In Hand Images - Transformers Movie Masterpiece MPM-6 Ironhide

At long last, it appears as though the MPM-6 Ironhide is finally coming towards the light!

Thanks to Weibo user ???????, we have new in hand images of the upcoming Movie Masterpiece MPM-6 Ironhide! This figure, which was originally supposed to arrive in September to Hasbro Toy Shop and Amazon, has taken the back seat to the MPM-7 Bumblebee, most likely to cash in early on his upcoming movie. We have had very little information regarding Ironhide since his official images, but now we have these images to share with you.

These images show off his robot mode and his GMC Topkick mode, and gives us a fantastic look at all his molding and sculpting. He also is shown off in his well-known pose with both arms up and cannons at the ready. Unfortunately, we don't get much more in the way of posability shots.

Ironhide pre-orders are beginning to trickle out to the public, albeit the Takara release, meaning we still don't have much regarding the Hasbro release.

Check out the images below, and let us know what you think in the comments section below!

Looks really cool, but honestly I think I like the look of SS Ironhide better :-?

So damn beautiful. I love all the details and everything. I don't buy Masterpiece though cos reasons and I'm happy with the Studio figure but yeah for those who can afford these things then yeah it looks great. Enjoy. :)

Well now, messy undercarriage aside that looks way better than the official images we got from Hasbro. I can't get it at release, December isn't exactly the best time for expensive figures, but I'll be keeping an eye on Mandarake for it next year.

Wow, that bot mode is spot-on perfect. I'd like to see how well he poses first. BTW, just found SS Ironhide and POTP Optimal Optimus at my local Target. Didn't get them though

I am SO glad that MPM Ironhide is finally coming! I've seen the Studio Series on shelves for the last month and a half, but every one I've seen has had the most horrible paint applications that I've never considered buying it.

Now to forward this to my hubby, who is my supplier for over half of my MPs. :x

Why was the Studio Series toy so much better are hiding the kibble? I'd accept visible feet hanging off the back of the truck on a $20 toy, but I don't know if I can accept it on an $80 toy. The bottom of the truck was much cleaner on the cheaper and smaller toy too.

Bot mode looks great, the paint looks really nice, and a lot of the details that get lost on the Studio Series toy really pops. Still, I almost wonder if it is worth waiting for some 3rd party to upsize and repaint the Studio Series figure for $40 rather than spend $80+ on this guy.

Gotta be honest, with the newer and better pictures, I've lost a lot of interest in this figure.

I'm still gonna get it, but I've lost a lot of interest.

It's possible that the feet can be hidden but the photographer overlooked it. That had better be the case. If it's not the case and the feet are left exposed... write to Hasbro saying "Wrong! Do it again!" because that is pathetic.

I... think I'll stick with my Studio Series Ironhide. That just does not do it for me.

Fellow Seibertron user, PrimevsPrime, has shared with us a video review they have created of the newly released Takara Tomy Movie Masterpiece MPM-6 Ironhide! Included in the review is a detailed step by step transformation from robot to vehicle, as well as other notes about the figure. Please watch and enjoy!

This figure is available to buy now, and is based off his appearance in the 2007 movie.

I'm not as excited about this figure as I was before. Believe me, it still probably is the best movie Ironhide we have, but I feel MPM Bee(both Camaro and VW versions) and Barricade are better. I don't have enough income yet to afford any, but if I could get just one, I would definitely get Barricade :x

I'm just very happy with SS Ironhide, especially after I painted all the details in. The only thing the MPM version did significantly better than the SS version is the front bumper. But after painted it in gun metal, it isn't so jarringly noticeable anymore. Just can't justify spending 3X the money for the MPM.

Hello Seibertronians,

While I MUCH prefer G1-faithful toys (Optimus Prime, Megatron, Starscream), I also have Bayverse-faithful favourites (Bumblebee, Barricade). And now, my next favourite Bayverse-faithful in line, the Transformers MPM-06 Movie Masterpiece Ironhide is out, and I found the Youtube review below really good for a starter.

Overall it's a beautiful Masterpiece, loyal to the movie - and Ironhide remains one of my favourite movie characters. As you can see from the video, PrimevsPrime points out the one engineering "flaw" (how big this flaw is, depends on the collector) which is the chest/arms articulation. That sours it a little bit for me, but I'm almost willing to overlook it because Ironhide is so cool.

The only setback I have is that I've got limited budget for either the Transformers MPM-06 Movie Masterpiece Ironhide or the superbly engineered Unique Toys UT-01 Peru Kill aka Lockdown.

What do you think?

Haha, that too but that doesn't bother me as much as the chest/arm articulation...

The big flat panels on the arms are unfortunate, but Movie Ironhide is one of my favorite characters/figures, so he's a buy.
