I'll start with my recent haul.
Unboxing Hatchune Miku, this is what we get:
Right of the bat I can see that "G1" Nendos have a different stand and the faces are not made the same way. The neck part and the face part are in ONE piece while newer Nendos separated them. Making face-swapping less convenient when an old figure is involved.
Overall, Hatchune is adorable and is quite fun.
Next, Queen's Blade Reina/Leina:
I forgot to take the unboxing picture but eh, have some chibi buts and a look at a "G1" neck/face.
I don't like that "G1" stand because it dosent allow much posing. Also, one of her belt thing kept falling off so I ended up super-gluing it. Sacrilege, I know. Reina is not really a good Nendo, but for 800JPY, it's all right.
Next, Queen's Blade Alleyne, the last of my "G1" Nendo:
Although from the same Gen as Reina, Alleyne is much better. She feel more solid and her "G1" stand lock only one leg in place, giving more posing options. I really like that tomato elf.
Onward to the modern era of Nendoroid with Strike Witches Miyafuji Yoshiko.
I never watched the series, but a WW2 fighter plane Gijinka? Why not? She also come with lots of parts.
In non combat mode, Yoshiko is cute as a button. However, it's a bit too plain.
Building her plane legs was quite troublesome. Those parts are tiny and pop of easily with my clumsy big fingers. The overall look is bad-ass though. Also, incombat mode, the girls have animal ears and tails that sprout from their body. Welcolme to anime logic!
Finally, last but not least is Kantai Collection's Shimakaze. The only Nendo I had to pay full normal price from the lot. There's TONS of stuff coming with her, including her cannons crew. Shimakaze is a gijinka of a WW2 destroyer.
Nendos have LOTS of tiny parts that split up in even more tiny parts. See the little arms on the little cannon dudes? Those pop off if you are not careful. Also, I derped and broke a ball joint of the tiny stand arm to Shimakaze's right. The one that plug into one cannon guy. The thing was tight as hell and I tried to force a rotation. Oh well, it can still rest on it and won't fall off.
Anyway, Shimakaze is still pretty amazing, the stand having a special conection with her armaments backpack.
Anime logic dictate that is a boat girl get hit by bullets, explosions, and canon fire, only her clothes rip off. The more sexy the suit, the more armor you got! Even the little dudes have a damaged option. Also, having that spare body allow me to have some fun with Tanya.
Overall, Shimakaze is pretty amazing and I just LOVE that she come with cute little murder machines.
And now, my collection so far:
Shown in the non TF haul thread, Tanya Degurechaff from Yooujo Seki and Umaru Chan from Himouto Umaru Chan.
Shimakaze and Yoshiko go well together despite not being from te same universe:
Lol @ photobombing anime butt! And finally, Hatchune Miku and the Queen's Blade girls.
Got any Nendoroids? Wanna make some photo-comics with Nendos? Please do share!
