We have a
Deadline article detailing Hasbro potentially selling off some of it's EOne assets. The part that is transformers related though is that the sale will provide funds to further invest in brands and the Transformers brand is distinctively pointed out. You can read the exerpt of the article below. One important thing, when it comes to brand, the idea here is IP. So this is not about putting more money in toys, it's about financing more projects with the Transformers IP and growing that brand. It can mean basically anything. But the point is, Transformers is seen as a strong brand that Hasbro only wants to expand upon and make stronger.
The announcement today said Hasbro plans to significantly increase strategic investment in key brands with a focus on gaming, direct to consumer, franchise brands and licensing.
Priority brands for investment include Peppa Pig, Transformers, Dungeons & Dragons, Magic: The Gathering, My Little Pony, Power Rangers, Play-Doh and board games including Monopoly and Clue.
