A worthy competitor to the Nemesis itself, the Semper Tyrannis is the flagship of the 2nd Expansion fleet for many reasons, not the least of which is its imposing commanding officer, the Decepticon warlord Scorponok.

This gigantic battleship has wrought galactic terror in many regions across the known universe. It is a functional representation of Megatron's motto "Peace through Tyranny". After the Tyrannis has passed through a system, there is little in the way of resistance. Peace comes naturally.

Having led Scorponok's fleet victorously through their last three campaigns; Nebulos, Garrus-9 and the assault upon Jhiaxus' stronghold in LV-117 - the Semper Tyrannis and its crew are now in a rare reprieve between seemingly endless series of battles but knowing the mighty vessel's master; not for long.

Scorponok’s private quarters

He didn’t have long, Scorponok knew it very well but had he not earned it? A moment of peace. An occasion of tranquillity. A chance for meditation, an escape away from the madness that his life had become.

After several painstaking years of careful planning and deception he had achieved something nearly unheard of ever since the total war phase of the Great War where Megatron and Optimus Prime had led their forces from hypercognizance shells at the height of their power in terms of troops, equipment and territory – a major victory. He had brought his most staunch adversary to his knees. In all likelihood his victory over Fortress Maximus had shifted the balance of power irreversibly towards an inevitable Decepticon victory. He should have been happy. Ecstatic. And yet… he was not.

At what cost? At what cost they had achieved it? Had it all been too late? Millions of their kin had sacrificed their lives for the cause. Hundreds of worlds had burned because of their war. And the Cybertronians themselves, both Autobots and Decepticons – they had become monsters. He had become a monster. And Megatron? Megatron had become something even worse. And yet, was this not what he had fought so hard for? Means to an end. A chance to end a war fought for 80,000 vorns. A war that should have never been needed. A war that had become a necessity to end the caste-ridden social apartheid of the functionalism.

Scorponok lied down on his personal recharge station, designed to fit a giant of his stature while providing enough protection for him to survive a potential attack on his life during his recharge cycle. Something he undoubtedly were forced to take in consideration for the rest of his life even if the Decepticons were to be victorious. There would always be dissent towards those in charge and no one – not even someone as powerful as he was – was untouchable.

Staring at super reinforced see through polycarbonite cover that closed over him, Scorponok couldn’t avoid reminiscing his past actions. He should have killed Fortress Maximus. Jhiaxus as well. Why hadn’t he? Both were threats towards the Decepticon victory he so yearned for. And yet, particularly in case of Fortress Maximus – he couldn’t do it. It wasn’t about humiliating the Autobot like had led his nemesis to believe. Nor it was about saving the decision for Megatron. No. He was afraid. Afraid of losing what remained of the idealist whom had joined the Decepticons to fight the injustice of Nominus Prime’s Cybertron. Afraid of losing himself to this monster he had become to achieve his goal.

Primus forgive me. He had done what he had to. And he was going to see this through. There was no room for self doubt. Not now. Not after everything he had sacrificed.

Shuttle en Route to the Semper Tyrannus

Upon receiving Reflector's acknowledgement of his request, Bludgeon then turned his attention to those gathered around. One particular issue was playing around in his processor.

"Why didn't Bomb Burst show the usual signs of low energon?" He asked bluntly.

---

All optics went to Nightbird. She felt the weight of that, but didn't show signs of being uncomfortable. However, she was unable to answer with her lack of a voice. So she leaned over Bomb Burst's unconscious self as she knew he would have what she needed... He always did. And he did.
She took his data pad out of the compartment on his hip he always kept it in so she could type her answer to Bludgeon.

'I have been working with him on impulse control. He's been better at staying focused when things are out of control lately. Possibly the situation with all of us there and all going on he was too focused on us rather than himself.' she typed then held it up for them to see.

--

Bludgeon nodded. The Vampire usually was too self centered to bother with putting others first... But... Stranger things have happened with that mech.

As the shuttle landed in the Semper Tyrannis' hangar, he stood. His underlings all remaining seated until he would give them permission to move. He looked over the team of what one might call thugs.

"Snarler, carry the Vampire to med bay, Carnivac, assist Nightbird."

---

Both Carnivac and Nightbird looked like they wanted to protest. However, Nightbird couldn't type fast enough missing a hand. Carnivac, though, could protest.

"She doesn't look the type to need help." He said. Nightbird nodded vigorously in agreement.

---

"She isn't." Bludgeon said as his intense glare falling on the cyber-wolf. "You can carry her arm."

--

"Yes Commander." Carnivac relented. He knew better than to argue with Bludgeon. That was a no win situation... At least no win for him.

He took Nightbird's arm when she reluctantly handed it to him and was in motion behind the others as the shuttle doors opened and Bludgeon began walking out, before any others on the shuttle could disembark. Snarler at Bludgeon's heels, Skullgrin, Bugly, then, Carnivac and Nightbird right behind them.
--

Bludgeon always seem to walk with purpose... With confidence that was impossible to miss. Often the lower rank and file tended to unconsciously move out of his way as he walked towards them, his warrior's reputation proceeding him.

This was the case as they moved through the corridors of the Semper Tyrannis.

Nightbird felt incredibly out of place at the moment. Accustomed to trailing a half step behind Bomb Burst, or being right next to him, neither intending to attract attention, it seemed as if Bludgeon wanted to be seen.

And she was surrounded by strangers. Though she had heard many accounts of their adventures and missions, she had never actually met any of them. Even when Skullgrin, Iguanus, and Bugly had all been with she and Bomb Burst on the Nebulous mission. Bomb Burst had mastered compartmentalizing his life, and she never crossed into this one until now. She was now surrounded by mechs who knew him as well she knew him, but knew nothing of her.

She did manage to type a quick message for Carnivac on Bomb Burst's data pad when they were paused in the corridor just before arriving at the med bay.

'Thank you, Carnivac.' she typed, showing it to him.

--

Carnivac smiled slightly >>'No problem.'<< he didn't dare reply out loud in case Bludgeon was in a 'mood'. >> 'I might need your help more than you need mine. I've never been on this ship.'<<

-

'You've never been on the Semper Tyrannus?' she typed out.

--

>>'You spelled Tyrannis wrong. An I not a u_<<

--

Scraaaaap She thought slumping her shoulders. All this time she had it in her processor it was spelled with a u.

--

Carnivac smiled slightly. Just slightly. >>'And no, I haven't.'<< He replied.

--

Bludgeon was suddenly in motion again, entering the med bay.

As expected, a med berth and the necessary equipment was at the ready. He motioned for Snarler to set Bomb Burst down, a whisp of corroded dust from what was his armor floated up. Iguanus approached from further back in the med bay.

A technician approached, noting the lack of energon in the Vampire. Though looked perplexed by the need for an external pump.

"Just filling his tank will not work. It needs to circulate." Bludgeon informed the tech in a clipped tone. "LV117's acid rain stripped his armor and got in his systems. Clean him up and repair any damage. And do it before he wakes."

Then the Metallikato Master's attention went to Nightbird. He signalled for another technician to come over.

"Nightbird sit." He ordered motioning to the next berth which was also emptied prior to their arrival.

He looked at the technician though. "Replace her arm. Her entire arm, not just a patch job." He ordered. "Make sure her armor is sound and repair where it was damaged. Nightbird will be in peak condition when you are done."

The technician nodded and possibly said yes, though Bludgeon had stopped paying attention to him.

"Please tell me Bomb Burst brought a 'toy' or two aboard." He addressed them all, figuring Nightbird knew more than any of the others, however he left it open just in case.

--

Nightbird resisted squirming away from the technician as he quickly removed what remained of her arm and disappeared. But she turned her attention to Bludgeon at his question and nodded.

---

"I assume he has it stored in the usual place." Bludgeon remarked.

--

Nightbird's brow knitted a bit. She got back out the data pad and set it on the berth so she could type.

'In cargo bay.' she typed.

--

Bludgeon looked to Carnivac. "Go retrieve it." He ordered. "You know his hiding places well enough... Snarler, Bugly, go with him. Get the organic coating off yourselves too."

--

The three disappeared from the med bay instantly. There was no telling when Bomb Burst would regain consciousness, and he would likely attack the first Cybertronian he saw. They did not want any Decepticons to be that target.

Skullgrin also disappeared to get the coating off of him.

Carnivac stopped a bit outside of the med bay. "I just had a fantastic idea." He said with a sly grin. "We still are due to celebrate, right? Let's get Batty drunk too."

--

Bugly looked at Carnivac in disbelief, but said nothing at first. "Let's do it." He finally said. "I'll get the energon, you two locate the toys."

Bugly veered off towards the bar, Snarler and Carnivac went to the cargo bay to retrieve the Autobots that Bomb Burst had captured a long time ago and used to refuel himself. They would replace the energon so that when Bomb Burst was awake, he'd be getting drunk as well.

---

While only Iguanus was present, Bludgeon's attention turned fully to the spy of the group.

He looked Nightbird in the optics for a few seconds. "I accept." He finally said.

Nightbird looked at him perplexed.

"On Garrus 9, you offered your sword. I accept." He elaborated. "You have proved to be worthy."

--

'I don't understand.' Nightbird typed. 'The mission was uneventful.'

--

"Your fight with Punch." Bludgeon explained and Nightbird shook her head.

--

'That went horribly' she typed.

--

"No. It went very well." Bludgeon corrected. "You were at an extreme disadvantage. Your fighting style is not suited to mid air. You performed well under those circumstances."

--

Nightbird let down her mask revealing her entire face. She felt it disrespectful to hide her face at the moment. However, she showed no emotion on her face.

'Thank you, Master Bludgeon.' She typed. 'Once my voice is returned I will thank you properly.'

Bludgeon simply nodded.

With one body left on the bridge and one having just departed the medical bay after ensuring everything was ready for the influx of injured that left one to oversee the preparations for Lord Scorponok's triumph.

The Autobot prisoners had been transported from the surface and chained at various places around the room, some in cages and some chained to the floor. Various stands had been set up where instantly recognizable, glowing pink liquid sat waiting to be consumed.

It was a venue for war, converted--at least for a short time--into a venue for celebration.

Reflector looked around, grinning. All was in readiness. He prepared a fleetwide comm.

Reflector's communication stole Bludgeon's attention from the state of his assassins.

Bomb Burst was in no position to be attending, but the rest of them were.

His amber optics met Nightbird's own amber optics. The technician was returning with an arm for her, completely armored and ready to go. The medical drones were taking care of her armor, repairing the damage done by Punch and the acid rain. He looked at the medical monitors, she wouldn't take too long to repair.

"Nightbird." He finally said. "Once you are repaired you will join us on the observation deck."

Then his attention went to the technician attending to Bomb Burst. "Secure him." He ordered. "As you would a prisoner. When he comes online he will be desperate for energon and violent. And the first mech he sees he will try to drain of it's energon. Carnivac will be bringing an Autobot Bomb Burst keeps to refuel on." The technician nodded and went about securing the Vampire. >>"Carnivac, Lord Scorponok has requested our presence..."<<

---

Bugly had just arrived at the cargo bay, and he and Carnivac were replacing the energon in the stasis locked Autobot Bomb Burst had hidden in the cargo bay when Bludgeon commed Carnivac.

>>"We hears. On our way with the Autobot."<< Carnivac replied as he dumped in the Autobot the last of the energon. He was now questioning if this was a good idea, however they didn't have enough time to switch the energon back. He closed up the Autobot's fuel port. "You carry him, Snarler." He said.

Snarler complied without a word and they set off for the med bay.

When they reached the med bay, Skullgrin had returned, Nightbird was enduring a technician poking around her vocalizer, and Iguanus was looming in the background.

Snarler unceremoniously dropped the Autobot near Bomb Burst's berth.

---

Bludgeon regarded the unconscious Autobot for a moment. Optics went back to the technician, but he never said anything to him. Simple turned and left the med bay, Snarler, Carnivac, Bugly, Skullgrin, and Iguanus following him.

Nightbird waved, a playful smirk showing, as the others left.

--

Shortly after leaving the med bay, Bludgeon entered the observation deck.

Apeface slouched idly on seat with a nice view through the observation deck windows while mostly staying out of Reflector’s and his cronies’ way as they set up their fancy drinking stands for the celebration Cyclonus had been arranging. Mostly. He just couldn’t help himself. Having transported Jhiaxus and his slow cell into the most secure containment zone on the whole glitching dreadnought, Apeface and Snapdragon had made their way to the Observation Deck just because they had been privy to Scorponok telling Cyclonus to arrange a celebration. And where else an imagination challenged bore like ol’ Cyc would have arranged it? Well, hangar sure but it was pretty packed with all the shuttles and spoils of war being stored there for a time being. Not that everyone was going to fit the Observation Deck in the first place but the Horrorcon doubtled it was the issue. The ship had room for the rank and file elsewhere too. But had Cyclonus and his personal assistant Reflector taken in consideration certain members of their crew with voracious appetites and little tolerance to invasion of their personal space.

”I hope you know what you are doing ’Fleccy.” He chuckled, reaching out to grab another container of energon from a passing by vehicon. ”Unless you arranged Hun-Gurrr and his boys a feast in their lair this little party is going to backfire on you so badly, heh.”

Docking Bay

Lockdown powered down The Death’s Head’s systems, leaving the ship’s computer on to evaluate and activate any systems it deemed fit in the event one of Scorponok’s minions decided to delve a little deeper than they should. Not that he didn’t trust them more or less than anyone else. He simply didn’t trust anyone.

One tends to live longer with that mindset, he thought absentlyas he finished his preparations. Though things hadn’t turned out as he’d envisioned, he was pleased with being resupplied. It was a large universe out there, and there were fewer than expected ways to replenish spent energon. Some were grizly enough even he didn’t like to think about, though that wouldn’t stop him if it came to it. It hadn’t previously.

With his tasks completed, he headed for the aft ramp where he would inform the supply mech what he needed and where it should go. He didn’t intend to take more than he needed, but he knew better than to leave with less than promised. Doing so was an acceptance of being shortchanged, and was nearly as debilitating to a bounty hunter’s reputation as not finishing the job.

Jhiaxus. His failure had a name and Lockdown growled to himself as the name came to the fore of his processor. While the odds were against him succeeding, he’d expected to at least lay a hook on the mech. Instead, he came away needing an oil bath and a dent to his reputation. Mistakes were made by him, there was no denying that, and he intended to correct those in the future. Maybe hunt down an Autobot or two.

Now that brought a smile to his faceplate as he pressed the control to lower the aft ramp. He had made a deal with Fortress Maximus to inform others where he and his troops were. Lockdown hadnever mentioned who or in what condition those he told would be in.

Knowing each Decepticon warlord had their own list of enemies they’d love delivered to them gave Lockdown a slight edge. The trick was learning who was on whose list. With any luck, Scorponok would give him an assignment that didn’t include obeying his orders like his other mindless lackies.

Speaking of which, he thought as a supply mech approached him.

Before the mech could say a word, Lockdown handed him a datapad with the list of his requirements. At seeing the mech’s optics narrow, Lockdown said, “This has already been approved by Lord Scorponok. Unless you’d like to contact him to verify an energon refueling.” He said the final part in a lower, more threatening voice than normal. He hadn’t lied, but he also didn’t see the need to wait on a drone to double check everything. He’d already had enough of that with Reflector and Cyclonus.

How those two could exist as sycophants was beyond him, though he did understand the force behind Scorponok’s intimidation he wielded so well. It often made Lockdown wonder how Megatron kept control over those obviously more powerful than himself.

Fear and the DJD. The thought came unbidden, but it was the truth. The DJD embodied fear and power. Even he wasn’t one to draw their attention, though part of him would love to evade and hunt them down instead.

Pushing those thoughts aside, he studied the supply mech as it pondered what he’d said a moment before. Seeming to agree with Lockdown’s statement, the mech nodded.

“Resupply will commence immediately.

Who says good help is hard to find nowadays?

Reflector wrote: >>All non-essential ship personnel are hereby commanded to assemble on the Tyrannis' observation deck for this majestic triumph of our Lord Commander, Scorponok and his victory over Fortress Maximus. All hail Megatron!<<

Lockdown’s optics flared at the… invitation. In truth, he wasn’t sure which irritated him more: the message or the messager.

The supply mech turned his attention to Lockdown, who brushed him aside. “I know every micrometer of my ship. If there’s a scratch or anything missing when I return from the celebration…” He let the threat hang in the air as he sent a signal to his ship and the aft ramp closed.

“The energon port is over there,” he said, pointing to an accessport.

Without another word, he strode past the mech and toward the corridor. He wasn’t looking forward to this, but there were times when making nice was better than not. He just hoped he wouldn’t regret this.

Icepick was, to his great surprise, the first of the Monstercons to arrive in the celebratory hall where Lord Scorponok's triumph would take place. Had he felt the way he had been feeling down in the surface of LV-117, he might have tried to find a way to skip the affair altogether. But he had to admit, his chat with Mindwipe on the way back to the ship had helped.

More than he figured it would've.

Of course, he was not blind to the mech's name and obvious function. But even so, given the deep sense of dread he had been experience before that threatened to consume his every conscious thought....that couldn't be wiped away by simple hypnotism, or whatever psychological chicanery Mindwipe practiced....could it? He hoped not. Regardless, his mood felt improved and, thus, a celebration with their fleet commander felt more than apropos.

Inside the room, energon of various kind flowed like tranquil rivers inbetween various receptacles where mechs could partake. Through the massive windows, the vast expanse of space stretched out into infinity. It felt like.....it felt like a taste of what Megatron was promising they were fighting for. He'd heard so many stories about "Towards Peace" while having been imprisoned on Garrus-9 and had even managed to read a few passages that had been smuggled inside at various points. Whatever that "peace" was, this felt like it.

Grinning, he walked over to one of the receptacles where a Vehicon stood nearby.

"I have double filtered on hand. And you can customize your own blend at this station."
___

Various mechanoids were gradually beginning to filter in. It had not taken long, though he had little doubts that it would. These mechs had been starved of a solid top-off of their energy levels for a good while. Add to that the fact that they could ingest to their spark's content? He was honestly surprised there hadn't been a stampede.

”I hope you know what you are doing ’Fleccy. Unless you arranged Hun-Gurrr and his boys a feast in their lair this little party is going to backfire on you so badly, heh.”

Reflector cast a sideways glance at the Horrorcon, taking a cylinder of energon from the passing Vehicon for himself. He took a sip. Mmmm. That was the stuff.

"This is hardly my function, but I was tasked it by Vice Commander Cyclonus, so I obey. As do we all. As for the Terrorcons, well, they and the others would do well to remember Lord Scorponok's expectations for his forces. A bit of revelry? Certainly. But we both know that anyone who crosses that invisible line into chaos will be sharing the brig with our Autobot prisoners....provided they're not strung up here, first."

That being said, Reflector supposed it wouldn't hurt to have a selection of energon fineries sent to the Terrorcons' quarters. As the Horrorcon had suggested, a little pre-celebratory feast could go a long way to quelling their notoriously murderous appetites.

He assigned a small team of Vehicons accordingly.
___

"And then *POW*, that monster thing came crashing down right where I'd been standing not even a nanoklik before!" the tan-and-blue Seeker said to his squadmates.

"That was insane!" another chortled as Overbite came up just a few steps behind.

"'Scuse me, fellas," the Seacon grunted. Free energon? Overbite was there.

Tentakil smirked at his fellow comrade Overbite, who was ready to guzzle down Energon at a moment’s notice. “Aye, Overbite, you still chug down Energon like it’s shrimp on your plate.” He saw that he was conversing with some others about the large beast they had battled. “That’s true,” he added to the story, “Some giant lizard nonsense that was! And the size of that one underwater was fairly large too!”

The demolitionist winked and lightly elbowed his comrade who had starred in Jaws. “I think Overbite here found some new love on that planet.”

The insecticon commando felt quite pleased with the way things were going. He just took part in a feast, and now there was Energon to go on top of it? Frag yeah. Ransack looked over at some of his other fellow bugs as well as just the other Cons in general. So many of them. Nice. He downed a canister of Engex and proceeded to go for a second one.

Motto: "Feed them to the Sharkticons!"
Observation Deck

Stumping into the observation deck with the sort of surly belligerence that suggested long habit more than genuine irritation, Scowl surveyed the assembled Decepticons at a glance, keen audio sensors easily capturing their various inane conversations, then immediately gravitated toward the nearest familiar faceplate. The Monstercon sonic saboteur planted himself next to Icepick, folding his arms over his blocky chest armor and glowering at the assembly. He kept an especially suspicious optic out for that “counselor”, Mindwipe. The way Scorponok and his senior staff were trying to cram that oily, bat-winged con-mech up their collective tailpipes, ostensibly for the sake of helping them, made Scowl angry enough to chew the hull plating.

Helping. HA. Scorponok just didn't want his newest toy compromised by the trauma suffered by its component parts when he invoked it. And it was like an invocation, in Scowl's mind. Of that monster Jhiaxus had turned the six of them into. Thank Primus he had no concrete recollection of their time as Monstructor—what it had done, what it had made them do as its hands, its feet. Its body. Scowl was not a mechanoid easily rattled, but he had a feeling even he would have difficulty existing if he were saddled with that creature's actual memories.

Still, there were occasional … flashes. Glitches in his memory subroutines—almost-memories. Impressions. But those were enough to put Scowl on edge. And keep him there.

He offered Icepick a nod of acknowledgment, and a synthesized grunt from his vocalizer. Beyond that, Scowl saw no particular reason to speak, just then. He simply went on taking in the ambient sounds around him, from the quiet discussions at the far end of the observation deck to the pulse of coolant through the skyscraper-sized engines on the opposite side of the Tyrannis. It gave him something to keep his cerebro-circuitry occupied while he waited for this … celebration … to conclude.

The Observation Deck was quickly filling up, Bludgeon was silently taking note of all who were present. Meanwhile, his crew were begining to get restless, with the exception of Skullgrin who was unhappy to be there and did not want to participate.

Without looking at them, the Metallikato Master simply said, "go", and the motley crew was in motion, except Skullgrin, who only started moving after a sidelong glare from Bludgeon.

"Come on Skully." Carnivac muttered as he began bee-lining for the Nightmare Fuel station. The disarming grin was full force on his face plate this was exactly what he had set out to do today... Get drunk with the old gang... And not only was he getting his wish, but it was now coming for free. No mooching credits off of Bomb Burst (always a good thing). "I spent far too long couped up in that prison to pass by free Nightmare Fuel."

He reached the station and poured himself a tall cylinder of the liquid. Taking a moment to appreciate it, he looked up to his comrades. "Since Bomb Burst isn't here to provide us with a subject for a drinking game, Bludgeon will have to do. Every time Bludgeon scowls, everyone take a drink. A decent drink, Bugly, not a protoform sip."

---

"Bludgeon's face plate is in a permanent scowl." Iguanus pointed out securing his own container of fuel. "Better off with any time he glares we take a drink. We'll still be getting drunk quickly, just not as quickly."

---

"Oh good point." Carnivac agreed and handed Snarler some Nightmare Fuel then forced Skullgrin to take some too. "Before we start... To the Mayhem Attack Squad." He raised his glass at the toast, the others doing the same then downing their drinks. "Now... What trouble can we find?"

---

>>"Stay out of trouble."<< Bludgeon cautioned over the team comm.

--

"Does that count as glare?" Bugly asked, Carnivac nodded, and they downed some more Nightmare Fuel.

Med Bay

Nightbird sat impatiently on her medical berth, enduring the poking and prodding of the medical staff and drones. She was not happy, so she kept an optic on Bomb Burst's monitors to distract herself. He had been out longer than usual. She could only guess he was in need of rest as the assassin was much more accustomed to a more solitary existence, without constant interaction with others.

The medical staff had fixed her optic's lens that Punch had destroyed and sured up the bits of her armor that had gotten damaged between the acid rain and the fight with Punch. It now just her vocal emitter that was needing repaired, and the medical staff was having some sort of issue with that.

Damn Punch. She would pay that scraplet back for this.

As she watched Bomb Burst's monitors she mulled over the question as to why Bonzai-Tron allowed an Autobot within his ranks. She never had dealt with the DSS head, so she only knew superficial knowledge of him. But it seemed so risky to her.

She frowned. 'not mine to question.' she reminded herself. Certainly many questioned her methods.

"Is your damaged vocal processor the original one?" The technician that had been prodding at her emitter suddenly asked.

She gave him a harsh look. He was preventing her from typing on the data pad... And hello!? Emitter wasn't working!

However, she just shook her head a bit.

He removed the entire vocal emitter, Nightbird frowning even more seeing him do that, then ran a scanner over it. "We will have to figure out how to build you a new one." He said closing up the panel on her neck plating. "I'm guessing you weren't built with one."

'Thats the understatement of the millennium.' she mused to herself.

"Not sure how you got one in the end..." The technician said as he stepped back a bit.

'I stole it from a senator I killed.' she typed on the data pad and held it up to the technician then, after a moment, smirked at him.

The technician disappeared from view without another word and Nightbird went back to her monitoring monitors.

Mandatory celebration, indeed, Slog thought as he stepped through the doors and into the spacious room. He knew he should’ve been among the first to arrive given his status as leader of the Monstercons, but he needed more time to clear his processor and a short walk around the ship had helped somewhat. Not as much as ripping Jhiaxus to pieces, but it would have to suffice for the moment.

While he didn’t mind celebrating he and his Monstercons living to fight another day, the fact they were also celebrating Scorponok’s victory was something else entirely.

But given everything, Slog knew how important it was for them to attend. He hoped his Monstercons enjoyed themselves, they deserved this more than any mech in the room given what they’d been through.

He paused and looked back and forth, searching for any of his team that had made it that weren’t enroute or in the medical bay. He spotted Icepick and Scowl and turned to head their way. He had little doubt they wanted to be alone with their thoughts, but he couldn’t shake Icepick’s reation following their combining.

That was his failure. He needed to be there for them, to help them when they had problems when joining. The problem was, he didn’t know how to do that.

As he approached the bar, he rested a hand on Scowl and Icepick’s shoulders as he passed them, conveying his support with a brief nod as he took a place next to them. “The strongest engex you’ve got. We have a celebration on hand, do we not?”

Turning to his team members, he said, “The true test of one’s strength comes in how they handle difficult situations. There is no one prouder of you all than me.”

The bartending bot set his drink in front of him, and with a casual motion, Slog picked it up and gave a brief salute. “To strength through suffering.” He downed the entire glass and motioned for another. Getting over-energized wasn’t his way, and this one would last the rest of the night.

Lockdown had somehow been one of the first to arrive. That wasn’t what he’d intended. He wanted to be the first once the message was announced, but this wasn’t his cycle.

But he did see someone that had earned a special place on his wall, well, three places, actually. He studied Reflector in between taking in the rest of the room and the mechs milling about. Each had their own reasons for being here, but he was more interested in gauging the support Scorponok and his staf had among their warriors. Not that he was planning a coup or anything, but one thing that paid better than physical delivery was information. It was the one thing he felt this situation had taught him.

Not that he intended to stop his life as a bounty hunter; oh no, that would never happen. He got too much enjoyment out of the hunt. That was what had piqued his interest in Reflector. As the hub of communication and information in Scorponok’s fleet, he bore special study. While he was no wherenear the caliber of Soundwave — Lockdown respected him — Reflector still had his uses. As much as a sycophant had.

Such as having one like Bludgeon to chat with. Interesting, he thought with a slight smile.

Lockdown sipped his drink and shifted his attention to a few of the others. Tantakill and Overbite of the Seacons, he believed, were good representatives of the type of ferocity Scorponok commanded. So many different ones to study, to learn their habits. One never knew when such information could come in handy, and he intended to have copious amounts of such information in addition to his other objective.

~~~ :CON: ~~~
Corridors/Observation Deck
Cutthroat strode through the middle of the Semper Tyranis corridors, trailing bit of burned flesh and oil from Hun-Grrr’s earlier punbishment, daring any mech to get in his way. His joints still creaked and ached from his leader’s flames, but he and Sinnertwin had survived what many others hadn’t. Add to that the burns from LV-117 on his damaged metallic skin, and he felt dealing with the annoyance of pain was more than worth showing this slight indescrestion toward Hun-Grrr. Let others concern themselves with their appearance. Cutthroat enjoyed the smell of the others’ fear at seeing him too much.
It was also important to note that being ordered to report to the observation deck had nothing to do with him actually heading there. The fact it was an order from Scorponok, and Scorponok outranked Hun-Grrr that helped him decide on joining the celebration without complaining.
Not that he intended on rubbing into his leader’s multiple sensor units. He just preferred to follow orders. This time.
Old habits were hard to break, though, and Cutthroat saw no need in doing so now. Besides, over energized mechs meant tasty mechs. Whether they were Decepticon or not didn’t matter.
With a hissing laugh, he stepped through the doors and into the observation deck. Mechs closest to the door turned and stared at him, seemingly unsure what to say or do, before deciding moving away was in their best interest.
Cutthroat turned his head left to right, the rough edges of his skin creaking as it gratted against his neckskin. He hoped the sound was as terrifying to those near him as it was annoying to him. His optics narrowed as he spotted the energon bar, and headed that way. A mech had to refuel at some point, and he saw no reason not to have some fun while doing so.
As he reached the bar, he grabbed an energon contained from the outstretched hand of a Seeker, grabbed the mech by its shoulder, and tossed it backwards. “Thank you for your assistance,” he said, hissing-laughing as the mech bounced into another, sending them both to the floor.
Holding up the container, Cutthroat turned to the Monstercons in attendance and offered, “To battlefield conquests,” and downed the contain in a single gulp. Setting it on the counter, he snatched another from the serving droid.
Who would’ve thought obeying orders would be so much fun? The best part was it was just beginning.
After offloading Jhiaxus’ wares, Snaptrap and the other Seacons so found themselves in the observation deck where all the other Decepticons were summoned to celebrate Lord Scorponok’s victory. Seems like only yesterday he had launched his campaign against Nebulos. Though he hid it well behind his mouthplate and constant stern expression, Snaptrap was rather pleased with the effectiveness of this entire operation. Minimal casualties coupled by the various advances in the war engine despite the few setbacks that occurred. Absolute efficiency.
The Seacon commander didn’t bother grabbing one of the various drinks being dished out during the celebration. Though he may have earned the rest, there was still more conflict to come and he didn’t feel like inebriating himself. Let his Seacons celebrate this victory, they’ve more than earned it. Snaptrap would just find his own way to celebrate the good news.
-
“Aye, if ye’never believed in love at first sight before, you would after seeing the spark-filled gaze Overbite was giving that beast!” Octopunch chimed in with the other Aquatic warriors, nudging them all with his tentacles.
-
Snapdragon stared down into the stein-shaped container of his 3rd refill of high grade Energon. While everyone was slowly trickling in to the observation deck and conversing with one another, he felt as though no one was really celebrating.
“Backfire? This is barely a party.” Snapdragon grumbled, adding himself to Apeface and Reflector’s conversation. “Did we just not win not one, not two, but THREE different operations?! Look around! Why are we not cheering?! Where’s the boasts? If I knew this was gonna be a Autobot-level get together, I would’ve just gone down to the oil reservoirs and took a dip.”
Bridge
Closing his datapad with the latest victory being entered into his logs, Finback set about getting the Tyrannis ready for departure. Redirecting power from the unused weapon systems to the engines in preparation to depart.
“Go on Reflector,” the crusty old sailor wheezed as his life support machine’s external armatures waved his general direction, “Go join yer other selves and have a drink fer me. I’ve got t’ings under control up’ere. We’ve earned the chance to celebrate a little while! Agheheh.”
Apeface gave Snapdragon a carefree shrug as his partner in crime began to rev his engine up.
”You know we did,” he chuckled. ”Been just waiting on you to kick up the party,” he added, giving the reptilian Horrocon a sly wink.
”I mean,” Apeface began and stood up to his full height. ”Some of our bots don’t know how to have fun.”
The simian Horrorcon proceeded to crouch down and wrap his arm around Reflector’s shoulders who unluckily for himself was still in the range of Apeface’s reach. ”Like Fleccy here. He just doesn’t know how to loosen up, yeah?”
”So, sometimes - ” Apeface began while pulling Reflector’s head back effortlessly despite of some level of struggling from the smaller Decepticon. ”You have gotta help ’em.”
”Right Fleccy old boy? Now shh. Stop struggling, I ain’t gonna hurt you, hehe.” The much larger Decepticon smirked as he popped open a bottle of nightmare fuel, took a taste out of it and began pouring it down Reflector’s throat. ”Live it up Fleccy! The night is young!”
“I think Overbite here found some new love on that planet.”
"Shuddup," Overbite muttered to his fellow Seacon. "That thing...it was a thing of beauty. Pity we had to slay it."
The other Seekers were looking at him with various measures of incredulity on their faces.
"Shuddap!" Overbite barked, now more embarrassed than admiring of what Jhiaxus had built. He stalked over to one of the stations. "Quadra-filtered and keep 'em comin'."
___
When the door next slid open, it was Cyclonus making an inconspicuous and near-silent entrance as he had left Lord Scorponok to his own thoughts as they finished the stripping of LV-117. His footfalls made the barest of clinks as he quietly surveyed the room for a moment before approaching one of the energon stations.
His digits moved dexterously across the control panel as he assembled a unique blend of minerals and plasma qualities.
Taking his cylinder of glowing, sky-blue liquid, he turned and looked to the imprisoned Autobots. The celebration, on the whole, looked like what one would expect from a Decepticon triumph. But the compromised Autobots was one step too far. Scorponok would likely not be pleased. Reflector would need an admonishment.
He couldn't be far....
It didn't take long for the technician to return to Nightbird. He began installing a new vocal processor and updating her software to handle it. All the while muttering something about it being finicky and may not work well at first, as well as something about her lack of one at time of building was very rude of her. That comment elicited a swift kick to his midsection from the Ninja. She had absolutely no tolerance today.
With a growl that she was done but to let the software have a bit to start working, the technician stalked off with more than just wounded pride.
Nightbird frowned... Again. She took one last look at Bomb Burst's monitor before resigning herself to follow Bludgeon's orders... She slid off the berth and headed for the observation deck. After the technician's comments, though, she had decided that not being there to control Bomb Burst when he woke would be the best revenge.
Observation Deck
Of course Bludgeon noticed Nightbird's quiet entrance on to the Observation Deck. When she slid up behind him, he acknowledged her with a slight nod. "You are free to mingle." He instructed her.
--
"With respect, Master Bludgeon.." she said in a soft, raspy voice as the new vocal emitter was still settling in and trying to lock into her unique voice patterns. "I don't mingle." At least she didn't socially mingle... She could be quite the life of a party if she was there to ply out information from drunken mechs.
--
Bludgeon simply nodded. He also wasn't much of a mingler. He did grab a pair of containers from a passing serving mech and handed her one. "No need to mingle. But at least one celebratory drink." He said.
--
Since she couldn't very well decline the energex, Nightbird took the offered fuel and carefully sipped it, content to simply be in shadow of the Metallikato Master's presence.
--
Bludgeon's optics went back to scanning the room. He noted that he had briefly caught Lockdown's attention, this made his frown deepen a bit. Being in the notice of a mech like Lockdown often meant trouble.
But the Horrorcons took his attention. Surprised it wasn't Carnivac starting the first kerfuffle of the evening, he sipped his energex and drifted his optics to the Mayhem Attack Squad... Anticipating only mere nanokliks before Carnivac was getting involved.
--
Carnivac's attention was drawn to the scene of poor little Reflector being forced to enjoy himself. He started moving towards the scene with the rest of the team in tow... All eager to see this one play out.
"Now Apeface, that's not fair to poor Reflector." Carnivac said with a smirk once close enough. "A mech of his strength should have far more than that little container of the good stuff." He held out a container of nightmare fuel to the Horrorcon.
Motto: "Feed them to the Sharkticons!"
Observation Deck
For the spark of him, Scowl could not even begin to fathom how Slog had managed to fall in with the Decepticons. He was artistic, nurturing, and supportive, where most of the commanders he'd encountered during his affiliation with the Empire were austere, callous, and vindictive. And under most circumstances, Scowl would have considered the former qualities a contemptible waste of time, as most rank-and-file Decepticons tended to. But after everything the six Monstercons had survived together, after everything they suffered whenever events pushed them into combining, he'd learned to appreciate them—at least, coming from Slog. From any other mech, the sonic saboteur would have assumed they were either trying to sell him something or had pegged him for a fool. An extraordinarily gullible fool.
Still, while he could appreciate the sentiment and had some grudging respect for their team leader's sincerity, Scowl found it extremely difficult to actually articulate any of these things. Much less come up with a response that wouldn't sound dismissive, disingenuous, or outright stupid to his own extremely keen audio receptors. So he just nodded, tapped one broad finger noisily on the bar, and bellowed, “Drink!” at his customarily excessive volume.
If Slog would benefit from the Monstercons at least going through the motions of enjoying this … event, well. It was the least Scowl felt he owed him.
Cutthroat rated considerably less consideration. The Terrorcon took the Decpticon model and then carried it to deliberate, violent excess—usually to the detriment of his own supposed comrades. Engaging him on anything beyond the most superficial level would have been idiotic to the point of suicidal. So Scowl merely offered another noncommittal grunt and a vague, “Sure. Conquest.”
That first drink of engex was far more refreshing than it should have been.
And it seemed like the rumbling of battle was over. Mechs being pushed into the medbay, being hooked up to machines while being laid down upon berths. Scattershot’s visor was blank, and his vocaliser was flat, no visible expression to be found there. Hearing the bustle of the incoming injured mechs and the occasional, rhythmic beeping of the machines, it made him think, with what little Energon was being pumped into him to keep him alive.
Thinking was really all he could afford at this point. Scorponok likely wouldn’t allow him more. Ah, if only he did. Even the slightest increase would at least allow him to walk around. Being able to walk around would mean that he could pack some surprises for the ‘Cons. It didn’t matter too much for the moment, however. There were still going to be opportunities.
Scattershot’s visor was still blank, but now his vocaliser had creased upwards on one side. A smirk had settled onto his face. He was going to get out eventually. Soon. Let Scorponok celebrate for now. There’ll be plenty of time for aft-kicking later. He curled his digits inward to clench his fists, only to remember that that slagger Hun-gur had made off with his arm. What a greasy tarlicker.
It was only a matter of time before it rained hell on Hun-grrr and Scorponok. Not now, but soon. The smirk grew wider.
Overbite wrote:"Shuddup! That thing...it was a thing of beauty. Pity we had to slay it."
As the underwater terminator stormed off in embarrassment, Tentakil guffawed, lightly slapping his fellow cephalocon Octopunch on the shoulder. “Hehe, he doesn’t seem too thrilled about it. Now, imagine if only that madmech had built some kind of beast of Nautilator’s variety.”
After getting some good enjoyment out of the moment, he strolled over to the engex station that Overbite was headed towards, and politely, but confidently, asked for the same mix as his fellow Seacon. He picked up the new canisters using his various appendages, and used a free one to nudge the sharkticon lightly in the abdomen.
Meanwhile, in some other corner of the observation deck, Ransack was sitting down rather casually, engex in one hand, leaning back against the wall. He was surrounded by other insecticons, seekers and other generally random mechs. He didn’t feel like he had too much to say, and just acknowledged any passing comments by people with a simple nod. The black and yellow commando didn’t really feel the mood for the party. He was just here for the free engex that was being handed.
And that’s when he saw, from across the room, Autobot prisoners being lined up in the observation deck like decorations on a tree.
Oh yes.
Weapon: Railgun
[Observation Deck]
This was incredibly humiliating.
It was honestly quite hard to believe that only a few breems ago, Skyfall was undertaking the adventure of a lifetime, swooping around gargantuan techno-organic monstrosities and dogfighting Decepticons in chaotic, turbulent weather, and that too without any weapons or gear of any sort. He could feel the energon flowing past his circuits, that intense rush of the moment, the heat and the blazing zeal that ignited within his spark.
And now he was here, in restraints and cuffs, forced to be put on display in front of hundreds of Decepticons. Some of which who were the very same ones he had kept under watch at Garrus-9. He thought he was going to go back to the cells and feel miserable again. This was so much worse than that. He much rather wanted the comfort and privacy of the cells now. Especially in the presence of some of the crazier ones… like Cutthroat.
Gosh, if this was how the tables were going to turn, I want Prowl to come around and flip the tables back to the right side.
He looked around, hoping there would be some ‘con who he could bump into and try to get punished back into the cells again. His optics met those of a certain insecticon, who was peering at him back, rather coldly too. The engineer attempted to shift his hands, but they were bound in place.
Oh no.
Skalor giggled like the drunk, stinkin’ fish he was when Tentakil and Octopunch started serving Overbite some good ol’ barnacle banter. “Hehehe, we could always getcha, hic, a drone that looks ‘xactly like that big ’un.” He loomed around a little, and even with all the scent of the Energon in the air, his stench was still heavily prevalent. It didn’t help that there was also some other slobs on the observation deck, namely Blot and Snapdragon. At some point, one would have to wonder how many olfactory sensors were going to need repairs later on.
Bristleback was sat next to Scowl and Icepick, taking the occasional sip from his canister of engex. He hadn’t paid too much attention to what kind of blend he’d gotten, but that was because he was keeping an eye on that Mindwipe fellow. Everyone knew Mindwipe didn’t exactly have the soundest of reputations. Bristleback didn’t want to deal with him right. He struck all the wrong nerves.
Cravex wrote:“To battlefield conquests,”
Some slaggin’ robo-chicken decided to drop by as well. What was his name? Cutthroat, maybe. That slagger was at least several screws loose in his cerebral cortex. Bristleback raised his canister half-heartedly and muttered a slew of vulgarities lowly. Scowl seemed to have a similar reaction. Good on him.
“Go on Reflector. Go join yer other selves and have a drink fer me. I’ve got t’ings under control up’ere. We’ve earned the chance to celebrate a little while! Agheheh.”
Reflector looked up from his console station, thinking for a moment about the captain's orders. In truth, he didn't need more than one of his "selves" at the triumph. That was the advantage of being him. But, nor did he need to give one of Scorponok's more favored underlings any guff or quibble about minor details. So, observation deck it was to be.
"By your leave, captain," Reflector said agreeably, giving Finback a respectful nod before turning and exiting the bridge. Given what was happening at the triumph, maybe it would prove to be useful to have more than one set of optics present.
”I mean, some of our bots don’t know how to have fun,” one of the Horrorcons said as Reflector passed by. Well that was true. "Fun" wasn't exactly an orn-to-orn expectation one could have when-
-when suddenly the brute grabbed his head and pulled his vocalizer open.
”So, sometimes - You have gotta help ’em.”
"How dare! Cursed fiends!"
”Right Fleccy old boy? Now shh. Stop struggling, I ain’t gonna hurt you, hehe. Live it up Fleccy! The night is young!”
The potency of the energon in question hit him as soon as it hit his taste sensors: Nightmare Fuel. The stuff was so intense he worried his jaw might melt off.
"Now Apeface, that's not fair to poor Reflector. A mech of his strength should have far more than that little container of the good stuff," Carnivac chimed in.
"No...no really....that's plenty," Reflector said, practically gagging on the amount that he had been given already. Who drank that mess? Whose internals could take it? Reflector felt that if he ingested much more he might collapse into a singularity.
Before he could protest any further, he felt himself being violently spun around and staring up into the optics of Scorponok's Vice Commander.
"My l-lord..."
"'My lord' nothing," Cyclonus spat. "What is all of this?"
"Our Lord Commander's triumph of course. Y-You tasked me to-"
"This," Cyclonus barked, even more forcefully, pointing in the direction of the massive, strung-up form of Fortress Maximus and the others like him who were in varying states of imprisonment and on display like captured fauna. "Other commanders may parade their defeated around in this manner...or worse. But I expected better of you, Reflector. You've worked with Scorponok long enough to know his traits. This will not please him. Have them removed. Immediately."
Cyclonus released his grip on Reflector so forcefully that the mech went sprawling onto the ground. He then looked at the other mechs who were present.
"Continue your celebrations," Cyclonus said as he stalked off, taking another drink of the energon from his cylinder.
When the doors to the observation deck opened, Goldrush was amazed. He had never been part of a Decepticon war commander's "triumph" before.
"Oooooo..." he gushed, looking around a the luminescent glows of the various energon concentrations. It reminded him of his vorns maintaining the Greasepit back on Garrus-9. He wondered what concoctions this vessel might have that he did not.
He would have to explore to find out.
Re: The Semper Tyrannis - A Moment Of Peace
Observation Deck
“To battlefield conquests,” Cutthroat said, causing Slog’s grip on his engex container to tighten slightly. This was the reason he hated coming here. Too many of his Decepticon brethren either chose to ignore what had happened to them or didn’t care. He chalked the Terrorcon’s reaction into the latter.
Willful ignorance suits him, he thought, tilting his glass toward the Terrorcon in salute following his proclamation. Hearing Scowl’s half-hearted response mirrored how he felt, but it was Bristleback’s low mumbling that nearly brought a smile to his faceplate. He hadn’t heard most of Bristleback’s commentary, but he did catch a couple of words and he completely agreed.
Not that he could admit it, though. Especially not in front of one of the most temperamental mechs in the Decepticon ranks. Trying to appear casual, he scanned the observation deck for Hun-Grrr. Maybe, if his leader was there, Cutthroat would avoid making a spectacle of himself. Slog doubted it, but hope springs enternal.
The problem was one never knew what would set the flyer off. At this point, I’ll accept keeping him him from attacking any of us as a victory at this point. Primus knows we’re due for one.
Cutthroat down his second glass and turned his attention to the other mechs mingling about before turning back to the Monstercons. Throwing his arm out to his side, motioning to the others in attendance, he said, “Look around. All weak, all prey.” His optics blazed red, making his visage appear even more nightmarish. “All,” he hissed, leaning closer to the Monstercons gathered, then laughed as he slammed a fist down on the bar nd grabbed a pitcher of engex from the bartender.
Without a word, but continuing to laugh, he turned away from the Monstercons to look for an easy meal to chase the engex. The gathering around Reflector had given him an opening, he just had to find the right one…
Slog set his glass down at Cutthroat’s insinuation, but he managed to keep from voicing his opinion.
What would it matter to a mindless hulk like Cutthroat, anyway? He was the epitome of the Decepticon cause: barbarism for the sake of power. Such nuances like guile, trust, and subtlety would be lost on him.
For that reason, and to keep his Monstercons from dealing with another fall out from an unnecessary battle, but not wanting the insult to go unchallenged, he said, “Weakness is abundant in those unable to view it in themselves.”
For the briefest of moments, Slog was sure Cutthroat had heard him and, more importantly, understood his meaning when the mech’s head turned slightly to the side, as if looking at him. It wasn’t until the voices of the others having fun at Reflector’s expense reached him that he realized what Cutthroat’s primary interest lay.
Thank Primus, he thought, his own eagerness to engage the Terrorcon surprising him. Had he been alone, there was no doubt in his processor as to what he’d have done. Cutthroat may be a terrifying mech, but he was a monster. But with his fellow Monstercons still dealing with the after effects of their forced combining, though he was grateful to see Icepick doing better (he made a mental note to talk with him later as to what Mindwipe and he had discussed), he didn’t want to risk them being pulled into another conflcit so soon afterwards.
On top of that, engaging in a fight during one of Scorponk’s celebrations could only lead to trouble, and he’d had his fill of it as late.
Part of him ached at not being able to talk with the Terrorcon about his ordeal during their forced merging, but such was the life with beast-mechs.
Cutthroat heard Slog’s comment, and for the briefest moment, acting on it appealed to him above anything else. But then he smelled nightmare fuel and spotted a pair of Vehicons that were barely able to stand. He hissed laughter as oil-drool ran down the side of his mouth. This promised to be a celebration he’d enjoy, and if there was time, he’d return to the Monstercons and see how tasty they were.
He tossed the pitcher he’d taken over his shoulder in the direction of the bar, and slowly crossed the deck.
