Also, pictures provided by autobase aichi (who also took pictures of the other character variants) show Megatronus’ alt mode. Since the Megatronus character is unlockable in the game and can be transformed in game, the blogger unlocked him and snapped a photo of his alt mode (I didn’t have enough points to unlock). The alt mode seems to be a cybertonian tank (gasp!).

He is getting an Ultra Figure too. It was described in the list and there is a picture of it here: http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/first-image-of-megatronus-and-new-robots-in-disguise-toys-and-classes-hinted-in-the-app/32798/
Also, since Grimlock and Optimus are also available in "deluxe" class, we need a megatronus in that same class to scale with them.

Sure, but that doesnt mean there would have been a toy of him. There isn't toy of every decepticon yet and no toy of Micronus. It turns out that when you look at this app correctly, the Ironhide and Prowl characters are not yet confirmed as being unlockable through a toy purchase.

I never said they were going to be toys.
I'm just saying that Prowl was going to be in the first episode which means he had a rid design made for him and I can see Prowl showing up in season 2 or something like that with Ironhide.

And I'm stating facts regarding to the Prowl who was revealed in the app.
Not sure how its not related to the thread when I'm on subject.

Yeah, thats why I assumed you were talking about the toys. If you want to talk about the show itself and who is in it and who isnt, please go to this thread. Dont feel like I am forcing you to do something or not, I just want to avoid confusion and I want to avoid more cases people telling you that this isn't the thread for that kind of conversation.

I did mention it on the show thread but no one noticed.

A possible Prowl toy was revealed in this thread (turns out, probably not), NOT that Prowl would be appearing on the show (which is what you are writing about). When new age of extinction toys were announced, the toy thread discussed the toys while the thread about the film talked about what the toy reveals meant for the movie. This is the same thing. While the interest in your post on the other thread may have been little, writing it again in this thread will get an even lower response since the people coming to this thread are discussing the toys and NOT the show. In fact, as you noticed, it just gets the response that you are posting in the wrong thread. You can do as you wish, but if you hope for a discussion on anything show related, you probably wont find it here.

But his alt mode was confirmed to be a H tank, which is not what Optimus' alt mode is. In any case, Drift, Bumblebee and Jazz all seem to have similar shapes but they are all different molds afterall.

PrymeStriker wrote:Holy **** that's a lot of repaints.
I was thinking that too but then I looked at the Prime Line and realized that it was pretty similar. Most of the Beast Hunters line was just retools, Bee had his night deco there too, and between Takara and Hasbro, there were a bunch of seekers and both Prime and Kup just using different colors.
And there was a truckload of Voyager Megatron redecos (and even a bunch of redecos of the cyberverse class). While this looks like a lot, there is a definite precedent for it and its just max 2 per mold, which is what combiner wars is doing too. Legion, one step, and warrior bee are all getting at least on redeco, so it looks like A LOT, but they are different molds. Still, it gives me vibes of the swarm that took over the movie lines.
I actually find it super cool how we get a hint of how different the toy is from the models shown. Looking at one step optimus, we can see the vehicle halves hanging in back of his shoulders.

Yes. I found that to be quite annoying as well.
Bumblebee being in the spotlight once again is also annoying me as well. I mean, come on! This has been going on for eight years! It has to stop.

Also, a fun fact. In truck mode, Warrior Optimus scale perfectly with DOTM Cyberverse Commander Optimus with trailer in truck mode!
In a way, ir's like RID Optimus go full Super Mode in bot form.

I'd been eyeing Warrior Grimlock, but if he's coming out in G1 colors, I'm holding out for that.

Mold for mold, I think they are about as great. Both toys are fantastic basically. However, Hasbro Bee is WAY too "naked" for paint aps. Go Takara all the way for him. Hasbro Drift only lack his facial hair for paint aps. Nothing a pointy Sharpie cant fix. That's what I did. The bot and car's deco are full of amazing details. I have no idea what Takara Drift will look like. But when I saw Drift live AND on sale, I couldnt help myself. No need to wait for him.

Well now that you took the last one, I might as well wait (plus I have a raincheck). Oh and on a side note, the entrepot the jouet has closed.

If it's a brand new toy. Just hoping Rid Ultra Megatronus has a fully articulated robot mode. Think it would be a shame if the robot had almost no articulation. Like the RID Hyper change toys toy.

I heard they were supposed to move closer to where people actually live. All we have to do is wait.
Will Drift be the shortpacked, high-demand figure of the line?

You guys say that but I know that you X have a (KO) LeoKaiser. And that guy was all about animal heads and names who have normal vehicles, making this a very G1 concept (also very Japanese since we never got him here). Liokaiser is one of the most sought after G1 toys of all time and his entire shtick is what you people seem to call dumb. Do you guys think it looks dumb on Liokaiser too and would you thus not buy him if he were rereleased?

The LioKaiser bots were really animal shaped helmets that surrounded normal human like robot faces. My guess LioKaisers head was a voltron homage, another robot with an animal helmet that surrounded a human like robot face.
RID is totally different. The Decepticons dont have animal helmets with normal human like robot faces. Instead, they have complete animal heads which feature dog snouts, crab eyes, and now deer antlers. Im sorry, thats just plain stupid. Just my opinion though. They have no reason to have animal heads. They turn into cars.

See nothing wrong with these beastial looking robots that turn into vehicles for the RID2015 toy line.
Adults are not the targeted consumer for these RID2015 toys. As long as kids like them and buy them. Then HasTak created a good toy line for kids.
Don't think Adults fans have anything to complain about and could easily skip on buying the RID2015 toys. As Hastak is creating Masterpieces, Generations and CW toys for adults fans.
Think some adults fans need to learn how to share the TF brand with the younger kids. Also remember that you don't need to buy everything.

Maybe they were all robotic animals on Cybertron, who adopted a vehicle mode on Earth. This guy was an animal, before being put into this body:

Calling the Second year toys of Transformers Prime by the name, Beast Hunters. Was a tribute. To the canceled name for the 2000 Transformers toy line and cartoon. That received the name, Beast Machines instead of Beast Hunters.

As alien robots they have equally as little reason to have recognizable humanoid heads at all. It's all aesthetic convention that has no basis on what alien robots that change shape willy nilly would actually look like and everything to do with traditional human ideas and our strong tendency towards anthropomorphising everything we create. Animalistic heads are no more or less logical than human heads or mono eyes or a fucking just lump of random radomes.

Once again, your kind complain about a single detail while missing the whole picture. It's not just the head those have. They also have whole ANTRHO/FURRY bodies.
So, either you accept it and yiff, or shut up and go back to Generations/IDW/G1 lines.
