This honestly caught me off guard so much to the fact that I rewound it 3 times before I started watching the first episode. And I really like what I am seeing in the show so far too.
Honestly, I didn't even know about this show, because I didn't see the Suicide squad movie, nor do I care about Cena. But this intro is making me want to see how goofy the 1st episode is.

It's goofy.
The only thing that could make the Peacemaker character any more goofier would be for him to appear at the Royal Rumble in two weeks.

It would be like Mr. America 2.0.

How many takes do you think they had to go through to get this?

S1 is done and S2 has been announced.
This was far more enjoyable than I expected. A DC show with John Cena and a bunch of DC characters no one really cares about? It shouldn't have worked, but it did.
It worked well. Really well. Easily one of the best comic based TV shows we've had.
And then there was that other DC team appearance ... "**** you Barry"

James Gunn worked his magic once more on this show.
I liked the bit where Peacemaker tried to climb down the outside of an apartment block. Batman could've reached the ground in a few seconds but Peacemaker took a few minutes and nearly crippled himself. He was carrying a duvet full of miscellaneous possessions, though. It slowed him down. Also, he was trying to avoid the police, who were watching the building.
Peacemaker loves hair metal and lives in a trailer park. We haven't seen his gym yet (or wherever he works out). Muscles like that don't appear without strenuous exercise.
