The Michael Bay film is the second picture in the giant robots franchise to hit those lofty heights, after 2009’s “Transformers: Dark of the Moon.” The latest “Transformers” was propelled by a record-breaking reception in China, where the film has earned north of $300 million, a new high-water mark for the world’s second-largest movie market. Its cumulative total includes $763.8 million internationally and $241.2 million at the domestic box office.

I watched it 3 times in cinemas, very excited and great movie.
Loved the characters, Lockdown was a boss.
Didn't notice the loss of weapons.
Did notice that Lockdown is smaller than Prime, which rarely happens in movies where the villain is smaller than the hero. After Prime's sword-upgrade thing, I think he was stronger than Lockdown.
Also noticable, normally, also in the cartoons, Optimus fights Megatron.
In very rare occasions does a hero's ally fight the main villain.

As of July 31, 2014, based on 169 reviews collected by the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, Age of Extinction has received an overall rating average of 17%
Sharknado received positive reviews. It currently has an 82% "fresh" score at Rotten Tomatoes.
That's why I have so little respect for movie reviewers.

The difference between Sharknado and Transformers is that Sharknado is so bad it goes all the way round to being good.

Yeah, Sharknado knows that it's being stupid and just runs with it. The TF movies treat themselves like serious business.DeadCaL wrote:noctorro wrote:Offtopic:

See I found Sharknado so bad it was terrible Every ones opinion is different though, for some people the transformers movies themselves are so bad thet
are good.
As for the movie being successful if it was kiddie? Would anyone complain at a Rescue Bots movie? The TF multiverse can be purposed for any market, getting people to like them is a different matter. Some people seem to run at the mere mention of a kiddie movie. Wreck it Ralph is a kiddie movie
I'm personally wanting Hasbro to get a studio to make straight to DVD animations based of comic stories, an More than Meets the Eye adaptation? Yes please

I pre-ordered the Amazon set with the statue...that statue is awesome regardless and I will pay a little more for it despite my problems with the movie as a whole. I'm glad to see the full release coming so quickly as a low quality release now with a special edition release during holiday season would just be stupid.

It sounds like you hated the movie? Why would you buy it or pay more for the cooler editions? I only paid $5 for Pacific Rim blu ray because I wasn't a big fan of it

Sub Prime,
I didn't completely hate the movie. I'm just getting a little tired of Bay's excessive camera angles, fast shot changes, and explosions. I do not have a huge sound system or anything like that...just a sound bar. I think the movie will be better on a small screen. I may change my mind and get a cheaper version as you said. If the statue was available by itself I would probably just do that. Funny you mentioned Pacific Rim. I kind of liked the movie and still paid $22 bucks for it when it came out...wish I had waited and got that one for $5 like you did. To each their own I guess. Maybe I have just talked myself out of the statue as my local TRU gave me the large Optimus riding Grimlock Display when they were done with it...no idea where I'm going to put that monster of a section yet...the electronics are still intact even

That makes sense. I will agree that the theatre version had its issues.
1. I could barely understand some things being said.
2. Bay's styles is better on a smaller screen and I have a "47
3. With a Blu-Ray/DVD I can skip foward some parts I barely cared for especially with Transformers ROTF(I hated most human scenes)

I had looked forward to Pacific Rim after hearing so many good things about it, especially from people here on Seibertron.com. I was really disappointed. We didn't even finish watching the last 15 minutes of the movie. Not my kind of movie. It felt like I was watching the love child of Transformers and Avatar. My dislike of most "robot" anime and movies outside of Transformers was once again apparent while watching Pacific Rim. Not my type of movie.
To be honest, my movie tastes can be questionable. I am strongly influenced to ultimately have the opposite opinion. If someone tells me a movie is "really, awesome ... you have to go see it" it seems to build up my expectations so much that I just end up getting disappointed. Whereas with Battleship, I had heard so many terrible things about that movie that I enjoyed the campiness of it all. Go figure.

They hate a white guy playing Shredder
The Foot Clan is not like the old movies.
They hate the size of the Turtles and the fact that they seem somewhat overpowered.
They also say the foot clans plan is illogical and festered with plot holes.
But I like IGNs review of TMNT.

Guys that shot with Bee and his arm cannon was not in the movie itself (i have a bootleg given to me by a friend)
It seams this is part of a deleted scene like the dancing scene from one of the spots
I wonder if we are getting some robot deleted scenes like the ROTF walmart bluray edition that had an extended Forrest battle (where Grindor actually did something)
Plus i remember during filming Leadfoot was filmed (same place where the photo of him came from) being chased by black Cemetary wind SUV's like the ones in Ratchet's death scene with Bumblebee and there was some shooting sound effects (they were not actually shooting but it was sounds of it presumably going to be cgi in) and Leadfoot's car stopped and was srounded by SUV's and Bee kept going
I assume that Leadfoot's death was going to be an actual scene instead of on a camera but they either thought to not introduce Bee there (as Bee was with Leadfoot) or they just cut it for time.
Hopefully we get some deleted scenes
