The pages shown are quite interesting giving more insight into the Decepticons, and the origins of three Decepticons of particular interest that have been focal as of late.

Not saying Guidi's art wasn't absolutely drop-dead fantastic and all, but I am a HUUUGE fan of Su's art and am glad to see him taking his pen to this!
Cannot wait to nab this for my very own! Thanks for the peeky!

And did you guys see the Soundwave light in the upper right corner of the bot page? Man that had to be the suckiest disguise ever.

You beat me to it! That's totally Soundwave's lamp post alt mode!
At least he's not Signal Lancer... in the middle of the dessert with a pointy stick up his butt!

It's Deluge! My favorite Aquaspeeder that I had when I was a kid!
This is actually the first time that I am looking forward to picking up an issue of AHM. It's either seeing Su's art again, or the way that Thundercracker is portrayed.
I just hope that the rest of the issue lives up to the first 4 pages.

Nice litle outburst by Cracker too.
WTF is Jazz going to tell Kup, was it Jazz?
yeah I know people hate, but every single issue of AHM has blownme away, this next one looks to be no different. And backstory, here it comes!

Doesn't this totally invalidate Spotlight: Blaster? Beachcomber was injected with a cerebro-shell from Bombshell.

and the art is Guidi? looks more EJ Su.

(Just continuing to try and shoehorn this thing into continuity)
I think the Soundwave lamppost was just a nod to the first episode of the cartoon. We know that Soundwave is on Earth.
Jazz must have been ground zero for the first or major assault. Since the attack was galaxy wide it is safe to assume that many Autobots didnt know what hit them. Kup and Co. must have just been trying to survive the attack and find other Autobots to regroup and figure out what happened.

Oh yeah, it ws total fanwankery, I was not trying to imply that it was Soundwave in that pic, just the object that he stole his disguise from. I believe it has been done before in comics, but it's just cool to see.

The Swarm, the experiments that did not work.

And once again it contradicts established continuity but oh well at least he tries.
At least I'll get some EJ Sue art in this comic.

BUT.
we dont know whats going on. at first i thought if they were in their WW forms you could easily explain it as being set before spotlight blaster and maintain that we just didnt see the swarm till now. but the fact their in their escalation forms means that these scenes have to be set at least in the last year or so.
so i thought "thats it , complete pissing on whats gone before and glaring continuity gaff"
THEN i got to thinking. why am i assuming that im seeing bombshell creation? what if its his RE creation?
what if megs deliberatly experimented on thousands of his own troops to resurect a bombshell and the insecticons who couldve been offed AFTER spotlight blaster who got payback on em!
it'd certainly explain why he's asking him who he is and where he is. im thinking that how this whole thing came about now is this resurected bombshell, using his abiiity to controll others, implanted a bot with a crebro shell. and the bots, who thought this ability was dead and gone, didnt look out for it and got sucker punched by a "Traitor".
at least thats my theory.
in fact to further tie it to continuity you could say the process was extrapolated from jhiaxus's tech involving the monstercons or indeed the fallen dead universe TFs .
it mightnt be the cluster fuck we think it is.

Even if that would be so there are still sooooooooooo many continuity errors in this "story" like the very beginning of AHM #1 all up to Kup and the Matrix, plus the fact Prime is dyeing while we saw that he can save himself by downloading himself into his trailer.
To be frank I think this should be snuffed out of continuity and set into the Spotlight Mirage universe.

Slag I want to see how Kickback is like in AHM, let's see him charm the pants off us for once, rather than just reading about it on his character profiles.

ponycorn wrote:Megs could have had Deluge experiment on the Decepticon dead.
Or he could be experimenting on living Decepticons.
That would explain Thundercrackers unhappiness with the situation.

In AHM his damage could have occured much quicker causing a shock to his system and thus not giving him time to download into his trailer.

If you have an idea that doesn't quite fit into the continuity you need to ease it in with some form of explanation that is easy enough to follow but not being patronisingly stupid to your audience, this is not an easy job and this is why most writers will avoid ideas that are too complicated to execute.
This guy just thinks "sod it" and throws the idea in, and even if there is a simple explanation we are not given any clue of what it is making the story impossible to swallow.
I think the answer is very simple that he didnt know about SL Blaster and is just happily churning out this crap before he looks back and goes "oh right...why did he write that, it contradicts my epic" this guy is Pat Lee all over again

It's even been done in Archie's Sonic the Hedgehog comics:
