Shockwave's Tower - Hangar Bay

"As a matter of fact I did see some Autobots in this region on my way over here. They were engaged in a fight with some of our forces. I would have thought everyone here was aware of it."

Turmoil stopped to think about why he had come to Polyhex in the first place.

"Scourge sent me here to find out if you'd learned anything about my condition. What to do afterwards he did not say. Whatever his grand plan is, he's being very vague about it. I'm guessing he wants us to be his eyes, ears, and hands across the empire but so far that job has meant nothing but walking around like a zombie waiting for something to do."

Heading back to the Tower

Skywarp heard the transmission from Cyclonus and cast a look at the others. Since jadewind had been part of his wing he scooped her up and ignored her heated protests.

“Nightraid, we'll combine with Thundercracker's Squadron and return together.”

The black and purple seeker turned to face Thundercracker,

“Can't say that went well. I wonder if Rabbit ears is any less forgiving than Pretty boy was.”

With that Warp took to the sky and headed back to the tower.

Ruins of Polyhex - Border Region

Jadewind hissed as she missed Sunstreaker's crimson brother, but seeing the little autobot Bravo loose the better part of his shooting hand was all the satisfaction she need.

"Seems Autobots will except any viral vermin that can hold a laser these vorns."

It was Sideswipe's golden guardian that let her know just what an enemy she had crossed this cycle. As Sunstreaker returned fire on Jadewind it was all the phenotype seeker could do to pull the better armored Turbulence into harms way to save her more delicate frame.

"Consider the debt paid... Now rise up while the fight is still ours!"

She wasn't expecting the blue and bronze warrior to be processing star charts but her flight unit would barely keep herself a float. The emerald flier hoped to manage a tactical lift. So when Skywarp strong armed her away, her protest was mostly for show and pride.

Do to Jadewind's intervention, Sunstreaker's neutron gun found Turbulence's remaining turret and the better part of his shoulder linkage. Land based combat was no longer an option, and his seeker alt was less than air worthy.

Barely processing what was going on, the blue and bronze warrior held on to his emerald counter part and took off. His flight unit strained to support the added mass while he finished his own diagnostic.

"Navigations are shot, and optical sensors are at minimal efficiency. I guess a radar patch would be preferable to flying blind."

A the emerald seeker relayed her navigation data, Turbulence's arms went limp and Jadewind was pulled away. The cobalt seeker still had not realized he had been relieved from being the under appreciated taxi service by the senior seeker in black.

Shockwave's Tower - Hangar

Reforge took in the words of his fellow sweeps. It was true they were likely left to hold the tower while the squadron of seekers were away, but it also seemed Scourge had grander ideas than base beta watching.

"Similar... If my ram is right, Seekers patrol and Sweeps hunt. We have no current target Blackguard, but we could search for one."

The differences were slightly more than superficial, but there non the less. He didn't care for the ranking system below scourge as it only amounted to the order of there dismantlement from the violent Sweep commander, but it could serve a worthy purpose.

"Turmoil, there is a new sub commander? So who is Scourges new claw sharpener?"

While awaiting an answer form the power surging sweep, Reforge double encrypted his observational data on the drone Sweeps to Cyclonus. It was delayed enough as it was. The first encryption was a through back to part of a very dated Seeker protocol, while the second was among the latest in sweep encryption. While either Decepticon aerial faction could decrypt there own respective codes Reforge new few other than an Air Commandant, and perhaps himself, who could quickly do both.

Forgetting there was still at least one seasoned seeker in signal range, Reforge sent his report to Cyclonus.

Shockwave's Tower - Command Center

"In war you have to make sacrifices, even if you do not like them." Quantum answered Ravage in a neutral manner. He had a tremendous respect of Shockwave, but the cyclops was more of a scientist than a soldier, despite his superior fighting abilities. He simply didn't have the mentality of a soldier like Megatron, Razorclaw or, appearently, Cyclonus. Even if logic dictated it, Shockwave would never allow anyone to blow his tower up to prevent Autobots from getting the secrets it protected.

The black and white seeker looked from Ravage to Cyclonus to see if the Air Commander had anything to add to their discussion. In fact, Quantum was interested in how Cyclonus would act if it really became relevant.

Heading back to the Tower

"Affirmative sir... rejoining..." Nightraid said, following Skywarp. The mission had not exactly gone smoothly. But at least they hadn't all been shot to smithereens... the tactician assumed that was something to be content about.
The seeker's shape soon came to flight to the right, slightly behind Skywarp.

"That's exactly right, Reforge. We're supposed to be hunters, while the Seekers are a general air squadron. But, judging by what Turmoil has said, it seems that they still see fit to do everything themselves. It seems that if we leave it up to our 'allies', we will never leave this hangar. And whatever Scourges brilliant plan is, I doubt that's part of it."
Blackguard walked to the hangar door, getting out of the radius of Turmoils light, and cast his sensors out into the aether. The incoming Seekers, many of them abnormally sluggish, became clear to them. There was no doubt an incident had occurred.
>>This is Blackguard of the Sweeps to the commander of the Seeker Patrols. We are prepped and ready to releive you. Are there any Autobots still functional? If so please give us coordinates and we will launch to intercept.<<
It occured to the black knight of the Sweeps that he was volunteering himself as spokesbot and defacto leader of the Polyhex Sweeps with such a transmission. If the others had a problem with that, they had better say so quickly.

"Why, our new XO is none other than Discord. I know nothing of her ability to lead us, since I was promptly sent here after her promotion."

Turmoil stood aside and let Blackguard pass. He was then surprised to hear his comrade's message to the Seekers. He liked the idea of returning to the battlefield and finishing what he started. And perhaps he would finally get the chance to prove himself to his fellows.

Polyhex- Shockwave's Tower

Skywarp nodded in response to Nightraid. Pushing forward he caught up to Thundercracker Jadewind still in his arms. The dark seeker figured Turbulence would catch up better without the extra weight. Warp made a mental tally as they flew. Nightraid, Turbulence, Jadewind, Thundercracker, and himself had not done so well and if Warp had been more intelligent he would have realized how this would damage the seeker reputation. The seekers needed to be more flexible and work together or they would be replaced by the sweeps.

Skywarp's team landed just as Blackguard sent out his request.

“Wonderful Blackguard! You radioed just in time. We're all done and there is autobot mess everywhere out there. Sure you can relieve us. Clean up is a protoform's job after all.”

Warp couldn't help it, it was his personality to constantly crack jokes and play pranks. Even when he tried to curb himself ... If it wasn't for Cracker warp would have been melted down long ago. Skywarp then turned to Turbulence handing Jadewind back to him.

“Here Turb, take miss priss to repairs, Cracker and I have a date with Ol' rabbit ears. Nightraid you can refuel and hang out here till we get back. Let me know if Rapture comes in.”

Skywarp and Thundercracker made their way to the command center, stopping before the door. Warp looked over at his long time best friend. The blue seeker was damaged and would need some intracate repairs. Wist a forced ire of seriousness the two entered the room. warp took little notice of Rapture's brother or Quantum or anyone else for that matter. The seeker just wanted to get this conversation over with.

“Cyclonus, Sir, the patrols have returned. The Autobots bailed out on us, and we have scans of a large ship moving out from Iacon.”

Polyhex- Shockwave's Tower

Nightraid saluted to Skywarp and then nodded.
"Yes sir, i shall comm you as soon as i see Rapture" the tactician said. He needed to rearm anyway, just to be sure if an emergency popped up. He walked towards a refueling station and locked into it.

Shockwaves Tower - Hangar Bay

Blackguard took the unveiled insult in his stride, and turned to his team. "The Seekers are asking to be relieved, you may come with me if you wish". Blackguard still wasn't sure if Reforge had the stomach for proper combat, but perhaps a simple patrol would boost the medics confidence. Blackguard transformed and took off, as the Seekers landed.

Ruins of Polyhex - Battle site

Blackguards sensors sweeped over the ruins of the city until he found the unmistakable signs of a recent battle. It took him a klik to truly appreciate what he saw before him, but once he had an impression, he radioed back to Skywarp.

Instead, I find a battlefield with as much Seeker wreckage as Autobot, and a trail of Autobot emissions leading not back to their base, but out towards Tagan. A second radio message, to confirm his duty: >>Blackguard of the Sweeps to Air Commander Cyclonus, a group of Autobots has advanced through Polyhex and are headed for Tagan. Shall we pursue?<<

Turmoil silently clenched his fist in anger at the Seeker's insult, but he said nothing. He was already on his way to a fight. There was no sense starting another.

Turmoil followed Blackguard to the battle site.

Ruins of Polyhex - Battle site

He was immediately surprised at the lack of activity. When he left it the battle was still raging with no signs of winding down. Now it appeared that the Autobots had broken through and reached Tagan.

"So where's the "autobot mess everywhere" we were promised?
