Action Toys Machine Robo MR-06 Blackbird
Why does this one not exist to buy, anywhere???
chuckdawg1999 wrote:It probably sold out. Fear not, Tank Robo is getting reissued so maybe Blackbird Robo will get one down the line.

He too, "no longer exist".

I regret having to cancel that preorder a lot

Everyone was quite impressed with how good the altmode etc looked, when it arrived. The fact that they are also 3P would explain why.

Apparently, Action Toys are the same people who used to make 3rd party kits and figures under the name Fans Project. Nice to see they're able to make more mainstream products. You might want to try Amazon Japan and other Japan-only sites to try and find them.

Wait, really?! Holy cow, I always wondered what happened to Fansproject! I mean if true.

I know, I hope it is true but I've only heard one source claim that. I really liked Fansproject as I felt they really weren't trying to infringe on trademarks but make their own toys that did the same thing.

I did a purge of most of my third-party toys, just not enjoying them. I did keep Fansproject's City Commander, Protector, and Crossfire upgrade kits, though.
Anyway, I've gotten pretty much all of these Machine Robo figures and love them. I just wish they weren't limited to characters that only appeared in the anime.
It's because they licensed the rights specifically to the anime characters. Rather than Bandai, they got the rights for this line from Ashi Productions.RK_Striker_JK_5 wrote:I just wish they weren't limited to characters that only appeared in the anime.

It's those rights issues

I know, I know. I know why it's like this. I still hate it.
