Funny you should mention that. I dont collect any of the toys for RiD (my son has 2 deployers and some mini-cons but...) I heard about some SNAFU with getting Paralon (TRU exclusive) out before Scorponok. I actually just started seeing Scorpnok at 2 local Wal-Marts. --Just wondering if Scorponok, or any of the RiD figures have been declared rare, or low production run?

I don't really know. Every minicon from wave 3 and 4 along with Crazybolt are impossible to find. And then Starscream, Paralon and the white Power surge prime come out of nowhere with no warning.

It's all a confused mess. And then the US still doesn't have the air dates for the new episodes even ready yet

I still think this toy line is seeing more cohesive release than Prime did. With its sea of Bumblebees and shoddy release of First Edition, or any other figure that wasn't Bumblebee, RiD is doing a much better job at keeping the waves fresh.

Doesn't mean sh*t to me, though. I'm collecting Transformers Adventure.

Lord knows many of us (hint hint: D-max) have been searching for them and images of them in stores for ages.

My apologies fo rthe delayed response. I just needed to be sure before I posted. Anyway, I'm pretty sure the ones I've been seeing are this assortment:

https://www.amazon.com/Transformers-Rob ... s=minicons

I was mistaken, they were not all cuclones as I previously thought, since I distinctly remember the Slipstream repaints. --Dis the MSRP increase for the 2016 waves of Minicons? I got the first 2 waves for my son at roughly $5 each (actually less than that since the k-Mart near my home was closing).

I just could not see paying $7 each for these, since market 6 is supposed to have them at "clearance" price. Still...if they are rare I may reconsider. I'm going to check my local Market 6 stores today to see if they still have any.

With the official announcement that RiD15 is getting a 3rd season in 2017 subtitled "Combiner Force" now we can put all this faux "Season 3" foolishness behind us. The current 6 episodes are a continuation of season 2 and no doubt we will get 7 more to properly finish the series in the near future.

OK wikipages...time to get it right...

Synopsis Revealed for Robots in Disguise Season 3 Combiner Force

Postby william-james88 » Thu Oct 06, 2016 8:14 pm

Motto: "'till All Are One"
We have more big news in this NYCC week (end) with the official Synopsis for the third season of Robots in Disguise, which is being called "Combiner Force". This third season will begin in 2017. Here is the synopsis from comicbook.com followed by frames from this new season:

"In the Transformers: Robots in Disguise animated series, Bumblebee and his team of Autobots — Grimlock, Strongarm, Sideswipe, Autobot Drift, and Fixit — have figured out how to work together. They’ve captured escaped Decepticon prisoners, defeated longstanding enemies, and defended our planet without any humans (other than their close allies Denny and Russell) knowing they’re here.

In the upcoming third season of the hit series, their ability to work together will be put to the ultimate test! The team faces a new Decepticon threat that is literally the biggest one they’ve faced: a team of five Decepticons who can combine to form a giant super robot and pulverize anything that stands in their way. The Decepticon Combiner team is set to wreak havoc on Earth, and it’s up to Bumblebee and the Autobots to stop them!

The team will discover that they, too, are more than meets the eye. The Decepticons aren’t the only ones who can combine into different bigger, more powerful forms! As sinister new forces rise in the galaxy and powerful enemies unite to bring down the Autobots once and for all, the team must not only learn how to fight when combined with one another, but to truly work as one. All their training…every captured Decepticon…every hard-fought battle…has as all been leading up to this. To emerge victorious, Bumblebee and the Autobots must become…a COMBINER FORCE!”

So what we're watching now that's airing in Canada is instead more like a "season 2.5" mini-series.

Just the second half of season 2. Any different numbering was used only internally, from the marketting standpoint, we are currently watching the rest of season 2 which is followed by season 3.

I know, but the way the "Decepticon Island" two-parter ended was unambiguously like how a season finale would end. It is suspected that that two-parter was originally meant to be the season 2 finale, and that Hasbro wanted something airing on CN in this Fall season to promote the current toys of the line while CN might've wanting the proper Season 3 to wait and start in 2017, making these six extra episodes feel like a mini-series made in the meantime to tide us over until the proper third season comes. After all, the "Optimus goes to investigate the corrupt Cybertron" plot that was alluded to be the next thing to come after the "Decepticon Island" two-parter is very much ignored and interrupted in these six new episodes with Optimus being called right back to Earth so shortly after he left for Cybertron the two-parter. It's very possible that once these six episode wrap up, the status quo of the show will revert back to how it was as of the conclusion of the "Decepticon Island" two-parter to get season 3 off to a start in a way that will make it feel like one could theoretically skip these six episodes entirely. After all, "19-episode seasons" are an abnormality that don't usually happen so casually. It really feels like these six eps were made as an afterthought just to fill a gap.

I got really excited upon reading that. It will be fun to see what kind of combiner team we end up with. A brand new one? Or a new take on an old one? And will it get a frikkin' toy???

Hmmmmm....interesting news. I was already lumping these six episodes in with season two, but at least now it's official in a sense. The big question is, when will it show up in the U.S.?

I'd like to see an interpretation of Liokaiser, given how his components had a bit of an animal theme.

I'm kind of hoping it's a new combiner team. Fingers crossed for human looking ones. I don't want any more animal Decepticons, while it's fun, it's gotten real old, real fast.

I'm dreading what the toys will be like, looking at their current offerings for Combiner Force, it's not going to be pretty. I'm with you Kurona, about the CW compatibility, It would be fun to have a original combiner to fight Victorion (and not one made from known characters)

I always saw "decepticon island" as a mid-level event, it wasn't really that epic like say the end of season one was. More like the middle of season 2 of TF: Prime. We were all left in suspense for a few weeks wondering if Bulkhead was alive or dead ;) (well we knew better but you get the idea) . I'm sure there is another batch of 7 episodes coming to round out this season.

I've heard some speculate these 6 episode are the "TV Movie" that was mentioned earlier this year. I have 2 issues with this. 1 6 episodes is too long for a "movie". Thus some are arguing it has now been changed to a "TV Event" not a movie, which would disappoint me somewhat. If that is the case, still I know back in 2004, CN used to run TF Energon in huge chunks particularly on Friday late afternoons or Saturday early afternoons (4 episodes here, 6 episodes there etc... which was a clear sign CN did not give a (expletive here) about Energon. I hope this is not the case, and we are treated to a full and complete season 2, AND a telefilm in the vein of Predacons Rising (either between s2 & s3 or after season 3)

I dont know if you watched them but they really dont feel at all like a tv movie. they dont connect to eachother in a "to be coninued way" and they instead each have their own climax and resolve at the end. At least the ones I watched. They feel as episodic as the usual.

I agree 100%. so hopefully CN does not pull an "Energon" and show these all in one afternoon as some special event. (so still holding out hope for a RiD15 film)

He does have a Combiner Wars moniker. He's identified as part of that line.

And they most certainly would not advertise a Platinum boxset within RiD. Those and Masterpiece are the only lines Hasbro aren't expecting kids to pick up.

It will provide some nice speculation however...what "Giant" Decepticon Combiner will pose such a threat. First Guess--would obviously be Devastator. he is a classic, of course he would be all different for Rid15. Of course, I'd love to see Chop Shop come back, maybe he gets supersized somehow ;) . I Would have loved to have a toy of him, would be my first RiD15 toy that I own myself.
Bucket/Want List: Botcon 2016 Customization Class Ratchet (G2 Deco), or Customization Class Ratchet (Marvel Comics Deco) **would also be willing to pay for an Unpainted Botcon 2016 Ratchet, TT Legends Fortress Head (only) with working Electronics

Wish List of Modern Combiners: Road Caesar, Monstructor & Dinoking (proper size to fiction), Landcross, Guard City, Battle Gaia, & G2 Defensor. Wish List of Titans:Metrotitan,Majin Zarak

Just point me in the direction of what needs fixin' and I'll do it.

Good Luck with this. I've "fixed" it several times, and somebody keeps changing it back, have placed comments confirming its not season two...Hope you have better luck than I do
