Rumble has always been Red in Japanese continuities. Prime AM Rumble is the red robot, as well. It's mainly just America that couldn't make up its mind about who was which. And if it really bothers you, you can call them whatever you want. You could even call them Bob and Steve if you so desired. Nothing stopping you from calling the blue one Rumble and the red one Frenzy.

Very true.
Hell, 3rd party companies actually give as different of a name as possible to their not-(insert character name) figures, but that never stopped anyone from buying them. As long as the name's not molded on the figure itself, you can name them anything you want.

FIRRIB on TFwiki. In the old days, only the US cartoon had the colors switched, the rest, including the original toys had Rumble in red, and Frenzy in blue. Take that how you want.

Crisdecal wrote:Can anyone translate the Fort Max part to see if he's coming with his Master Sword or not? Cerebros has his, so why not Fort Max?
Just did a quick read-through. It mentions a little about the history, what cartoon he appeared in etc. and the impact he had as the flagship transformers toy. It doesn't specifically mention his sword, only that it would be the original Fortress Maximus version.
So I guess if they haven't shown his other sword, it probably won't be included.

I want to make this clear - Takara Tomy is reissuing the original Takara version, not the Hasbro version). Meaning that those who collect this line know that it comes with everything that the original had, and may sport some improvements. The only ones that only had new pieces were Soundblaster and Twincast.
In other words - If the original Takara version had the Master Sword, this one will have the Master Sword. That, and the character you mentioned is Fortress... As Cerebros was his Headmaster.

And to date, they are showing the item to include both Master Swords. So unless e-HOBBY had a fall-out with Takara Tomy, everything they show is what will be added. And with that said, if you are new to the Encore line... It is best to check out how they are handling the line long before becoming paranoid over something that is not shown in a pre-final product photo.

Manterex, how about this?
The Transformers (comic series) debuted on May 8, 1984. The Transformers (cartoon series) debuted on September 17, 1984. The comic series has Rumble being red and Frenzy being blue some months before the animated series says differently.
With that said, are you saying that despite Marvel being the company hired to create The Transformers for Hasbro, we should also imply they are wrong as well? Or should we just admit that those who are only used to the English adaption of the animated series are used to Rumble being blue... Just because the people who did the scripting obviously thought kids would be confused by the image of Frenzy doing all the rumbling?
Hmmm... I wonder.

I'm not being paranoid, I was voicing a concern. You have no idea at all who I am, lol! None of the official photos had shown the Master Sword so far for the Encore release. The b sheet you're sharing here, I have never seen before and should have been common knowledge long before now. Especially with so many of us asking about it. Oh and I meant Cerebros not Fortress. By all means share info. Do not condescend to me though.

Flux, I know paranoia. Paranoia is not knowing if you will get the item you want, to the point you need to get an answer that is already there. As in the way I was during the first week of 2012 on account that my bank claimed my "2010" Predaking order was declined and the store sold out shortly after I ordered mine.
Flux Convoy wrote:None of the official photos had shown the Master Sword so far for the Encore release.
Not true. They had shown it with the announcement photo. Plus, they have made it clear that all Encore pieces will be based on the original - Just some have slight alterations that may be seen as improvements over the original.
Flux Convoy wrote:The b sheet you're sharing here, I have never seen before and should have been common knowledge long before now. Especially with so many of us asking about it.
Again, not true. 01-06, 08, 10-19, 21-22 all have the original content and had some kind of improvement over the original. However, 07 and 09 were debut pieces, and the Asian market version of 20 had some QC issues. This is something those outside their marketplace can tell you.
And when it comes to direct information, those who can buy these from the direct market were given the information the moment it was put out. However, we are in Hasbro territory and therefor cannot receive this information.
Flux Convoy wrote:Oh and I meant Cerebros not Fortress. By all means share info. Do not condescend to me though.
Flux, in all respect... I am not being you. So how about you stop being so condescending yourself and realize that I know what paranoia sounds like. And that not everybody here uses the original Takara names... As they stick with what is said in the cartoon series, and/or the toyline. Plus, I am not the one disregarding any previous photos, the Encore line, and everything else that you could look up.
So yeah... If you want to hear a voice of reasoning, please show some regard and don't be this way to those who are trying to help you out in some rational way.

I agree that the name calling and accusations need to stop. If he simply asked instead of making the accusations that have him only regard his feelings, he would have found the truth to be completely different than what he claimed.
As for the whole "Encore 23" photo bit... I 100% disagree on any thought it should raise any concerns. Because from the first piece to now, these were either based on the originals... Or improved upon so they can look more like their series counterparts. Soundblaster and Twincast are the only ones different on account they are series accurate and their original tapes were already reissued.
So my point is that to make this even a small concern means that all history tied to this must be ignored. And ignoring that at this point is like ignoring how much Sabrblade likes Rescue Bots. Should never be done for the sake of Hugh Manatee.

Some local stores here have preorders on Fort Max with the note "Master Sword not pictured, but included". I really feel like pre-ordering from them and being a huge dick when the item arrives and there's no sword inside.

Man... I remember the stories tied to their QC issues when it comes to this line. So I am hoping that not only you get the Master Sword, but you also get Cerebros instead of one of the missing Mix Master heads.
Besides, I can picture myself saying "Is it in the box?!" once I get mine in the mail.

While those colors make Onslaught himself game-accurate, Bruticus had a gray chest in the game. Onslaught would change from blue to gray during his combination transformation.
With the way the Onslaught toy works, the only way for them to make him game-accurately colored for both the combined and non-combined forms would be for Onslaught to be able to magically change from blue to gray between forms, but that's just a fantasy.

It's still better than the retail version Hasbro put out.

So, in a bid for overall game-accuracy, who would win:
1) SDCC Bruticus
2) TakaraTomy Bruticus
3) SDCC Bruticus with Gen. Onslaught torso
4) TakaraTomy Bruticus with Gen. Onslaught torso
For that matter, what about G1-accuracy disregarding Vortex (well, maybe not his red)?
