It would be nice if (some) police stopped trying to kill people for not following directions.
That would be very nice indeed. Unfortunately, a couple of rather nasty concepts undermine that wish:
a) the thought they can get away with it
b) the overall feeling of superiority
c) prejudice (of which racism is a part)
It's especially the latter that's dangerous, because it blinds people from exceptions of the so-called established rule that "that people is like that" or "that religion is like this". And the media is not really helping to dispel those ideas, nor the people who don't open their mind to the idea.
That's just wishful thinking that it's that simple. It's not "prejudice" that kill the criminals who resist arrest. It's what MUST be done to keep the officer safe and
everyone else around the scene.
I saw a video from the UK. The cop was UNARMED. No nothing. Because muh political correctness. There was a guy (race irrelevant) who stabbed a woman in the belly with a long knife. She crouch on the ground, cluching her stomach, in pain. The cop is just there, not even 3 feet away from the scene. He was just there, waving his arm around, most likely trying to TELL the criminal to stop stabbing. Did the criminal stop?
Nooooooooooooooooooo. He went back to the woman and stabbed her some more for good heasure. Then the guy just walk away as if he just bought a coke. The woman is DEAD. The cop is there, confused, waving his arms like an idiot.
Now, take that same scene in the USA. The criminal may have had never the time to knife the woman. The cop would have fatten up this bastard with a few pounds of lead in two seconds and that woman would be alive.
Still in the UK, I saw a video where a woman DECAPITATED a child right in the middle of the busy street while shouting nonsense. This would have never happened in the USA.
(Look up those videos yourself because I'm not linking to real life gore.)
Where there unjust and/or accidental killings in the USA? Of course those happened. But how many lives were saved because the dangerous criminal was justifiably shot?
Here's a hint for criminals. The cop is there to stop you? STFU and obey. It's that simple. No matter if your arrest is "unjust" or not.
And before calling "race race race", know that most criminals that get shot in the USA are white. Because % of population. And bizarely, the media almost never mention the race of the cop who shoot a criminal. That's not good for
the narrative.
