Like a spy with the power to disappear at will, these sets seem to be disappearing out of Fun Pubs hands at the blink of an eye. According to news from the Botcon '08 website:

"UPDATE: 02-15-08

Due to unprecedented demand for our Convention Boxed Sets, we have had to stop accepting Iacon (non-attending) package orders for BotCon 2008. The remaining boxed sets will be reserved for those fans who want to attend
the convention in Cincinnati, OH, April 24th-27th.

While we are consulting with the manufacturer to see if there is a way to increase the quantity of the boxed sets, we do not
expect this will be possible, orders received after 02/14/08 will be put on a wait list.
Thanks for the overwhelming response!
We appreciate the high esteem you have placed on the 2008 and all of our past year's BotCon sets.
We will be sure to keep you updated on the situation. "

Botcon.com has been updated again today with a new image of the Botcon exclusive figure, Optimus Prime, in vehicle mode. The most noticeable details, previously unknown, are a crooked Autobot symbol on the side of the truck, green headlights, and the phrase "'TIL ALL ARE GONE!" on the side of the wind vane. Jizai Toys have announced that their "Perfect Transformation" Powerglide figure kit set will be available for 10,000 Yen, and that they will also be re-offering their "Perfect Transformation" Wheelie figure kit set for 7,000 Yen at the 2008 Winter Wonder Festival, to be held on the 24th of February.

Both figures are kit sets, and as such come unassembled and unpainted.

The Production Numbers for both figures is currently unknown.

Good News for fans of Transformers Movie star Shia LeBouf, as he has just won the BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) "Orange Rising Star Award".

LeBouf edged out other nominees such as Sienna Miller and Ellen Page for the award.

The BAFTA Awards are often used as a precursor for the OSCAR Awards, where the Transformers Movie has been nominated for 3 awards.

The Dutch Transformers convention called Transformations have announced its plans to open its doors once again in 2008. The date has been set at Sunday June 8th to be held in Nieuwegein, the Netherlands. More details will soon appear on their website www.transformations.nu.

Last years convention was considered a huge succes in Dutch terms. Pictures of last years event can still be found at Trypticon.nl

Transformers at the Moon have posted their report following the 2008 British Toy Fare.

Unfortunately no Pictures were allowed to be taken, but the Moon Crew have posted some previously unknown detailed information on upcoming Transformers lines. Below is a synopsis of the report:

Transformers: Animated
- Bulkhead and Optimus Prime will be made in Deluxe, Voyager and Leader size classes
- Earth Mode Megatron will be Leader Sized
- Animated Jazz has a G1 style Deco
- Animated will also have a renamed line very similar to the "Fast Action Battlers". This line will feature electronic lights and sounds.

Classics 2.0 / Universe
- Sunstreaker, Prowl, Onslaught and Powerglide were all on display.

Robot Heroes and Movie figures
- Will all make it to UK shores, with the Movie line running until Animated's Release.

Marvel Transformers
- Hulk, Venom and Iron Man will be the first figures released.
- The figures are smaller than megamorphs, and more comparable to SWTF.
