It just has an awesome color scheme and Scourge was one of my favorite characters in R.I.D.1, so I might might pick this guy up at some point, even though Optimus Prime and Motormaster are my least favorite Combiner Wars figures.
What do you dislike about motormaster. I though the truck mode was near perfect.

Well, I don't have Motormaster, but I did pick up Optimus Prime. And, aside from the unpaintable grey plastic (which one of these days, I shall fix with Reprolabels) I've liked him a lot more then I was expecting to based on photos I saw before buying him. Not my favorite Optimus, but still a good mold.

You're not alone! I have issues with Hasbro's CW Prime only because of the lazy paint execution. Though I don't have MM yet, I've seen enough pics to know I'll like him. And I'm dying to get Grand Scourgemegatronus wrote:I love that Motormaster mold. Hands down one of my favorite CW figures, but it appears I'm in the minority.

I don't think so. He is a great figure. He is such a beast in bot mode. His transformation feels powerful and lends to him being a brawler.

Totally agree. I love that guy, probably my favourite stunticon. And that truck mode is really sweet. I am really impressed at how nice and detailed each mode is (the truck has barely any kibble from the robot mode and the robot mode has plenty of new details you dont find in truck mode). To me, he's the Cybertron Hotshot of trucks.

For all the Mototmaster/Menasor naysayers out there, a simple mis-transformation can greatly improve him!william-james88 wrote:Totally agree. I love that guy, probably my favourite stunticon. I can't deal with that. Rook and Alpha Bravo are going to pair with Optimus. I flat out refuse to combine Autobots with Decepticons.
"FOOL! Galvatronus does not ask, Galvatronus TAKES!"
Haha, also doesnt the bio say he can mid control everyone?
Exactly! Autobot or Decepticon, all bend knee to Galvatronus (or make one).
Kneel before Galvazod!

And you can tell that it's Hasbro's Menasor due to Drag Strip having purple stripes and no black shoulders, and Motormaster being gray instead of black.

From what I got from google translate, the event was from a Takara Tomy booth Miyazawa Model Exhibition last April 16, 2015 and was labeled as:
Menazoru
Transformers UW02 Menazoru
TT must not have the actual TT version available at the time of the exhibition.

The deco wasn't finalized back then, so Takara just used Hasbro's as stand-in like they tend to do.fenrir72 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:That's Hasbro's Brake-Neck.fenrir72 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:That's just Hasbro's Menasor.

Along with the Groove reveal, we also get to see our first glimpse of Transformers Adventures Powerglide, Cosmos, Drift, and a Steeljaw (with a very Prowl'esq deco).
Tired of reveals? We're almost done! Earlier today TFyuki showed us Legends G1 Megatron in his cardboard prison, and teased Aramada Megatron. But now he's in the flesh... err plastic! And alongside him is Black Convoy? He of course is a repaint of Reveal the Shield Laser Optimus Prime, and a version of him was already made by the Transformers Collectors Club.
*Phew*... take a deep breath and stay tuned to Seibertron.com for all your Transformers News!

Armada Megatron looks cool, but won't replace my Hasbro one, and not enough difference in Powerglide or Cosmos.
Nice designs though.

Police Steeljaw should totally have K-9 printed on him somewhere.

Congrats to Takara for creating and insisting on original G1 team members for there combiners. Since there made, Hasbro will probably release all of them eventually.
Think it's easy for anyone to speculate that Takara Unite Warriors deluxe Groove. Will get repurposed as CW Technobots Afterburner.

Groove can totally use Alternity powers to control two auto-avatars at once, attaching to the same combiner twice, or two at once. Defensor DoubleGroove Formation!

Defensor DoubleGroove Formation! GIGA GROOVE BREAK!!!!!!!!
I knew it was a good idea to wait. Minus the fact I had no Idea of any proper scourge was ever going to be made again.

I only ask because when Takara brings out the withheld character for "proper" configuration and online retailers follow suit, it'll be nice to know who's getting booted on to Galvatronus's team of castoffs.

Since the Hasbro American prices are so cheap for these Combiners Wars toys. Can afford to buy both toy classes for CW Groove.

when i first heard of deluxe groove i thought the same thing maybe it will eventually be used as afterburner but looking at that picture of groove they would need to significantly have to retool
it to look right

Looking at some of the repurposed CW toys. Most are extensive retools. Given that, Think it's plausable to expect a CW deluxe groove repurposed into CW Afterburner.
Guess we'll know in a few weeks at Botcon or SDCC.

I think Groove just looks more detailed because it's in prototype form. The gray-scale really brings out the detail that often gets missed in a busy or more diversely-colored deco.
I'll be honest, I was hoping that Legends Armada Megatron turned out to be Armada Galvatron.
