Thanks to our usual Weibo source TF-Factory, we have news the backs of the packagings have been revealed for the upcoming Studio Series deluxe class figures Barricade, Sideswipe, and World War II Bumblebee! These figures were revealed not too long ago, and feature a Movie 1 accurate Barricade, complete with wheel mace weapon and some Masterpiece inspired design touches, a Dark of the Moon accurate Sideswipe in his convertible Stingray mode complete with swords and blasters, and a new World War II Bumblebee figure based on his flashback scene from The Last Knight, though the new figure itself is not entirely accurate to either the movie or the concept art.

The other 2 figures from this wave, Clunker Bumblebee and Crankcase, were not included in the packaging images.

You can check out the packaging images below, and let us know what you think of these figures in the comments section below!

Thanks to Youtube reviewerTFA1024 - The Transformers Addict, we have a new video review to share with you today, this time for the newly released Rebekahs Garage Bumblebee set! This set features another use of the original Studio Series 1976 Camaro Bumblebee figure, minus some paint apps in the feet and car mode, but now with a bunch of customizable parts and a crap load of stickers to decorate your figure to your specifications! It also comes with a figurine of Charlie from the new Bumblebee movie, albeit with a different hair style.

This figure is currently available for Pre-order on Entertainment Earth for $29.99, and is due out next month.

Check out the video review below, and let us know if you intend to pick this figure up in the comments section below!

I still plan on getting these 3. Barricade is obviously gonna be in the movie one display, Sideswipe was a favorite of mine in the RotF line, so getting a figure that can stand is nice, and I think the new Bee might go to my Generations display to serve as Bulkhead

Why would you bother? As far as I can tell, the only difference between Crankcase and Berserker's movie models is the later has a red X on his chest. If you already have a second Berserker for the head, couldn't you just paint over the X and be done with it? Cause Hasbro's SS Crankcase is a joke.

They also have different types of legs, also, Crankcase has longer dreads

They're literally the same character model, just a few minor pieces and color differences between them.

Are you thinking of Crowbar, who has the longer dreads (and whose toy they are using to make Crankcase, for some reason)?

What really confuses me is, there IS a character who has the same character model as Crowbar, Dreadbot from TLK. That would require some remolding for the vehicle parts, but it would make a heck of a lot more sense than trying to make him Crankcase.

Yeah.... I don't mean to be racist, but all those 'cons look alike to me. ;)

Clearly some people in charge wanted to make a Predator (Yautja) / Transformer hybrid. And they were so pleased with themselves, that they repeated it twice more.

IIRC the final movie models of the Dreads had the same bodies (Hatchet aside obviously) but with different heads. The concept art gave them subtle differences in bodies.

I'll probably just get Berserker and Crowbar, the decos match on them well enough.

I don't know what that's supposed to be, but that's not his chest, it's the back of his feet

compare the ridges on the sides of it to the ridges on the sides of his feet and you can see the rounded corner on his heels.

We don't usually see that level of cheating outside of jets. Most land vehicles tend to be a little cleaner underneath. It's like they needed to give him a bit of height so they made big feet that couldn't fit underneath properly.

I've taken a look at some images of the vehicle he's based on, the Humber Light Reconnaissance Car, and at least one liberty is taken, with the chassis or suspension sticking out a bit too far underneath. All for the sake of heels I suppose.

Taiwanese reviewer Kevin Liu got his hands on a Transfomers Studio Series 22 deluxe Dropkick. In the video, we can view the transformation of a helicopter into a robot. While Dropkick is a triple changer in the film, the toy only converts into a helicopter. And while there is a Studio Series Shatter coming out which only has a car mode, we are currently unaware of any further releases of either Dropkick with a car alt mode or Shatter with a jet alt mode. This toy comes from the final wave of the wave 4 of the Studio Series line and should be at retail soon. The fullw ave contents are below and as you can see, it will not be hard to find Dropkick.

Probably because most of the Studio Series figures are really really good. And also inflation and other economic stuff which I don't understand because I suck at math :-P

It isn't necessarily a price increase now, TLK deluxes were at $20 MSRP as well.

Probably Licensing, Movie toys have to pay to look like real vehicles and if its anything like past lines, Paramount gets a slice of the pie too. Although my local Walmarts just rollback'd their Studio figures to 16.85

Movie, RotF, DotM were all level with other contemporary lines, licensed or not. Plus, the Bumblebee Movie toys actually has two licenses for vehicles: the Chevrolet Camaro and the Volkswagen Beetle, both for the titular character. While true that the Studio Series has the most licenses of any line, the price hike started with TLK.

What may be a factor is the desire to make a clearer distinction between "collector-grade" and "regular toy" lines, with the former having a slightly higher price tag.

Huh, Dropkick looks like Battletrap. I kinda like it.

Speaking of the Bumblebee movie, have we heard anything else about that 2-pack with Volkswagen 'Bee and TLK 'Bee? Never got the TLK one, Volkswagen 'Bee has started popping up in stores in my area and I've been debating if I want to pick him up now or wait for the 2-pack, but I can't find anything about it.

Dropkick being a deluxe is a damn shame. If it were a voyager or leader it would be an automatic buy. But deluxe is an automatic pass. It needs to be a voyager to go with Generations Whirl. Whatever!

I mean, he's a SuperCobra, which isn't a huge helicopter, but its certainly a lot bigger than a VW Beetle.

Then again, he also turns into a muscle car, which would only be a LITTLE bigger, so maybe they just got the robot modes close enough and didn't really worry about vehicle accuracy.

No idea what the Whirl connection is though, does he also have a toy that turns into a SuperCobra, maybe?

Studio Series has been more bothered matching up bot modes then the vehicles, and I thought Whirl was a generic helicopter mode but I can see the resemblance.

The G1 toy, in fact. He's similar to the Bell AH-1 Cobra, of which the current SuperCobra is a variant.

Chefatron recently put up a review of Studio Series 21 Voyager Class Starscream (the 2nd, Revenge of the Fallen, version), on his YouTube channel. Chefatron clearly liked the figure, praising its paint apps especially the matt-textured tatoos. The main difference between this figure and the original, besides paint scheme, is the buzzsaw attachment, which he used in Revenge of the Fallen and Dark of the Moon. The original figure seemed to have meant to come with it, but was removed before released.

So, what are your thoughts on the figure now? Click the video below and be sure to tell your thoughts in the Pub forums!

Cool mold, lovely deco and really good gun arm integration.

I'm probably late to the party but don't forget to push out the chest for bot mode and then back in for alt-mode. Thanks for the heads up Hasbro ;)^ 8-}

He does look awesome and yeah I didn't realise the chest thing when I got Lockdown until a couple days after I bought him. :)

I noticed a pin while transforming him a couldn't figure out why it was there so I thought maybe it was just to hold him together. Then I noticed how weird his chest looked when I TF'd him back into a bot. So I started poking at the inside of the chest and it popped right out. Not the easiest thing to do either way and spent feel good, but drags the ground if left out though and all the art shows the chest out.

Alt-mode was larger than expected and seems bigger than the old mold. Won't be able to compare until I get home on Friday. Excepted to see SR next to LD and HR.
