dynamite little figure, really glad i picked him up. Articulate and a tidy transformtion. Plus he passes the roll test! No Shockwave fighting jetwing prime? Honestly Im waiting to pull my movie Shockwave back out until the DNA upgrade kit I preordered ships (sigh)

Thank you! I really like SS DOTM Ratchet as well, it's one of my favorite figures.

I did grab one of Shockwave v Optimus, but without the jetwing gear:

Ladies and Gentlemen: Studio Series Jolt and ROTF Sideswipe! These reportedly originated from Facebook, but I have yet to find that original source.






I think Jolt looks pretty great - definitely lots of kibble, but I like how it's broken up, and the molded detail looks great.

Sideswipe has almost everything remolded that they needed to for vehicle mode - except the headlights. That's kinda funny because the headlights are sculpted on his robot mode forearms. He's basically the same in robot mode, but with some added silver paint to he forearms and some different color plastic for the legs and maybe arms. We don't see guns in the pics, so e don't know if they're included with this release or not.

Turns out it's one of his fingers! The whips, when used, replace one of his fingers.

WOW! They both look so good! Sideswipe is prefect for his RotF. I actually really like the look of the panels on Jolt and I can't wait to see if they have some movement to them. Hopefully these start popping up in stores in a few weeks!

Forgive my lack of attention to detail, but what's the difference between Sideswipes appearance in RotF vs DotM? I meay I know other Transformers that had basically identical modes in multiple films still get more than one toy,but I was just curious.

Sideswipe is a roofed car in Revenge of the Fallen, and a convertible version of the same car in Dark of the Moon.

Really want to see some more pics of Jolt's head sculpt. All the prior figures are based on concept art, and we don't see a lot of Jolt's head in ROTF. . . or the rest of him, really xD

One other thing: The kibble on SS Jolt's back is actually fairly accurate, the alt mode side windows in particular work nicely as the thin parts that stick out:

Welp, I thought I was done collecting SS Autobots until they released a better Crosshairs and Drift (not counting new movie designs from Rise of the Beasts of course), but Jolt looks too good to pass up! Sideswipe might also get picked up due to my nostalgia for the ROTF toy (even after I took a break from collecting TFs after Prime ended, I still loved messing with ROTF Sideswipe), but he might be a clearance buy

Fellow Seibertronian EvasionModeBumblebee, among others, alerted us of new images showing the upcoming deluxe Studio Series Jolt and ROTF Sideswipe. These deluxes are going to be in the same wave as the previously revealed SS 86 Gnaw figure. Jolt is a completely new mold while Sideswipe is a retool of the DOTM SIdeswipe figure we got a few years ago. The molding differences are all in the alt mode since he is no longer a convertible here.

These should be coming out in a couple of months and their preorders were already available when the full waves became available to purchase a month ago on a few sites like BBTS and Entertainment Earth. However, both these toys are called "TBA" in those full wave listings. We don't now when Hasbro will choose to reveal them officially but it should be soon or else we will see these at retail before the reveal.

I've been waiting a long time for this reveal, as I suspected it looks as if Jolt has been modeled on his final design in the movie rather than the concept art that every other Jolt toy is based on. He's a bit kibbly, but still looks okay, I may need to see a few more images before I commit to buying one.

It's sad I keep forgetting Jolt exists. I feel like he didn't get much love in the toyline.

I have the original RotF Jolt, and he's such a minor character that I was going to skip this, but that actually looks pretty good.

Having a hard time telling from EvasionMode's pics if it's actually more accurate, though, haha. Can't even tell if he had those turbine's/fans on his chest in the movie. The hands look better, at least.
