It sounds like these focused on collecters and kids alike. Which is the way it should be. The only thing I was dispointed in as far as the annoucemnts that have come so far is the mp starscream is going to be walmart exlusive. I wonder if they are going to cut corner to make it 59.99, like take out the die cast metal and make all plastic.

...they've never stripped the die cast off of the 20th Optimus, or the reissues.

Besides, other than a piece of metal in his back, MP Starscream is totally plastic. The metal is what holds him together, last I checked.

I actually like the initial MP Starscream's paint job better than his classic colours. I'm almost amazed that I'm saying this but the classic colours look a little too campy on such a detailed and realistic looking piece. Neh...pass

It's a shame you couldn't take pics of the stuff, I so badly wanna see all these new figures for next year!

But I can understand why they wouldn't let you. It's like when Nintendo released info about the Wii-mote, Sony MAGICALLY went back and redesigned the-r PS3 controller to also have accelerometers in them.
Serves em right that they're going under.

Good news on the toy front!

As for animated... if it's as good as it has been described I guess I can swallow my pride and give it another chance.

So......did this get fixed in the American release? Or did they leave it in there and we are going to see it tonight? Does that mean that they maybe talk about Devastator in a deleted scene?

Throwing in my 2 cents: Sorry if it's all over the place, just trying to pull it all out from memory.

I originally was not a big fan of the new Animated look and thought that I would not be buying the toys. The panel totally changed my mind. Really fast!! The animation is what is kinda expected. Definitely along the lines of Teen Titans. Some might love it, some might hate it. I thought it was nice. But the toys. Oh what love. If I hate the cartoon, it's no biggie cause the toys look amazing.

Megs has an arm cannon (cybertronian bot form at least), Starscream is very sleek.

Blitzwing looks great too. Re triple changers: They said that since they already have Astrotrain out, Blitwing will be represented on the animated show, while Octane will be in the Cl 2.0 line. They don't want to have too many similar characters out at the same time (One in each line is what they want).

Prowl is different because he's a bike in the toon, and looks nothing like the Prowl we know.

Oh, and they said that we will get some Cybertronian versions of the toys also. *crosses fingers for Megs*

Seacons...Acepticon from the TCC asked...no, pleaded just to know if we are getting Seacons. He just wanted a yes or no answer. The panel continued to swerve around the question. IMO, that's a yes to the Seacons. When? I have no clue, but I'm taking their coyness as a yes to Seacons.

Those are the bits for now.

Hahaha, Counter-punch had the same pic! But then again so did most people that went on the tour.

I gotta say of all the new designs that they showed us, that is the bottom of the barrel. It's a nice idea, but I dislike the lack of hands.

I wish you guys that weren't there could see Seibertron him updating this news live while everyone else gets to whoop, hollar, and have fun watching the panel. My Hat's off to you bro.

So anyway, I'm since I met some of the staff here, and they are Incredibly cool arty animalistic decepticon warriors, I'm going to try to make this forum a second home  . The set up will take a little getting used to and I already know my spelling and sometimes grammar stinks, so "lay off" in advance for you great scholars. I met alot of you folks at Botcon so please feel free to reintroduce yourselves :)

Well, they said they were planning on calling Classics 2.0 "Universe"....& supposedly the seacons are already packaged in a warehouse somewhere in "Universe" packaging just waiting for an opportunity to get unleashed on the world... :-?

I say we'll probably see them in the first wave of Universe figures...possibly as a store exclusive, but it could very well be mass distributed in that higher price point they mentioned.

A lot of great news...

I wasn't floored by any of it when I was sitting there. They spent a lot of time on the animated designs, and the toys from them. I believe that they have a lot wrapped up in this and that they really and truly are hoping for an awesome show, and toyline here. It's already better in my mind because it is being made here, and is not just a dubbed voices over another show, where there are weird edits.

FYI_ Archer's favorite character, Lockdown, is from the new animated series, and is onviously a new character.

Animated Decepticons are supposed to be more bad ass. According to them, when you see Megatron show up, you're supposed to take the deep gulp, and have that 'Oh $h!t' moment.

I believe they stated Ironhide would be made in CLASSICS, and that Ratchet was logical to follow, but not any time soon. They want to do molds that for the most part, lend themselves well to others.

I believe that while the chest and head are different on the twins, they are supposed to have the same alt mode. It was hard to see from where I was, but it looked like the same car, just one was red, and one was yellow. Perhaps not though.

The Animated toys do look good.

They showed two Prime toys--the voyager size one was the Earth Prime with trailer/extended section that turns into at least part of, if not all of his axe.

The other Prime was a deluxe and was the Cybertronian mode. It's hard to describe, but it looked like a wheeled rolling platform, with a raised, slanted cab above it.

Bulkhead's toy looked awesome!!! Big huge, and mean! He has a wrecking ball to swing around too!!!

Each TF does have a special power--like a super hero--and there weapons are supposed to transform into part of the vehicle.

I love the fact that they are not doing stock transformations, and that the designs are not the ultra-toy realisitic versions we saw in Energon and Cybertron.

Cool stuff, but noting was fabulous, at least in my eyes, but good. Classics continuing is great, but just so you know, it was NEVER intended to continue. So those who are saying 'see I told you so', it was never in the plans.

It was a bridge and filler. It was meant to end. Only due to the fact that it was immensely popular, and supports the movie and show that it continues and we lose alternators, and titanium 6-inch.

Also, the UNIVERSE line is not just G1 CLASSICS. It is there for them to do other things that they would like. I assume, minicons, beasties, and the like.

And I don't think I saw this yet, but baseformers were brought up, and they said that there was something in the works that would take care of that desire for us. What that means we do not know, but at least they did not say no, as we were told last year, and before.

Who knows what that meant though???

Nice to see Asepticon here. I've interacted with you on the TFCC forums a bit, and I'm glad to see you joined here as well!
