I do! Whenever I think of translating characters which can transform and/or combine into anything into actual toys, like Amalgamous Prime, Nexus Prime, Shifters or the Ammonites, this is the kind of approach and engineering I think should be taken (well, this mixed with Construct-Bots and the Japanese exclusive Trans-Scanning, to be more exact).

Kinda, but not really. From what I can tell glancing at their Wikipedia entry and
baltmatrix' list of reviews, they're basically a set of parts that can attach to one or more cores to create different configurations. The core itself can vary from the basic Mugenroids - a basic cube or other geometrical shape which can be transformed into different configurations - to the gimmick-centric Turboroids - cores with pre-built wheels for their own vehicle modes - Mugen or Tornado Engines - cores with spinning gear mechanisms - and Buildroids - cores which are themselves robots that can be diassembled into parts and are piloted by a Diaclone-esque Roider figure.
