I think you are being really silly. They are just hugging.
But there are some rather...odd poses... as one scrolls through.
I kinda wish I knew what they were saying to see if its just my mind being dirty or not.
But then again it's not as bad as *shudder* kiss players.

I just love combiners with a uniform color scheme. Devastator, Victorion, and Computron are the champions. Bruticus and Defensor are not perfect, but the members don't clash too much with each others. But Megatronia, Liokaiser, Optimus Maximus, Galvatronus, and the likes, I really don't apreciate.
Still, if one like the colors and don't own the Victorion original, Megatronia WILL be a solid purchase.

Megatronia and her team will be having a meeting with Decepticon HR after this I am sure. Though it is kinda cool that according to the comic that the matrix is the oracle in Japan.

It has been speculated by some that certain parts are softer and more flexible on Transformers (hush your filthy mind).

I would agree with that theory. Their lips could not move when they speak if they were rigid. Otherwise they would just have a panel that goes up and down. That and they would not be able to touch one another easily. One bot would try to help another bot up or give them a high five and BAM! Everyone has dents. Cars do have parts that are rubber, leather and silicone so I would assume that those parts could make up joints and other parts that are made not to be fully armored.
Well gee, I am sorry that I can't read Japanese and the site is hard to navigate. No need to be snippy.

See, this is why we don't apply real life physics in the stories of a toy line.

On the main subject, cultural peculiarities aside , it's good that Takara isn't taking itself too seriously with this latest release. A bit of from time to time to lighten up the mood.
As for the Megatronia mold, I hope she hasn't inherited those mis-assembled knees I keep hearing reading about.

The colors reminds me a lot of the all-female Hana no Kunoichi Gumi (a.k.a. the Hanarangers) from Kakuranger, in that they all share the common secondary colors of black and silver, along with a brighter primary color for each of them.Bounti76 wrote:Megatronia is like...G2 Victorion. There's a difference. Compare her to, say, Strika from "Beast Machines." Both are supposed to be powerful female warriors who lead a group of "bad guys" against the heroes...while Strika is a commanding presence who balances physical power with tactical skills and natural charisma to present an actual threat, Megaempress is a manipulative vamp whose sole motivation seems to be getting it on with Megatron/Galvatron. One is a villain, the other is a caricature bordering on parody.
...which isn't to say there isn't value in that, since the Megatronia story was told in SUCH an over-the-top fashion that it suggests the team ARE intended as parodies. On one hand, it's kind of a shame that the first all-female team, much less all-female Decepticon team, in Takara canon is such a blatant joke; on the other, it's not like the Torchbearers have ever shown much of any sort of characterization, positive or negative, since they were introduced. I mean, Pyra Magna now has some kind of vague grudge against Optimus, that's more or less been it since the team was introduced. Ultimately, which is better: a team of embarrassing Thunderblast-from-"Cybertron/Galaxy Force" wanna-bes or a team of cardboard standees who spend most of their time as body parts for a Deus Ex Machina?
Either way, I just want the toys. Maybe paint up a black-and-neon counterpart to Rust Dust to serve as Megatronia's bra...call her "Cyclejoker" or something to go with the card theme.

There are specialised card decks that introduce "Stars" as a fifth suit, so you could use that. As Mega Empress has no suit of her own, she could be considered a Trump, or Joker.

Megatronia is more the JP archtype femme fatale like Doronjo of Yatterman fame. Or in the DOA series, Nyotengu or Echidna from Queen's blade. She's speaking which such a haughty overbearing naughty manipulative mistress type with a onessama accent. Maybe a more bad gal type Jessica Rabbit if her voice actress were localized.
The way they were presented may have a tinge of silliness but in anime, them bad gal types are more or less the staple with a more serious back story. At least not the psycho types (or maybe a psycho type like in Haruhi Suzumiya) masquerading as a girl next door type who turns out to be a malfunctioning observation type automaton.

The biggest difference between the two is that Megatronia's components each have black paired with another bold color. On the other hand Victorion has a unified color scheme. Some may find Megatronia's colors more exiting, while others prefer the matching look.
Megatronia has a lot of silver paint which collectors can truly appreciate. The shape of this mold makes her mirror Megatron as his more feminine counterpart quite nicely. The details of this figure look excellent in their metallic finish.
Each of the members of Megatronia's team has a different pattern than the Rust Renegades. The dark black makes the neon colors pop. This helps differentiate them so that they look more refreshing to those who might wish to own both.
I would like to take a moment to point out that it appears that the issue of Pyra Magna's miss-assembled knee joints possibly been corrected for Megatronia.
Feel free to discuss your favorite color scheme in the comments!
