This and that are two separate things. The GoBots in that TCC story (well, five of them) are in the toy bodies of the old 2004 e-HOBBY G1 GoBots set, and that story is just continuing an ongoing tale of theirs that started (and went on hiatus) way back in 2008.ScottyP wrote:Any off chance this is more Mini-bot Go-Bots? Or is the last page after that final TFCC story one last middle finger from Gobotron?
Not sure what you mean by "middle finger", though. The GoBots are trying to save Gobotron and the Classics Autobots are willing to help them.
But whatever this second TF project by e-HOBBY is, I'm betting it's another Beast Wars anniversary thing.

Cloud consisted mostly of molds initially skipped by TakaraTomy:
- GDO Megatron
- GDO Brawn
- Generations Doubledealer
- Generations Roadbuster (released in retail sightly later)
- Generations Whirl (released in retail slightly later)
Think we could expect the same?
Posted by RAR on November 25th, 2016 @ 6:01am CST
1) Mega Alligator (with a different head)
2) Fire Guts Super Ginrai (though they might want to wait for Takara to make the full trailer so they can do Fire Guts God Ginrai)
3) Twincast
4) Soundblaster
I'm not that bothered about a Brown-Wave
---
Unfortunately the sort of things that would excite me wouldn't interest them that would be things like.
5) Galaxy Force Fang Wolf [Cybertron Snarl] (from Weird Wolf)
5a) or Dark Fang Wolf.
It might be to early to see something like :
6) Fly Wheels from (Megatron/Blitwing)
7) There is always a chance they could do some modern version of the e-hobby Insecticon clones again with the new moulds.
I expect eventually someone is going to do Optimus/Octane as Scourge/Black Convoy it's just a matter of time and who gets to it first.
9) I'd not mind to much a painted camo Green or purple Voyager Megatron either. The cool thing about a purple one is you can then use it as Archforce too.

It will be available for preorder from E-Hobby for ¥7,000, which is around $60-65 USD. E-Hobby will be the only place to get it at this price since it is an exclusive. It will be available from other online retailers at the usual markup.

It's Classics Prime; he's freakin' awesome! He's the last thing you need to justify.
Though talking of freakin' awesome, while I don't get it, I DO love that he comes with that sword. It looks so great.
Mindwipe weapon though, ehhh... okay then...

He knows that. He is talking about the old Magna Convoy who was made from Armada Prime.

"Magna Convoy" was the name of Armada Optimus when he was combined with Overload.Deadput wrote:Nexus Knight wrote:william-james88 wrote:blue redeco of the Armada Optimus Prime cab

This toy's deco is a clear homage to Diaclone Powered Convoy's truck cab robot mode.

I know the name was the combined form that's why I said "made from"
The deco was an obvious homage to diaclone too.

Huh I guess Takara knew we wouldn't buy Magna without a good reason to.
Then again I don't even use Mindwipe's tail in bat mode since it doesn't stay in due to it being loose.
Posted by Jelze Bunnycat on December 2nd, 2016 @ 3:04pm CST
1) "Magna Convoy" is simply the combined name of "Convoy" and "Ultra Magnus". In this case, it fits, as it's an homage to the cab of Diaclone Powered Convoy, which was homaged earlier with "Ultra Magnus Movie Preview version" (missing the wheels in the chest plate and Powered Buggy). If Convobat is any indication, he's yet another clone of our beloved Prime.
2) The name was used before during Micron Legends, as the combined form of Convoy (Optimus Prime) and Ultra Magnus (Overload). The name itself appeared on the box of the Magna Convoy DX set, which included the "Final Battle" redeco (our Powerlinx redeco with a few changes), a translucent Ultra Magnus, and an X-Dimensions redeco of Bumble (Perceptor). The deco on Convoy wasn't really an homage to Powered Convoy btw.
With that out of the way...
Uhm... I was certain the original KO in blue would be the only way to get it, now eHobby does this? Just what state is the mold in anyway after the Platinum Edition?
And good call Sabrblade, on noticing the Mindwipe shield being meant for Convobat. I never noticed that particular accessory was missing from that release! How does the sword play in though?

Job title: Musketeers
When the universe was once a dark era, there was a blue corps to protect peace. They took evil with the blue sword, and the universe regained light again. But during the fight, the leader was killed by a betrayal of one of his friends, the blue sword "Matrix Sword" proof of the leader was robbed and the corps was destroyed. However, its blue will has not disappeared. Through tens of thousands of hours the will and power were entrusted to a new warrior. His name is "Magna Convoy". Originally a robot without intention created as a combat support robot, it is a new blue warrior who got a life with the last power of the leader although it was destroyed in the past battle and abandoned. The figure which wrapped herself with the blue metal nightium remained somewhere of the leader's side. His purpose is to recapture the deprived Matrix Sword and revenge on the traitor "Straxus".
So yeah, they're basically doing the Three Musketeers more or less. Corps being an army, not a dead body. So basically a corps of blue warriors was destroyed after their leader was killed by former friend Straxus and the leader's Matrix Sword was stolen. The will of this group was inherited by a low ranking soldier named Magna Convoy (this story's d'Artagnan I suppose) and now he's after Straxus to reclaim the Matrix Sword. I'm sure he'll team up with some remnants of the Musketeers along the way. I guess that makes Straxus Rochefort, so who gets to be the Cardinal?
BTW, eHobby is already saying this figure is sold out.

So he's basically the Diaclone mech turned into a Green Lantern.Function: Musketeer
Once, when the universe was in an epoch of darkness, the Blue Corps defended the peace. With their blue swords banishing evil, the universe regained its light. However, in the middle of battle, one of them betrayed and killed their leader; the leader-marking blue sword, the Matrix Sword, was stolen and the Corps fell to ruin. But the Blue Will never disappeared. After some tens of thousands of hours, that will and power were entrusted to a new warrior. His name is Magna Convoy. Originally a combat support robot manufactured as a robot with no will of its own, he was abandoned after suffering heavy damage in a past battle, but the leader used the last remnants of his power to give life to a new blue warrior. The blue Knightium metal that covers Magna Convoy's body carries the vestiges of the leader. Magna Convoy's goal is to recover the stolen Matrix Sword and exact revenge on the traitor Straxus.

Most recent version of that mold I own, is the Prime Evolution 2-pack version that came packaged with Age Of Extinction Evasion Mode Prime, and the only issues i have with it, is the looseness on his shoulders and the hinge on his back where the windvane plugs in. Both of which are still super tight on my original Ultra Magnus.
Don't know if that last use for Platinum with Megs had any other issues.
But, I'm guessing that mold still has some life in him. Maybe in a future Year of the X release no?

Because clear plastic makes him all shiny in the right light! That particular trend originated with Micron Legends Crystal Convoy, which represents his disembodied spark, but the very first was the exclusive God Fire Convoy set, which features clear versions of Fire Convoy and God Magnus, plus the God Sword.
Clear Henkei Convoy was exclusive to Tokyo Toy Fair 2008, but later sold though eHobby.
