I dread about how the Bay movies are going to handle her.

That Decepticon also looks intriguing, I guess it's a puma inspired one? Hard to tell, just going by the colors, tail, and jumping strength (plus referring to him as "kitty".

Why do they need to be connected?

Word is a Legion class toy is in the works.
I did see five Deluxe Windblades on display at my local TRU. I wonder if word of this announcement went out to them?

- It showed us a clip of Windblade from RID
- It told us Kristy Wu is voicing her
- It revealed the name and gender of the Fan-Built Combiner
- It revealed the existence of a new comic called "Combiner Hunters"
- It gave us a clip of this Saturday's Rescue Bots episode featuring Blurr and Salvage
- And it revealed a female Rescue Bot to come in season 4!
As for Windblade herself, her design and deco are so similar to her Takara Transformers: Legends toy that I wonder if Hasbro would even bother making a new mold for her as a Warrior.

Yup she is involved with the show.

Actually we already knew about that one, as we pointed out in the other thread.
I'm so hype about Windblade appearing in the show. Is this a season 2 episode or have those who watched the full run just kept their lips sealed about her appearing in season 1?

Probably will re release the figure in new packaging sine it seems that the Generations Windblade is hard to come by.
Then again any generations Transformer is hard to come by here in Canada.

She has not appeared in any of the 14 episodes that have aired outside the U.S. Season 1 should have 26 episodes, so who knows if she'll show up this in season or the next. That Bot wrote:Sabrblade wrote:

Though, it is peculiar that USA Today would make this article at this current time for an episode that won't air in the U.S. until several months from now. Cartoon Network has only aired the first 5 episodes so far.

That's pretty neat.

Well, there are 12 more episodes to go before the end of this season, so it's entirely possible she'll show up this season. Besides, if there's a clip ready, it's possible the episode is in the final touch-up phase.

It's not going to be a redeco of Starscream.

I heard there was a listing for either a Legion (legends) or a one step figure of Windblade.

Will be funny if there is a Legends class release of Windblade as I have the Iron Factory 3P figure in my PoL...
I might actually start watching this show if it ends up on iTunes soon (don't have cable)

Normally I'm not one to recommend another TF fan website but in this case I think its all right.
Tfw2005 has a thread with all the Rid episodes ready to download via Mega or links to Dailymotion (But why would you use that laggy site?)

I've already been covering episode viewing links in the RID cartoon thread, so there's no need to point to TFW. And if you embed DM videos off of DM's website, they play just fine.mirageandjazz1197 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:The first 14 episodes have already reached the Internet, having aired in both Australia and Singapore ahead of the U.S.prjkt wrote:I might actually start watching this show if it ends up on iTunes soon (don't have cable)

Ok my apologies about that Sabe I did not know that.
I personally don't know how to navigate this website so I was not aware.

Well I know about that first part but I'm a very confused simple minded type of person (For example I accept and love every part of Transformers except Kiss Players of course and the recent SG Stepper figure)

There have been a lot of discussions on why Cybertronians, an apparently mechanical race, have differing genders; I don't think anyone's really agreed on the why (or if it really matters for a mechanical race).
The fact that Windblade and the upcoming combiner characters are fan-requested characters does indicate that fans want to see more female Transformer characters (which are, admittedly rather lacking in the franchise).

I think, and I could be wrong, that he's responding to the poster above him. Like, "what's the point of lipstick? well what's the point of genders at all? Just go with it."
I may be reading too much into it, though.

I appreciate that Windblade is getting attention, and I like her character design, but I feel like the designs for the Decepticons are the real stars of this show. They don't get nearly enough screentime or personality yet, but the designs are tremendous and show a really new approach to Transformers aesthetics.

I'm excited to see Windblade, but I do agree with you on the Decepticon designs. Deviating from the standard humanoid style robot mode really does make them stand out more.

I agree, but it does give them a bit of a Power Rangers monster feel. Seems like the plot of the villains has been taken from Time Force, with the crashed ship, a charismatic leader uniting fugitives, and a character who's "from" earth (Bumblebee/Wesley[?]) uniting a group of characters that have never been (rest of the cast) to be honest. Add the animal themed villains from Jungle Fury and this show is a perfect replica.

Some of them (like Steeljaw and Thunderhoof) are still humanoid, but yeah, I'm digging the beastly aesthetic.
Windblade does look cool too, though.
