Ready for your daily Transformers leak? Well coming again from 变形金刚改造工厂的淘宝店, who leaked the Titans Return cards and Skullitron, is the instruction sheet for Nautica. Of course she has the same transformation as Blurr, so let us know if you still found this fun to see. This does at least hint that these toys are coming quite soon if they are this far in the production cycle and already hitting China in some strange manner (since they are made in Vietnam now).

Do the bots in these boxsets come with collector cards? If not, I'm much disappointed. :(

Its the same as the CW boxsets, which means that instead of cards or comics, you get a poster of the group.

Also, I really really love this photo:

They are in different scales and differet styles but they still all work so well together. Its a love letter to the brand showing how everything can co exist and look awesome!

:(

And here I was trying to get enough cards to make my own card game to play. :-P

Posters are alright.

In the short term though, I have my eyes on Krok and Windblade whenever she comes out. Obviously Triggs, Slugs, and Missy, but those three can wait a bit.

In any case that is still just one card and not one per robot. Although I dont remember having a card for my G2 menasor

All my boxsets came with cards, but I had to only choose one g2 redeco and they didn't have bruticus :-(

A CCG with these cards could be sweet - would it play like Jyhad/Vampire? :MAXIMAL:

Hmm. Maybe it's based on country - I can't remember if I ordered mine from America or Canada. It was during that whole crazy period where she was down to around 40$ and just kept lowering by the minute. ... think we'll have that for any of these boxsets?
I wonder if they do have cards they'll characterise the included characters as some sort of team.

Also agree. Nautica is a warmer character, with soft features and a face that says "hey I'm your friend." I'd wish for a slightly better head too

At this point I think Hasbro is intent on making Blurr's gun in every colour of the rainbow ; The real joke is that the gun isn't even like his gun in shape anyway - so what were they basing it on I have to wonder.

At this point Blurr's gun is just the standard Autobot pistol sidearm in fact if a character comes with an additional weapon I give the "pistol" to characters like Bumblebee who don't come with weapons the silver ones that come with Blurr goes well with any character that can hold the weapon.

I was annoyed at first on how much the gun mold was used but now I adore them and I would totally buy a pack of 10 guns and make a weapons rack for all of them but really why has Hasbro never made a weapons accessory kit like say AOE Hound but without the figure?

No but seriously if anyone got sick of theirs I would totally buy them or just buy a bunch of discount Hasbro Blurr's and just resell them without the weapon.

Sometimes I really do wish HasTak would sell little accessory packs; a bag of guns or swords or even proper Combiner hands and feet would go a long way.

I'm assuming this kind of post is fine since this is the Titans Returns thread?

Anyways this is my collection of "Pistols" which I'm using as the standard Autobot firearm Nautica's purple gun will go great with them but I wish I could get more silver ones.

I also made a custom cannon made from one of TR Powermaster Prime's guns and the small pistol from RID Stormshot and they look fantastic together.

Image

Here are my three "Custom" bodies for Titanmasters just to give anyone inspiration on which body they should use.

Image

Sawback is just Sawback on Sentinel's body which looks great espically with my custom cannon

Image

Nightbeat the world's most terrified detective is Hasbro Blurr with Nightbeat's head and they have the same blue plastic so it works meanwhile Fangry is Windwipe with the bat head removed (You can pull it off it's not on pins or anything) and his limbs switched around to make him more distinct from Mindwipe

Bandai makes weapon packs for their Gundam kits. Never mixed the two, but they may be close enough if you add some tape or putty to hold them in place.

Some of those Generic guns might be useful in pairs which wouldn't be so much an issue if they were not fruit flavours.

I guess I didn't see that skid as useful as I assumed that blurr-pod wouldn't need any support as the 5mm post holds it - and other don't have any such support - and in many cases the height is going to be off the ground anyway.

So it seems that ski exist just to make the shield-gun self-standing then I suppose. (Not sure why that is needed though).

But with that idea in mind I looked at the other weapons and I got to thinking that may explain why Megatron has a little tricycle of pins on his gun too.

I guess I just didn't ever think of using them in that way especially as many of them can't sit flush on the ground anyway due to the 5mm handle.

To be honest a lot of them have been popped in a part bin an replaced with other things anyway. I'd like them better with some gap fillers or if Hasbro or someone else makes Powermaster like mini-figures that can lay down in the turrets to power them.

But as to Blurr's Gun type I tend to look upon them like Armada weapons as hybrids of guns and missiles.

I feel like minifigure chainsaws would be a little small though, wouldn't they? (Again, I haven't read IDW so I don't know for certain what size Pharma's chainsaws should be.) It might be a little far in the other direction, but these pieces might work a little better, even if they don't look quite as sharp and actually saw-y:

(There isn't really have a size reference in the image but it's probably about two or three inches long.)

Regardless, from what I can tell if definitely seems like the Triggerhappy mold is a great fit for Pharma, minus the giant guns of course. Those wings especially are totally spot-on!

Put two of those pistols on the Classics Seeker mold and you'd have some sweet-looking Null Rays for that mold (as those are very much modeled after the typical Seeker Null Ray design).

You are probably right. It was just the first idea that came to me. Perhaps shapeways will have something to suffice ;)

A full toyline for MTMTE/LL (and possibly TAAO and OP) would be to -die- for.
We've got a few perfect ones already - Magnus, Skids, Swerve - but man if I don't want 'em to go the full haul.

Some of the new IDW Decepticons would be welcome to me to use as Commanders of City states (like Straxus or Starscream were) I wouldn't really know what to do with specifically IDW characters that lack a easy way to re-use them - I suppose they might consider doing something along those lines if they bring back the pack-in comics so people know what the toys represent (when they are not obvious).

I would expand the idea out further though and ask the question what will they do with Generations in 2018 once Prime Wars 3.0 is gone - move over to another cartoon related line retiring RID & Generations in the process and put it on hiatus for that lines duration.

Or might they do what I suspect they might do and reboot 2006's line up and start all over again.

I don't mind if they throw the odd comic Character and the line but a whole line of comic related toys might not be in the current teams tastes - besides looking back Thrilling 30 was a pretty poor toyline overall. at least in terms of them being toys I want to revisit and play with - they seem to remain untouched by me at least.
Re: Instruction Sheet Leaked for Titans Return Nautica (1867703)

After Prime Wars 3.0 they could totally move back to just doing normal figures and/or have individual gimmicks attached to one or two of them rather than line-wide things; much like CHUG before CW.

Don't get me wrong, I've been loving the line-wide gimmicks so far and with the exception of a few obvious characters being excluded (Sunstreaker, Horrorcons, 1988 Small Headmasters...) I think they've been implemented almost perfectly.
But I do also kind of want to just get a figure without a line-wide gimmick having to be put into it. I'd love for the 2018 or 2019 line to just have an IDW Rodimus or a remake of TFP Knock Out with the gimmick being that they're toys of IDW Rodimus and TFP Knock Out.

Though also, if we keep going with line-wide gimmicks, I would be extremely open to Combiner Wars 2 in order to get the beast combiners.

Before prime wars is done I really would like to see the beast combiners done (predaking, abominus, piranacon and monstructor), the dinobots, the other deluxe insecticons, a leader thunderwing, and a leader Nova Prime. I know that's a lot to ask for but most of those have some remold potential between them which is fine with me as long as they go the Titans return remold route as opposed to the combiner wars one.

Whats the difference between Off road into First Aid and Triggerhappy into Slugslinger?

Perhaps that was a bad comparison on my part. I want more first aid into off-road than I want off-road into Ironhide

I hope they do the Beast Combiners too - I really adored Beast Hunters - I still play with them all the time as I do with the Decepticons in Titans Return so I'm fond of a nice Dinosaur, beast or Monster.

The general structure of the "Special Team" Combiners is ideally suited to Seacons, Terrorcons in particular. I also kinda like the idea of some of the more obscure Combiners getting a go - for example the ones they invented for the Kre-O line. Such as Lazorbolt, Volcanicon & Obsidian + Grimstone who I guess is a carry over from the PCC line and would count as an official Dinobot Combiner too.

I would find that interesting and a nice change of pace and might minimise the impression that everything has to be 80's all the time.

---

I agree the Deluxe Insecticon is desirable too - especially a new mould for Venom (or whatever they have to rename him).

I would hope that maybe Hasbro can slide anything obvious into some boxed sets of something that would suit the Titans Return them better like other Headmasters such as Fangry or The Horrorcon Triplechangers.

[Especially as Fangry is clearly able to be made out of Twinferno's body type]

I may need to split my reply here... more later.

I really dont think a line filled with IDW characters would be hard to do or impossible or even unwanted from any party. All Hasbro wants is to have toys that sell on the pegs. Most kids and parents have no clue who most characters in the TR line is (Krok? Gnaw? Topspin? Sky Shadow? Overlord?) so that the comic book characters arent as well known is pretty irrelevant. And we technically did have that before (in an inverse causality of course) with the gen line that included Amada Starscream, Scoop and the Armada minicons, along with Rattrap and Tankor, which were all spotlighting characters in the ongoing comics. Of course, it was the comics supporting the toys, but I dont see how it makes a difference at this point which way the causality points to sicne it all just ends up being TF toys to sell on a peg. Voyager Brainstorm is perfect proof that they are totally cool with giving us designs straight from the comics.

So that being said, which characters would make sense to have on the pegs? Tarn, Rodimus (Prime), Red Alert, Pharma, Star Sabre, Thunderclash but who else? Maybe a voyager Blaster. Cant think of too many other lost lighters we havent gotten yet. I could also totally see a comic themed Impactor coming out at retail (especially since Impactor has always been a comic character).

Personally speaking I'd rather we get the old guard sorted out (hint hint Horrorcons, Seacons, Omnibots etc.) before leaping all over the johnny-come-lately folks. But either way probably one of the bigger bars to something like that happening is that trademarking names for comics is (comparatively) easier than for toys. I can't imagine things like "Rung" and "Pharma" easily making the cut

Just call em something else. Like I wrote, they are so niche that most people dont know em anyway. And the ones that do will know its just a name change for trademark sake, so it all evens out.

Of course, there are at least a couple people who won't buy a toy if it doesn't have the original name...none here, off the top of my head. Just in general. :P

Also, can't see us getting a Rung any time soon. I mean, we don't even know what he turns into! :-P

Well, there's a lot of characters who while they do technically have toys, don't look a lot like their comic selves. Cyclonus, Nightbeat, Ironhide, Drift, Chromedome (if anyone even brings up that he technically looked like that in a single flashback story)...

And that's before we even get to comic-original characters. Rung, Ten, Velocity, Roller, the Mistress of Flame, Terminus, Anode, Aileron...

There's a lot. I also certainly wouldn't mind seeing a Voyager Cosmos and I can't imagine a lot of people being opposed to Voyager Thundercracker - Voyager seekers are something a lot of people in the general fandom have been wanting for a long time, and the IDW design for Thundercracker isn't too far off the original seeker design (much in the same way Classics Optimus isn't a radical departure from the G1 design but people still love it) that non-IDW fans would easily eat it up.

For IDW characters they could do the whole DJD including nickel, roller, Fort Max, rung, pharma, a new drift, blackwall, rack'n'ruin would be cool, zeta prime, Nova Prime, impactor, rodimus, a better tailgate, a true IDW cyclonus, red alert, Ironhide, ratchet, a voyager version of the legends Optimus from a few years ago and a better jhiaxus just to name a few.

I'd rather have Ultra "Seekers" if they want to make that size again.

I suppose the idea of a Red Alert that isn't a Sideswipe redeco is an interesting one... but part of me would rather have a Combiner Wars style Sideswipe & Red Alert.

Impactor is worth doing in the same Way Straxus was.

But not to forget I expect they will wanna throw some Pretenders at us eventually too.

Yes they are if the size you are thinking of is Universe Onslaught I suppose. But there is still room to put a size category between current Voyager and Current Leader size. Besides you could also make an argument that what was previously Leader size if it existed now could be called 'Super' size there might be some Character that would merit from being that size too but it's likely not worth considering if Hasbro went and charger $70.00 for that sort of size.

About the size of Fansproject Madlaw or Valor would suit me for 'seekers' - though I'm not going to complain to much about Voyager - I would just anticipating that if they did make them they would go and put a fair bit of mass in the wings and so they'd end up kinda short.

The leader ones would be fine if I didn't have a problem with the simplified Transformations compared to Jetfire and some quirks of the mould I just don't like (such as the gappy wings).

But Voyager wouldn't be to bad they'd go OK with Titans Return Galvatron and CW Cyclonus and Voyager is going to be some sort of improvement over the Classics Mould I guess.

The Leaders work fine in the context of the other leaders as a kinda mini-line of their own but for me at least not so great with everyone else. Jetfire at least had plenty of excuse to be very tall.

I suppose the slight downside of Voyager seekers is we'd get a tone of them for years to come. and they might take some assortment slots from other things - and that was already enough of a problem with the leaders - and even so I think there still might be some people who wouldn't have minded a Leader Sunstorm or Acid Storm.

The third one's a trick question anyway! Krypton was destroyed years ago. It doesn't have any of those qualities anymore. :P

Normally I'd say I would love a set of voyager seekers...but I'm afraid it'll be Classics seekers all over again.

But as for TR itself, I feel like we have enough jets already, we don't need the seeker team. Wait for after PotP or something. Still, if we got them, maybe they'd have the coneheads as the optional head-bulk thing... :-?

I understand that there is a Voyager-ish gap in size but honestly between Legends, Classics, Robotmasters, Combiner Wars and Masterpiece there are already way more than enough G1-styled versions of the core three Seekers. I'd be happy if we never got another Seeker toy again.

The problem is we've never really gotten a GOOD G1 style Seeker.

The Classics mold was OK for the time but is incredibly dated and the later releases suffer from mold degradation. The MP is also incredibly dated and possibly suffers even worse mold degradation. The Leader just doesn't work as the Seekers, being too big for a CHUG display, not good enough for an MP display and overall not looking that much like them. The Robotmasters mold looks cool but is not really that good a toy. The Legends release is cool and all but it's also very small.

Really, we need a new Seeker mold. Ideally a small Voyager, though large Deluxe would work too.

The problem is we've never gotten a good Idw Seeker.

The G1 guys have the classics mold that while old is available and still decent. They also have the two MP molds that most people say are great. They have several different ones that if they aren't happy with they never will be.
The Idw guys have a legends scale figure and that's it. (The leader resembles G1 as much as it does idw)
Our only option is an expensive 3rd party figure that falls apart if you transform it.

Pfft, we don't need every single version of a character that's ever appeared. We're not the Star Wars fandom.

But we also don't need 10 versions of a G1 design.
It's been ten years and still no idw design.

The Legends class and the Leader Class are BOTH IDW seekers you realise ?
---

I'd rather have an F-15 but I can deal with it if it's an F-22 what I want from a 'seeker' is :

1) Wing Logos the RIGHT WAY UP (scr** you cartoon animators)
2) a degree of ankle and wing movement in robot mode - to avoid some of the posing issues some of them have.
3) Proper landing gear and a smoother underside on the jet would be nice too.

I'd like something akin to HFTD Terradive only if that was applied to a Voyager and different jet mode.

Things I'd appreciate but that are not essential would be chest cluster bomb launchers and optional short missiles (like the G1 toy) or optional Missiles that sit out to the outer part of the wings or hug the body - or if it's an F-22 a missile carousel.

Also if it is an F-22 I want the wings to articulate and widen (a bit like Beast Hunters Dreadwing as the F-22 jet wings could look a bit wimpy and sit a bit low in robot mode.

I kind of want to see them make the -ations design for the Seeker just to see how many people would complain about the wings being down.

Honestly I wouldn't have minded if the UW Ghost Starscream figure had been released in "regular" Seeker colours. Obviously I'd prefer it with proper wings (though there's a Shapeways upgrade for that!) but I still think it would make a handsome modernized Seeker design, even without the cockpit-chest. Obviously I'd prefer a proper original Seeker mold, but if we don't get one for PotP or we get one but it sucks, I'm planning on getting some spare Skydives and converting them into my Seekers.

That's debatable. The only similarly is in the chest.

There are more similarities than that.

Sorry, I was referring to the f22 raptor design. Which isn't the most popular, but I love it.
