The tail even serves a purpose in robot mode, as it's the sheath for his sword. ;)

Of course. If it work as storage for the dino mode, it work as storage in robot mode as well.

Still, it baffle me is that in no way the bot can wield that tail as a club. That's one hell of a design oversight.

It can, just insert the sword in and stick it on the hand.

Still no dual wielding unfortunately.

I just normally set my tail off to the side and let it stand as a action master Snarl-esque robot

So i found the Officer Class Optimus Prime at Ollies tonight, and decided to try him out once I realized how many joints he had and how he looked in hand.

And, he is good. Like, surprisingly good. First of all, he is very solid, this is a toy designed to be played with. He is also surprisingly posable: all the arm and leg joints you could want, he has ankles but no wrists mind you, and both of his heads are on swivels. So he can throw some moves.

He also has a nice design. I like the Cyberverse Prime design, and this one, like the deluxe, does a good job of capturing that look and those proportions. His base head is nice too. But then, that armor is well sculpted, and the super mode head is super awesome, I love Prime with extra faceplate details and a visor. I only wish there was some silver paint on the chest, but that is a minor thing for how good he is.

The chest armor also tabs into place, adding stability for the armor piece. Weapons are cool too, the shield design is neat, and I like a big ole sword.

So yeah, he is fantastic. Well worth the buy. He surprised me in the most pleasant way.

I really think we as a fandom have slept on Cyberverse not only as a show, but also with some of the toys. I for one had no idea this Officer Class Optimus would be this cool and this much fun, but he is. This is a great toy, and I love it. It is very fun and very good.

I have the first Ultimate with the annoying chest gimmick and the one with the Ark armor as far as the really big Primes go, they're both pretty neat in their own ways. I almost bought that one when I saw it on clearance a few weeks ago, but thought I had enough big Cyberverse Primes, but now your pictures make me think I really should get it sometime.

You really should. This one is very posable, very chunky, and both head sculpts can move and look good. This is a very solid leader sized figure

This Optimus toy really didn't last long in stores. I might have seen him just once.

For a second, I thought you had gotten an EarthSpark Optimus toy early.

I didn't see it until it showed up at Ollies a month or 2 ago. No regrets though

You also had a good deal at that place so any "regrets" are about impossible.

Also, how's the vehicle mode?

He does have an impressive size to him, coupled with his posability and the gimmick, which doesn't really get in the way while also adding some cool features to the mix.
