Do you collect other toys besides Transformers? Maybe you've got a Masters of the Universe collection you'd like to show off, or maybe you like Thundercats, Voltron, G.I.Joe, Power Rangers, Star Wars, Wrestling, or any of the various comic book toy lines. Please keep the discussions here to non-Transformers toy lines.
So I've been meaning to make a thread for this for a while, but I figured I should have more to showcase than a couple of things.
Do any of you know about, or remember Robo Force? If you don't, here's a quick video from the 80's!
They were a toyline from the 80's that's mostly been forgotten about these days. There was also a single episode for a cartoon series released called Robo Force: The Revenge of Nazgar (it was on youtube, but I can't seem to find it now). They toys had a lever in the back to make their arms open and close, as well as a suction cup on the bottom to stick them to walls and ceilings and such. They also had small weapons and things that stored in their chests.
Now, Robo Force has been brought back by John Kent as a glyos compatible toyline! I've been buying into it since last year, and I've not been disappointed in what I've gotten at all! Sadly, I missed a lot of things like a flat grey set, red metallic, blue and red, and even a glow in the dark set!
These are the sets I've collected from them so far. I plan on getting more of these guys too!
Each figure is made out of 41 durable PVC plastic components (53 for deluxe figures). Each set can be broken down and reconfigured into whatever you want them to look like. They're also compatible with other Glyos figures from companies like Onell Design, Planet Banimon, The God Beast, Spy Monkey Creations, The Four Horsemen, and 481 Universe. They're great building sets, and fun desk toys for people with idle hands.
Right now Toyfinity are starting up a subscription club called Club Zeton. As part of the club fee of $75, you get the following:
- exclusive Imperious Maxx figure, who uses the Ultimate paint applications. - two lenticular stickers that replicate the original Maxx Steele chest stickers. - the Mystery Maxx Modules, a series of six packets mailed to you (at no additional shipping charge), with which you can create Mystery Maxx - or upgrade your existing Force members. - a classic membership packet including a welcome message from Maxx Zero, membership certificate, and a membership card. - a mystery partner figure to assist Imperious Maxx in his reign of terror - from the Glyos System! - and a "test shot" of an upcoming all-new Toyfinity figure from the Zetonian franchises (Zeroids, S.T.A.R. Team, and Robo Force). This test shot could be unique if anything changes during the production phase.
In addition to the above, members will receive discounts on unpainted editions, be able to vote on tough deco questions I run into, add or subtract detail lines from editions, and access to a social media account showing early design work on new figures and other secret Robo Force information.
Currently there are about 26 or 25 membership slots open! If you're at all interested in Robo Force, Club Zeton, or any other of Toyfinity's current or future offerings, check out the store at http://toyfinity.blogspot.ca/ ! Memberships close this Saturday, February 28th! So if you want in on it, and you have extra cash floating around, give it a try!
Also, to check out what other people are able to do with their Robo Force sets, go to the October Toys forums and look up the Roboforce Returns thread! http://www.octobertoys.com/forum/
A bit more on the Club Zeton exclusives. John Kent had posted a photo shopped mockup of what he intends the Imperious Maxx figure will look like.
The tan on it will be more of a molded metallic copper/gold colour with the rest of the colour being paint applications.
The other exclusive was teased to us earlier this week as being a cross-exclusive from the company Onell Design, of a character they released to coincide with the glyos-compatible Skeleton Warriors toys, being made by October Toys. The exclusive was called Skeleden.
These pics show what Skeleden actually looked like when he was released. Assumedly, it's going to have different colours. Maybe colours that will be more in line with Imperious Maxx's colours, maybe not!
Eight more membership slots left! Just to clarify, the $75 membership fee doesn't give you access to purchase the four exclusive figures, it GIVES you the four exclusive figures! However the club ALSO gives access to purchase club exclusive figures/recolours, as well as a few discounts!
Just tonight, John Kent announced that a fifth exclusive figure is also going to be included in the club packet! This figure is from yet another producer of Glyos figures, Rawshark Studios! They produce a skeletal type of Glyos figure called Callgrim!
No word yet on what the special edition figure will look like, but knowing what they produce, I can't say that my pants are dry!
To recap:
The $75 club membership fee gets you
- exclusive Imperious Maxx figure, who uses the Ultimate paint applications. - and a special edition figure from Rawshark Studios' Callgrim toyline!
There's just today and tomorrow to sign up! Only eight more slots left! Let's get this going!
The deadline for Club Zeton memberships is midnight tonight (12:00am EST)! Also, I was just corrected that the 100 member goal isn't a limit, it's a minimum requirement. So anytime I said that there were only a certain number of slots open... yeah I was wrong, the more members the better! So join in!
And that's it! Club Zeton subscriptions are closed! John Kent has informed me and the other club members that we've been fully funded!

Thanks for the contribution! I dunno if any other Seibertronians got in on the club, but if they did then I thank them as well! No word on when we'll be getting our club exclusives mailed to us yet, but I'm positive that it will be well worth the wait!
