I think Takara's Windblade is hands down better than Hasbro's, but I'm still debating on which version of Arceee & Chromia is better... I need to wait to have both versions in hand before deciding.

I'm already set on going Takara for Arcee and Windblade (even though I've had Hasbro Windblade coming to me from an earlier BBTS purchase), but I'm not certain about Chromia yet. On the one hand, Takara's Chromia looks a lot nicer, but on the other hand, Hasbro's Chromia is more comic-accurate.

TFW2005's SydneyY translated a couple of pages from the latest Figure King magazine. Arcee was designed by Hironori Kobayashi (MP-11, MP-22, Evasion Mode Prime, etc.)
Arcee is the first female Transformers character who was part of a main cast - in Japan she's known for her active role in the “2010” series. The focus of her character design was on the feminine appearance, and was too difficult to recreate as a toy with the technology available at that time. There was a plan of producing her as a Headmaster, but that did not materialize either. Mr. Kobayashi, who is responsible for this product took extra care to perfectly realize the screen accurate transformation process and proportions. Mr. Oshima corroborated from the early planning stage. They did not compromise on any details on her feminine style. (An interview with Mr. Kobayashi will be featured in the next issue.)

Thanks Cyberpath! And to those arm chair know it alls fyi Kobayahi was the winner of the kit bash contest in the Japanese version of Botcon......the Legendary Arcee herself. from there on after, Kobayashi has risen to his place of stature in Takara (Mr. Binaltech to Mr. MP). Nice to hear the belly achers complain about Arcee but her design comes from the "One" himself!

Oh dear god!
He also did the artwork for the two Metrowars manga stories, the Shattered Glass text story "Do Over", the bio artwork for Shattered Glass Ricochet, and the Revoltech manga.

As everyone has the right to say so, Yuki is one fine mech artist. He knows how make kawaii out of kawaii. His art style may lean on the lolli style for humans but in mech design, he stands out together with Ban Magami.

Nonononono! Stop saying these things!!
His artwork's pretty cool when it's not skeevy:

That's showing them Sabr!People are SO fixated to KISSPlayers that one might start suspecting they really loved it in private.

Like it or not KISSPlayers is part of the Japanese continuity. Take it or leave it! Purposely excising an article IS a form of censorship which we ALL should detest! Aren't we against puritanical censorship by the "conservatives"?

And even when you remove the skeevy aspects, Kiss Players DID have two very interesting storylines within itself. One focusing on the formation of the EDC and an anti-Transformer movement, and one for the fans of the multiverse full of so much fanwank and spanning every pre-2007 series's universe, even creating an origin story for both Beast Wars II's Angolmois and Car Robots's Brave Maximus.

So then Is it wrong I've never had a problem with kiss players? It's not like I liked it, my reaction's just been "oh that's a thing". I genuinely don't understand the pearl clutching/think of the children reaction to it. I mean it's skeevy sure, but it's not like it can hurt anyone, it's toys and drawing with words next to them.

It means your are more open minded than others. Yuki's art on how he depicts female is nothing new in the land of the rising sun. Heck, they are more than willing to push it to just within the boundaries of PG to R. If the "critics" just stopped and read more to the story then they'll realize in had a lot of good merits to the retcon.
Btw, try searching for the movie posters of the 1950 sci fi B movies and you'll see how T and A things were back then.

"W-What do you think being human means? That’s what we do. We make questionable choices. Sometimes out of those decisions come the most amazing things. When he drew Kiss Players, it was for edginess. That was it. That was why. For shock effect. That was him making a questionable choice. Without it his other good art wouldn't be here. Even if you've got no faith in him, I’m asking to do what I’d do. I’m asking to look at all the junk and see the treasure. You gotta have faith, guys. In what his art can be."

Depictions of characters who appear under aged, in sexual positions, are illegal in Canada. Dunno what the law is in the US. So Japan can keep this all they want.
ANYHOW! Kiss players isn't related to this topic! So let's drop it shall we?

It became related because Yuki was also part of Arcee's design team. People are making a mountain out of a molehill out of that. Hence I needed to point out together with Sabr that aside from the KISSPlayer work by Yuki, he is also an excellent Mech Designer and it shows.

Ah yes, that. A good job he did of it too, with whatever input was his (which I sort of suspect to be mostly the facial design).
Fellow fan, and video reviewer, Felzbug, has posted a set of new video reviews featuring LG01 Rattle (Rattrap) and LG02 Optimus Primal. These are the same as the US molds, but feature a show accurate deco that strives as much as possible to be the closest to the actual CGI renders.
And now, without any further ado, the video reviews:
