G1 colored MP Starscream to be released by Hasbro?

Why did they take off the tailfins?

If it is by Hasbro they sure went overboard with the "battle damaged" look.

if thats a real release ill have one! ive already got mp starscream but oh yes ill have one of those!

Looks like a fan-piece to me. That paint app is way to nice for anything that Hasbro would do themselves. I never thought Hasbro would produce one but I hope I'm wrong.

I like the look as a whole but I don't like the upside down insignia in robot mode.

Thats awesome. Why didn't they paint it that color to start with cause real jets and not even that dark color. So who wants my Dark Grey Starscream.

The more I think about it, the more I doubt this is official. I mean, unless I missed something, Skywarp was meant to be the next MP, and I can't see them announcing another before he's even been released. It's also pretty unlikely it's a Hasbro release... I guess time will tell though.

I must admit, he looks kinda funky in his anime colours.
Then again, I didn't think there was really anything wrong with the first MP SS...

I do see what you mean Sunstar, it kinda reminds me of playdoh red. Maybe it is a Hasbro reissue? It definetly looks to me like it's made of plastic.

I think this is going to be MP-08. With Skywarp already confirmed as MP-06, I don't think Takara is going to release two seekers in a row.

I still doubt this is a Hasbro release. Not because of the paint scheme or anything but because of the overall fragility of MPSS. To get past the toy laws they would have to toughen it up a fair bit.

On the other hand I don't think it is a custom either. Most of the custom I have seen look much rougher. Lots of thick globbed on paint to cover the darker color. This one doesn't have that. Unless they managed to do a really good dye job.

He's missing the fingers on his right hand. Anyone else notice that? Wasn't that a problem with the MP-3 to begin with?

So, if this is legitimate, and we get an accurate Starscream (love the original by the way....), with Skywarp coming out, does that mean that original MP SS becomes Thundercracker and we have a full compliment of MP Seekers?

Hmm, the jet mode is the better of the two. Looks a bit too much like a toy in bot mode now.

If it is real, I wonder if it'll have the lower body remolded to put the tails fins back on the legs?

I know i'll probably get yelled at for saying this, but I actually like takara's color version better. While this is G1 accurate, I think the first color scheme makes him more stealthy and deadly looking.

I don't like it. I like the 1st edition more.

I do remember Aaron saying that there was a possibility of Hasbro doing an MP Starscream. I figured that if they did, it'd be done in G1 colors, but I was kinda hoping that they would still have stuck with the original/1st mold that we saw. Now all we need is some official confirmation, then I'll be happy.

Hasbro has no eason to make this. They have the novie line and the heros line will be out after it. If they arent continueing the Alt line why would they make this? Im very doubtfull that hasbro would make more MP figures for the states.

Needs the tail fins and the "battle damage" paint looks like crap.

I love MP-03, but I still want this if it's true. If it is, I really hope it's Hasbro, so it'll be cheaper.

Very Few people remember that along with Starscream's fancy EM Pulse laser known as the "Null Ray", Starscream was also able to Duplicate himself for a short period of time with clones, of which look very much like the MP-03 Starscream we all currently own..

I hope to god that Hasbro doesn't do this as a release, and Takara does.. The Hasbro packaging with all those damn Twistie Ties is freaking horrible!!! I say release MP Skywarp and then MP Anime Accurate Starscream Complete.. which includes coronation garb and shoulder pads with removable cape!!!

I will say this though, If Hasbro does do this as a Release, and they do toughen it up some, then I'm okay with that, I just hope they give it some hardcore Cardboard box, and not that flimsy easily dent-able shit!!!

Hasbro also has a tendency to add battle damage and crap like that, and their paint applications and colored plastic molds use the cheapest colors they can find..

Even if it is a custom job, it looks amazing.

I do think it does look a little too nice to be a Hasbro release... but then original release 20th Prime was nice in my opinion.

I don't like the black connectors for the folding pieces...

But otherwise, I think it looks great! Here's hoping!

I cautiously retract my doubts. Apparrently this is indeed being released by Hasbro, and is coming out in September!
