Hooray it's not just me!! When I can't fix something, ANYTHING, it drives me nuts. Maybe I'll get on the support forums. Probably not though, it'll fix itself. I mean it broke itself, right? That's how the Internet machines work? Magic dust?

EDIT: Yeah, there are issues with the DailyMotions on the Rokus. :D

I find the roku is a bit of the wild west when it comes to apps. Also some apps behave differently on different models. We have an old HD2 (I think) and one of the new sticks. Netflix is different between the two. It's kinda buggy/crappy on the HD2 and very much how the app looks on the PS4/3.

I hear the Roku 3 works way better, but I just can't justify dropping $100 on one when we already have 2 HD2s and a stick. Besides, aren't TVs for game consoles anyway?

TVs ARE for game consoles! Unless they are a RokuTV, then they are for apps first, TV second, game consoles third

So I thought I was gonna sell OoT 3D and deleted my save file. Then I decided against it and now have the regrets :(

BTW, I edited my post above yours, they are having issues with DailyMotion.

Games carts/discs can be replaced, but you can never get that time back.

I held on to my PSone and PS2 memory cards for the longest time. I finally let them go as well. Still kinda regret it, even though I will never play those games again.

I haven't played OoT since the N64. It was a really good game until Bongo Bongo broke me. I defeated him out of spite and boxed the N64 up. Eventually I unboxed the system, but I've never went back to that game. Thems are my regrets... so, still interested in offloading that cart?

You sound like me, I still have my Dreamcast VMUs (which now have terrible battery life) and a few PSX and PS2 memory cards. I still have the Dreamcast and PSX, no PS2 anymore and never had the PS3/PS4..

If I let go of OoT3D (which I never played before I got it on 3DS), you'll get first dibs. If I don't play it within the next week I'll let you know..(starts playing while typing) oh dang I started a new quest. Man it is so much better on the *new* XL!!

MGS

Postby no-one » Wed Aug 12, 2015 7:42 am

Considering I threw out an open invite on the haul thread, I'll get the ball rolling.

Which game is your favorite and why?

Have you played Ground Zero?

Excited for Phantom Pain?

And what the hell is up with Konami and Kojima?

3, probably. Though mechanically I liked 2 better.

carytheone wrote:Have you played Ground Zero?

Unfortunately, yes, I shelled out full price for...that.

carytheone wrote:Excited for Phantom Pain?

Yes, actually.

carytheone wrote:And what the hell is up with Konami and Kojima?

Konami was going a little bit batshit crazy and a lot of major people at the studio had planned to leave. Kojima was just the most notable, and Konami made the most noise over it. Koji Igarashi has already left the company, and he's got a new game coming out. (Bloodstained, a spiritual successor to Castlevania, very intentionally the same way Mighty No. 9 is to Mega Man)

MGS1 & 4 are my jam. Probably would lean towards 1 just because of nostalgia. I haven't played it since it was new, so I wonder how well it holds up? 4 just seemed like a love letter to fans of the original.

I got Ground Zeroes for very cheap on sale and enjoyed it for what it was.

I'm a little surprised that I too am excited for Phantom Pain. I haven't been following it all that close, but I can't imagine I will be too surprised by it. Besides I'm waiting on a release date for No Man's Sky.

I know as much as I care to about the Kojima drama. I am a little bummed about Silent Hills though. I was all over the Bloodstained kickstarter until I saw the release date. I'll wait until release and when I learn more about the game before throwing money at them. I'm not to sure what to think about Inafune's projects. They just seemed to be riddled with odd issues.

Also, I've determined I'm going to wait for potential holiday sales of Xbox One or PS4 to determine the winner. I'm in no rush and have lots to sell before then :)

Tingle is there, it's different than it was on the GameCube. Having never played the GameCube version, I can't exactly explain how. I just know in every review I've read (after he popped up for whatever reason) that the GC used the GameBoy Advance as a Tingle-accessory or something and they didn't do it with the GamePad.

In the original version, you had to pay Tingle to decode maps to the pieces of the Triforce. And he always asked for prices that made it impossible to do multiple maps at once. In the WiiU version, only three maps need to be decoded, the rest are removed entirely, and you simply get the Triforce pieces in their place.

Tingle! I don't why that guy gets a bad rap.

The GBA feature was pretty doofy and I only used it once to see how it worked.

It allowed a second player to sorta interact with the map. I wanna say to find hidden money or something. It's been a long time.

Tingle was kinda creepy. Weird fairy boy stalker. :-P

I bought the Advance for that very reason, and was sorely disappointed. I don't know if I ever bought any other games for the advance, maybe I did.

Good thing Windwaker was such an awesome game without the GBA feature.

Hahaha, I was really worried someone might go the opposite way and post a windows stop error. That's close enough for me. I've installed XP to many times to get any enjoyment out of the install diddy.

Picked up Need for Speed Most Wanted U on the Wii U the other day, when I cancelled my XB1 Forza 6 Console pre-order. I then paid off my pre-order of Super Mario Maker as well! :-D

And right now I'm playing "Drift Spirits" on my iPhone. I miss Initial D in the arcade so much!! :-(
