Rid is doing a great job with these cons, Bisk looks great. Ratchet looks really cool too but the prime one is already really good so I'm not sure if he is a buy yet. I'm really enjoying that everybody gets to play with everybody display.

well...i'll hold off on him til i see if Takara can sort out more paint apps & a light bar!

speaking of Ratchet....i wonder if he's gonna appear on the show :-? since we're getting this toy of him! it would be cool if he did....& still voiced by Jeffrey Combs :-D because i needed that ;)^

i'm loving the look of that Warrior Bisk, i may pick him up ;)

That doesn't bother me. The wind screen look does look cool. But I guess those scannable stickers are to blaim for that.

I suppose he gets a role like Jazz. He will join the Autobots for a few episodes and Fixit will be his little fan-boy like Sideswipe was for Jazz.

Warrior Bisk is incredibly cool. The TR line is getting my main autobot attention, and this line is getting my main con attention. they look so cool! Scorponok, Bisk, Thunderhoof, Quillfire, Crazybolt, they are all on the list to get. And with the way things are going, not to mention the hint at an "old friend" returning in the season 2 finale, I'm pretty certain Ratchet is coming back :MAXIMAL:

I didnt think of the scannable stickers. Though that cant be all of it since on smaller figures, it ends up in other places than the chest. Also, fewer have this type a chest than one may think. Case in point, here are a slew of decepticons that dont:

Image

Image

Image

But for those that do, what I thought about the design was that the windshield chests gave the designs a sense of continuity to the Transformers brand as it goes in such a different direction with these beastly robot modes. The designs are out there (werewolves, giant lobsters ect) but that chest gives them the remnant of the fact that they are Cybertronian in origin, that they are Transformers. It grounds the design. I especially love it when it turns out to be a real chest rather than a fake piece. Hence why I love that Steeljaw mold.

Also, isnt it fun how the fact that fewer people care about these toys actually makes these botcon events more fun because no one spoils their reveal in advance?

I dont know. None of my local stores have even gotten that third wave of minicons yet, the one that comes before the weapons.

I think we will get the individually packed weapon minicons in the summer at the earliest

I'm still trying to find out if the RID Legion Class is officially dead now ?

They have in the past removed it only to reintroduce it as part of a Movie line - so if they are doing that I'd understand.

But there still is lots of Decepticons (in particular) I'd have liked to see in that scale.

RAR: there ares till some legion class coming out. Bisk and Groundpounder are supposed to be getting legion toys here soon.

And I agree about the minicons. I have only seen wave 1 and 2 and that first 4-pack. I really want to see wave 4 so I can get the individual Jetstorm and Ransack so (except for Airazor) I have the main 3 minicon teams (and I use Overloads team very loosely as main) :MAXIMAL:

Two European websites are giving us some new photos of upcoming Robots in Disguise toys. Unlike the recent trend of Hasbro official images being 3-d renders, these are images of the actual toys. Czech site Pompo.cz, shows us the Alpine Deco Sideswipe with Windstrike Mini-Con Weaponizer Battle Pack. Sideswipe has clear snap-on armor which can be attached to Windstrike, turning it into a big sword. A picture of Battlepack Strongarm was also found on that site. There are also new images of the weapon minicons Lord Doomitron and Slipstream from UK distributor Wind Designs.

Enjoy!

well, I worked it out tonight. I am going to go on a minicon binge when the new ones start coming out. I decided that I am going to get pairs. i already have Slipstream. Divebomb, Backtrack and Back, so I am going to get Jetstorm, Airazor, Ransack and Forth to go with them to complete the pairs. I will also get the Swelter/Glacius pair and the Hammer/Anvil pair. I will get Hammer with Crazybolt, so I will need to find Anvil somehow hopefully separate from Sideswipe, and for the life of me I cannot find Airazor separate from Fracture. I don't want those larger figures, just the minicons. BAH!! :MAXIMAL:

Or if you're feeling a little less importy and wanna pay a bit more for the convenience of adding him to an existing PoL.

But honestly, you can probably just wait for a discount on the deployers and save the hassle, but Taks do look nicer (especially Jetstorm).

The funny thing is, I'm contemplating getting 2 of him: 1 for the Prime/RiD shelf, and another for the Lost Light, as he can make a passable MTMTE Ratchet

I'll sell you my deployer Fracture (less Airazor) for the cost of shipping ;)

I have the Tak Jetstorm on preorder from BBTS. I figured I'd be lucky to find the Drift deployer on discount for under $10 and the "deco" on that Jetstorm leaves a little to be desired. Toss him on my PoL and I won't get charged any extra for shipping.

So does everyone else, it wont happen. People have bought the deployer set just for the minicon so selling it solo on e-bay would be practically the same price as the whole thing, or at least over 10$.

Well, true that.

And I may have to buy the deployer. too bad I can't find him for cheap. On another note, considering I have the clash warrior Sideswipe, I can pass buying the con hunter Swipe pack for a better mold and actual show coloring and get the minicon too. I need anvil to go with Hammer (who will come with Crazybolt). I need the pairings of minicons. They are too funny :MAXIMAL:

Power Surge Optimus Prime is a new mold, in the size of a Leader Class figure, which transforms in 7 steps

And did you see the alt mode?

If you want him, great, but I did want to precise info that not everyone may derive from these awesome looking images. This toy is very much the equivalent of Weaponizer Optimus, which was a kids toy and that fans rejected. Although this one has a poorer alt mode and less articulation.

I do want him and I have thoroughly checked him out. the robot mode is the main grab for me. I want a power surge Prime, but as I already have a warrior Optimus, I'd like something different. And yes while the alt mode isn't good I'm ok with it, and I primarily display bigger transformers in robot mode anyway. And his robot mode looks awesome. Plus the gimmick seems pretty good too. And he is articulated, and no I did not get big Megatronus :MAXIMAL:

Fellow Seibertronians, Thanks to yours Truly in rural Western Pennsylvania, we now have our first in hand look at the 2nd Minicon 4-pack! This Minicon pack was found at the Walmart in Ebensburg, Pennsylvania for $15.99 and features Hammer and Anvil, now known for their associating with Bisk, Undertone, partner to Ratchet, and Weapon Slipstream, the first in-hand look at a weapon minicon we have had!

I will also give you a quick minicon-review of the figures themselves:

Hammer is an incredible little figure that features a solid Transformation into a cyclone, and his energon parts work very well for him. His colors work nicely and the red, blue and green make for an interesting combination. He features moving parts in his wings as well as a rotating tail.

Anvil is probably the weakest of the pack as he lacks any articulation and comes with no energon parts. He does make for a good gargoyle though!

Undertone is a nice little figure. He features moving arms and a nice fold up transformation. Now, in the show he is portrayed as a buzzsaw, and as a toy there are only Decepticon deployers that work with cyclones, making him an oddity. He does also have a nice double row of spikes going around the whole cyclone shape though.

Weaponizer Slipstream is the winner of the wave for me. He is an all new mold, though he shares the same transformation style as his buzzsaw counterpart. He comes with energon bits that give him the look of a 4-barreled gun and enables him to hold a pair of guns in robot mode. The energon bits work exceptionally well with this figure. He has a flip-down handle on his back that is long and enables all kinds of characters to hold him. He also features a brand new head sculpt.

I have mirrored the images below for your enjoyment. Check them out, and let us know what you think in the comments section below. And as always Stay tuned to Seibertron.com for all your latest Transformers News and Galleries!
