AllSpark energy turns a junk pile into a sentient robot who tries to help the Autobots, but ends up doing more harm than good
Just in case you've didn't have the internet while you were living under that rock, this episode features Junkion Leader Wreck-Gar voiced by the "totally stupid" Weird Al Yankovic!

I do wonder what Daniel's new sibling is going to be called. I can hear the theme tune to the omen already though.
Wreckgar was hilarious... especially when he says "I must deliver garbage to all!" then proceeds to throw a bunch of trash on Bumblebee and Ratchet.
"All hail Megatron! ..... What's a Megatron?"
"I dare to be stupid!"
Posted by Omega Charge on May 3rd, 2008 @ 3:54pm CDT
Wreck-Gar was likable, and it was really fun to see him give himself all those names and traits.
Lugnut again with the crazy loyalty, I thought it was funny when he described the
garbage truck Wreck-Gar as "not worthy". Plus, the episode featured the mace seen in his toy.
Again, I'm not a fan of Ratchet, so I don't care too much for episodes that character-build him, but Wreck-Gar makes it watchable. Not too much Decepticon action, but the episode wasn't based on them anyway.
6.5/10

Tekka wrote:"I dare to be stupid!"
Greatest line in the whole episode.
Of course, hearing Wreck-Gar say "the universal greeting" was great too.
I also loved seeing the tick in Megatron's eye while Lugnut was spouting off his usual fanatical rant. Reminded me of watching BW Inferno annoying BW Megatron with his "my queen" statements. We also got to see Lugnut's ax from his toy.

This was by far the funniest episode so far. I haven't laughed this hard in a few days. Definitely one of their better ones.
And wow...this episode was a total G1 fanwank.
Spike and Carly (Spike voiced by Corey Burton, no less!)
Wreck-Gar (voiced by "Weird" Al Yankovic)
Wreck-Gar's lines, including "Dare To Be Stupid"
If you're a G1 fan, then this episode should've been enough to put a smile on your face, at least for a little while.
This was pure, absolute fun.

Wreck-Gar was amusing for a few minutes, but it became annoying quickly. I do see MUCH potential for more, and better, later though! Weird Al is FANTASTIC as that character, I have to say!
The scene that had me rolling with laughter was Megatron's reaction to Lugnut's gushingly disgusting ode to his greatness! The whole eye-twitch just got me!
And, in closing, I must reiterate......
......ANGRY ARCHER MUST DIE!

I'll take Weird Al over Eric Idle any day!

Autobot032 wrote:And wow...this episode was a total G1 fanwank.
totally agree with that, lol. if u're a G1 fan, u've got to have had a smile on ur lips when wreck gar dished out the universal greeting.
Posted by Sabrblade on May 3rd, 2008 @ 11:45pm CDT
And the two G1 references were great: Wreck-Gar's G1 vehicle mode was thrown at bumblebee when Wreck-Gar "gave him all he had", and of course "Bah-weep-Graaaaagnah wheep ni ni bong". Perfect.
But they seemed to give Ratchet a lot more of a temper and dislike of... well, everything.
It would seem the Mayor is incapable of speech, having his Aide to speak for him.
And Lugnut is becoming more and more the BW Inferno of Animated.

Sabrblade wrote:This was the funniest episode yet! Wreck-Gar was made of pure win! I'm glad "he's not quite dead".
At Botcon when this episode aired everyone was rolling on the floor and just enjoying the episode. Then it got to the part where Ratchet only pulled out junk from the water and there was silence. A total 180 in terms of mood. I'm hoping that maybe some sort of garbage will fall on him and he will repair himself. That would be fun.

Pure.
Solid.
Gold.
This is the best Megatron yet. I love this show.
Posted by NiteStar on May 4th, 2008 @ 4:37am CDT
They made Wreck-Gar an actual garbage truck? Well I guess after 20 years it should make sense.
The archer dude was in this episode for no reason. Im telling you these human Villians serve no purpose to the story other than to create fillers and extra scenes.
ok and So....Does no one care about Sari's Dad anymore? Cartoon or Not, if someone's family member is either killed or kid-napped.....Thats a Big Deal! They should be looking for him and trying to figure out what is going on. And that Guy who took over the Company is just there and everyone is like "Ok everything is Fine". And when they agreed on the Sanitation contract they were all "YAY"! Uhhh......HELLO Sari, your Dad is missing and You have no Identity! HELLO Autobots, there are Decepticons on the Planet! WAKE UP GUYS! None of this sanitation stuff important right now. I don't think this episode was placed well in the Storyline. It should have been in the alleged First season(ha ha) with all the other fillers. I mean its a Really cute episode but Its a complete "OK lets forget about everything that just happened up untill this point" episode.
I did like it though but its like ok were just jumping around here.
It is what it is at this point.

Considering he's the only one, that's not much of an accomplishment.
Anyways, saw the episode, thought it was OK. Though the overuse of G1 fanwank, as opposed to other episodes, was a little overdone.

Are you saying Headmaster, Nanosec, Prometheus Black, and Porter C. Powell don't exist?Darth Bombshell wrote:Considering he's the only one, that's not much of an accomplishment.
It was meant to be taken in the context of the show as a whole, not the individual episode.
He is good for a laugh, and the humour really makes the show, since it heavily outweighs the cool moments.
Posted by Sunstar on May 4th, 2008 @ 8:29am CDT
I just loved how Megatron's optic started to twich when lugnut started to kiss his aft. I think he would prefer Starscream's attitude than someone who grovels.

the best moment was megatron's interaction with lugnut. wreck gar was annoying and thank god for the fanwank moments cos otherwise it'd be a complete waste.
maybe coming after the previous week's episode which was amongst the better animated, this one looked well, a bit rubbish (sorry.)
time to win the lotto, learn cgi and redo g1 with better stories and megatron crushing humans into goo.

I was sad as Ratchet bought out nothing but garbage and was happy as they showed that Wreckgarr was still alive!
Moar of Megatron doing the I hate Kluso eye.

And Angry Archer is made of awesome.

The Spike and Carly thing just made me cringe at the thought of another Daniel. If the series is gonna use them, I'd like to see them as more than comic relief. Love the outfits though
As for Wreck-Garr, well the updated alt is very fitting, the toy better come with a vacum weapon and hopefuly trash molded onto the inevitable rockets, hell how awesome would a garbage block projectile be!?!
As for the preformance, well, I can't say anything bad about Weird AL, I just cant! However I was upset that he didn't talk TV. That was a let down...
Sectioning Lugnut though, can that explain his alt, me wonders... ?

Indeed, and I think it's more than mere coincidence. Robocop is supposed to take place in Detroit.
If so, then that's a heck of a cool nod.

You know I’ve been thinking about this for awhile now.
Doesn’t anybody feel bad about downloading a show that will air unchanged in their own country in just one week?
I mean if you lived in some remote area where they didn’t air animated and you otherwise would have no form of access to it I could understand, but your downloading something that’s going to air, I’ll say it again, UNCHANGED IN YOUR OWN COUNTRY IN JUST ONE WEEK!!!
Its just wrong.

Well, considering that I cancelled my cable service because it was too much to pay to watch only three channels... no, not really.
Anyway, back on subject, this was still a good episode.
Lugnut: Stasis lock itself could not deter me from carrying out your grand and glorious plan!
Megatron: *eye twitching* Just... go!

very funny episode. wierd al is insane

Starting with Spike and Carly calling each other by name and Wreckgar throwing out movies references like "Dare to be Stupid" and "Bah Weep Grannah Weep Ninni Bong"
I loved Weird Al doing Wreckgar's voice .....And Spike having his origional voice
If you watch real close, Wreckgar throws his G1 altmode bike at Bumblebee That's what hits and bounces off the Beef
this episode was just so cool
