Tformers has gotten a hold of a new scan from
Figure Ou magazine, the very same magazine responsible for the
'Mickey-formers' news.
This scan shows the transformation of the vehicle to robot mode, and diagrams some of the
Alternity GT's syncrotech (think automorph) technology. By pushing or pulling certain parts it causes other parts to automatically (to a degree) transform.
Check out the engineering involved by clicking
here!

Cool to see but I don't like the scale. It looks really small in the person's hands. About the same size as the G1 cars.

The only thing I don't like in Alternity is that they start with a mold and it's repaint (insert random Star Trek image) and it's head too much resembles the NIKE-formers head.
But the mold itself looks pretty fine.

Aside from it's smaller size, it looks good. Wish they did it in 1:24 though.

Still liking the mold, still not the car.
So is the GTR mold gonna be used over and over? I mean that seriously, 'cause it's quite universal.

This is one of those things where I'll have to withhold judgment till I personally handle it.
If it's engineered well enough for the transformation to work as smoothly as that, it could actually be very cool.
Or like certain other Takara figures, it could be a fiddly mess of frustration. But I like how they show the instructions from 2 different angles.

I agree with ya Sherade, But I'm still buying this thing. If we support the line enough than perhaps we can get a domestic sports car released!
I like how Takara was able to fit all this automated transformation into such a small scale. It's very impressive.

I love the scale. It's not too big, and yet, very detailed.

Actually, both are Convoy (Prime) according to what was heard so far.

It's gonna look weird if Prime and Megatron are gonna have same alt mode.

Alternity looks good. I hope this is not a line, because I'd only buy the initial release. I'd always prefer the 1:24 scale.

If ever only one or two were produced, we can always shove them into the Movie group. He'd look great to display beside Camaro.
