klarinettmeister, you should consider non-retail sources for your Transformers(if you already haven't considered it). The Transformers community does a lot of trading and selling, which is awesome because you can normally get fair pricing rather than jacked up store prices or crazy eBay seller prices(I've seen a seller list an accessory for like $3 but then mark the shipping cost at $40...insane).
klarinettmeister wrote:Thanks for the tip Convotron! The shipping rates are very high from foreign countries like the US to Sweden today. I don´t know any other serious Transformers collectors in Sweden either. I have been using Tradera (a swedish ebay) where I won the bid on a MISB movie 2007 leader Megatron for 14 US$! That´s the same site I used when I won the bid on a MIB (transformed once) Brave Maximus a few years ago priced SEK 2600:-; 345 US$ (today´s rate).
I just want 2 leaders Jetfire... 1 to be MISB and one to play with my 2nd leader Optimus.
According to what I´ve read in the forum I think 220 US$ Devastator is too much money. As alot of people here could get at least 2 Devastator for that same price!

Wow, those are some great finds, klarinettmeister!
Yeah, shipping can be a big part of cost when purchasing outside of local retail sources. The UK has quite a booming Transformers fan community. I've seen some great deals, on eBay at least, from UK sellers. I imagine the shipping from the UK to Sweden must be a fair bit less than from North America. Have you explored UK sources for Transformers?
And yes, $220 USD for Supreme Devastator is quite overpriced. It has arrived recently in my area of Canada and it's priced at $100 CAD so it's basically on par with normal pricing of the set. However, as I've gathered from your postings of pricing in Sweden, the cost of Transformers seems to be generally more expensive, which is too bad.
klarinettmeister wrote:Thanks! I picked up Brave Max yesterday from his box and put him on a table. I think he beats Devastator. Are there aany pics of Fort, Brave or Grand Max together with ROTF Devastator for size comparison?
Brave Max seems to be the same height of ROTF Megatron + Movie 2007 Megatron without the boxes. Tidal wave seems puny and cute standing next to Brave Max. The same goes for ROTF leader Prime.
Thanks again for the tips, Convotron! I haven´t thought about the UK that much. I´ve only checked the Toys R Us in UK and they don´t ship to Sweden. But I heard from my boyfriend that they have a Toys R Us in the city where he lives! And I also have heard there are 2 Toys R Us in my region too. But prices are propably the same in all Sweden.

I think Brave Max is taller than ROTF Devastator. Even plastic wise, Brave Max is composed of better plastic quality than some of the recent figures.

It's because Brave Max is the best. Ever.
klarinettmeister wrote:I think it´s gonna be expensive with the shipping. And you don´t know how the mail will be handled, but when you buy from a store near you, you know how they look like. I´ve also looked at some youtube reviews of Devastator and I´m actually beginning to like him. But is he worth getting? He seems to be just a few inches taller than leader Megatron so I don´t think he can beat Brave Max.
I have a plan to get 2 Devastator and have one as a MISB. I´ll try to get a better price from the store if I buy both of them, if they still got them left.
klarinettmeister wrote:I'm not planning on selling him. I just need one MISB and one to display together with Demolishor and Optimus. I´ve talked to the store and I have booked them. No more children to touch my Devastators! Who knows how many... or few Devs we have in Sweden. I didn´t get any discount, but I´m gonna talk to the person who knows Transformers better tomorrow.
I have prebooked 2 of Modern Warfare 2 for PS3 and I´m planning on cancel one of them and use the money for buying 1 of Devastator and also one extra. MW2 and Devastator are at the same price.

Yes, that too. My local Target got another shipment of Devastator, with this sale over, they're starting to clog the shelves again.

Nice Tell them to send them to Sweden.
Well... I couldn´t resist. I bought 2 Devys. The boxing was terrible! It took one hour to remove all the parts from the box! You´re right about the plastic. It´s totally different from all other Transformers. It´s more toyish. It´s propably more stable and can carry more weight, but with less detail. He looks menacing, but small. He´s not even reaching up to Brave Maximus chest. I´ll try to take some pictures this weekend compared to Brave Max if someone is still interested.
I was amazed of how big Scavanger and Mixmaster was. The veichles by themself are not very impressive. They are clearly made to use simple transformation to hold Devs weight. He is made to be shown as Devastator. I´m glad I picked up 2 cause it´s impossible to rebox him the same way he was before. I still don´t know if I´m happy with my investment, as I see it. Right now it just feels Ok. Somehow it feels like he´s looking better inside the box...

HASBROOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Congrats on picking up 2 Devs...but 2 Devs? Wow, that's a lot of plastic.
