Good call, I didn't even think of that. One day I'll learn to game.itscramtastic wrote:I've just now started using status effect as I want to always wear a certain armor set that gives a different status effect!! Like climbing or stealth in hot or cold regions!
I never thought of it before either!! Just running around farming and finding the Koroks wanting to have two effects running, it was the best way!carytheone wrote:Good call, I didn't even think of that. Wanna hear cray? I suit up in the champions tunic, soldiers pants and amber earrings for defense. When I mount a lynel, I pause switch to the barb gear and wail on him. Sometimes I'll even switch to a two handed weapon. When I get bucked off I pause and change all my gear again.shajaki wrote:Also for reference, FD is the exact same thing as the Barbarian outfit. I don't think I ever used it because I was so hung up on "MOAR DEFENS MEANS BETTAR" for most of my playthrough. That, and it's one of the few outfits I don't like the look of
Hahahaha, the game seems to be really good when I'm in slow motion, which is most of the time.itscramtastic wrote:You know what's crazy? Perfect Parry and Flurry Rush are my best friends. It's the only thing I'm good at in the game. And shooting arrows while free-falling. So basically, I'm good when the game is in slow motion LOL
I've considered doing that, but I was too lazycarytheone wrote:I suit up in the champions tunic, soldiers pants and amber earrings for defense. Last time I checked, I had about 70-80 Lynel guts to sparecarytheone wrote:I need 4 more lynel guts to finish my upgrades. I need to get gud at parry and dodge to get them free throws in. Maybe when I'm done with that I'll upgrade that deity set.
I honestly found the parry to be kinda pointless. All it does is open them up to couple regular attacks, and if I'ma use my timing skills then flurry rush is more useful. Now I know what you'll say, returning Guardian lasers. But in MM they have random timing, making it literally impossible to use it as a reliable tactic.itscramtastic wrote:You know what's crazy? I'd use it at every opportunity. Leaping off a horse/Master Cycle and going into slow-mo bow mode (SLOBOMO?) is a great tactic. But I really wish that slobomo didn't require you to be airborn. Lotsa games do a "focus" type thing whenever you want. Just another thing for you to improve upon Zelda teamcarytheone wrote:I do love slow-mo arrow shooting
Just make it a Sheikah Slate skill. I wish BotW had a magic meter instead of all the skills having uses/cooldowns. Just like weapon/shield durability, it's more of a nuisance than game mechanic. Neither adds nor subtracts, so why bother?shajaki wrote:I'd use it at every opportunity. Leaping off a horse/Master Cycle and going into slow-mo bow mode (SLOBOMO?) is a great tactic. I was taken aback when I started BOTW, seeing the Sheikah slate replacing many key items and the magic meter. But it doesn't take long to get used to, and I now feel it's was a really innovative idea. I still miss the Hookshot, and feel that Cryonis was painfully underused, but everything else about it was great. I hope they expand upon it.carytheone wrote:Just make it a Sheikah Slate skill. I'd been happy with durability if they had added two things, a trackable number and repair.

I hear ya. Song of the Storms is what clued me into this mix. Going pick up the album and I'm sure it's going on repeat at work.Cobotron wrote:Just gonna let it play and see where it takes me.
