Acesmcgee wrote:As a child I loved these toys and show, growing up in the G1 era. Watching the show meant time with Dad and the toys meant time with my imagination away from my 3 sisters. I kept my collection until I married 13 years ago, selling all but my G2 devy (KB Toys variant). He was broken by my closest friend accidentally while drunk.
My wife as thanks for a lot of sacrifices I made to all my collections to support my family purchased MP-10 as a birthday gift and supported my renewed collecting with the masterpiece and combiner wars line.
She put up with my childlike enthusiasm over the toys and engineering as compared to my G1 and G2 toy memories.
She let me play with my TFs and display them in our shared bedroom, right next to her crystals I bought her for her collecting wants.
She passed away a few months ago, and our 13th wedding anniversary would of been 9 days ago as of this post. This brand reminds me that someone loved me enough to let me be myself. It gives me a way to play with our children that lets me show them it's ok to play with toys as you get older if it is something you love.
I don't know what this brand means to all of you on this site, but if a woman as awesome as my wife could love and support me in this, then don't be afraid to enjoy yourself and your passions.
