Its Transformers Tuesday and Hasbro is giving us our first look at 3 releases. We have Legacy United leader Sandstorm, with a head based on the toy, and two prestige style releases. Those are Grimlock and Shockwave, using their most recent toys, in a comic accurate deco. Shockwave comes with a new Optimus head accessory.

Hasbro has unveiled new Transformers figures inspired by the original comic book series, and you're seeing them first here at ComicBook.com! The first Transformers comic was produced by Marvel between 1984 and 1991, and these new Shockwave and Grimlock figures come straight out of its pages. The year 1984 was certainly special for Transformers fans, which is why you'll see 40th anniversary branding on the box along with iconic cover art from Transformers #5 Shockwave "Are All Dead" and Transformers #8 "And Now The Dinobots!" issues.
Inside the boxes you'll find figures with comic book-style deco and plenty of accessories. A full breakdown of both figures can be found below. Pre-order details have not been revealed at the time of writing, but they will hit store shelves in the Summer of 2024. It is with great sorrow that we share with you the news of Jose Delbo's passing. He was an Argentinian comic artist and while he drew possibly every DC character of his era, he is best known for his work on Wonder Woman for DC Comics and The Transformers for Marvel Comics. He was 90 years old. We send our prayers to him and his family.
For those curious about his work on Transformers, Delbo worked on 25 issues of the original Marvel Transformers comic. Below you'll find a sampling of his cover work, some of these covers have become iconic over the years. The Toddfather himself took to Facebook to present the new toys we previously reported on. He announced the first 4 set of toys and comics from the deal he struck with Hasbro. Some fans may not realize but Hasbro is not behind the making of these toys, and they don't affect any budget or things of that nature, they are simply a product from licensing, no different than an Optimus Prime T-shirt you may find in a store (while that sounds basic, many comments from the previous story made it seem like this was not common knowledge).

Fans are eager for the reveals of the second wave of Legacy United, especially when these toys could show up any day now. It may not have been realized by all yet, but we've already seen 4 of the 7 new figures this wave has to offer.

While it was made very clear what we'd be getting from McFarlane's collaboration with the Transformers brand, some fans still imagined detailed figures worth adorning their shelves. However, those familiar with the Page Punchers line had a good idea of what we'd be getting, which is more focused on a younger audience and budget conscious parents or fans of small novelty figures. Depending on where you land on your familiarity with McFarlane's Page Punchers products, the new images below will either seem par for the course or disappointing.
Below you will see images of the upcoming McFarlane Transformers products which include two two packs. One with Bumblebee and Wheeljack and the other with Megatron and Optimus. Once again both are made to answer to adding affordable low budget products to shelves in big box stores with a novelty value to it thanks to the synergy between toy and comic. We thanks fellow Seibertronian Sabrblade for letting us know of this neat tidit. Evan Brooks, the Hasbro designer who is handling the Omega Prime Haslab figure is responding to multiple fans on social media. The question of redecos came up and fans were wondering if this being a Haslab release meant there wouldn'd be a chance of that. Well the short answer is "no", as Evan says
"It's certainly possible, I think. I think this is new Territory for the Haslab teams as there hasn't been such an outcry for a future Redeco of a figure until now, haha"
He also confirmed that the ladder can extend. Below is a screenshot of said quotes.

The second wave of Legacy United has hit US ports and is ready for distribution across the globe, so we are seeing more and more of its contents. Like this new review for Gears. It highlights some parts which we couldn't see from the initial images. You get a good look at his backpack, which is pretty massive for a minibot. But the main issue fans are not happy with is the view of the truck mode from the back since that's where the robot mode chest ends up. We do see a fun east egg though with an M on the back of his robot mode head, homaging the G1 toy.

Also, as we have seen with previous waves, Hasbro has been lowering production numbers on these toys, and brick and mortar distribution is unreliable. There is a chance this could end up like Beachcomber so if you think you might want this Gears, it is ill advised to wait to see it on a shelf or wait for a discount.
We had shared images previously of the upcoming warrior class figures from Transformers Earthspark and in there we could see that both Twitch and Bumblebee had these black prongs that hinted at a combining gimmick. Well there are more images now on Amazon and they show us exactly what we get out of that. It's, well, you'll see. Below you will see all the images of these two upcoming toys along with the combining description from Hasbro. They are in the 5th wave of warrior class figures. If you are wondering, the 2nd wave was the one with Thrash, the 3rd wave had Jawbreaker and the 4th wave had the Cyberverse shockwave redeco. It's being found in target stores now. A full breakdown of waves 4 and 5 can also be found below.

Takara Tomy revealed quite the unique item today. It is a display piece consisting of an Optimus Prime statue on a base that can automatically transform from bot to vehicle. It can't be seperated from the base and isn't programable like what Robosen releases, this is not a toy. Instead this is more of an advanced version of the talking and moving coin banks 90s kids are sure to remember.

While it's been a month long trickle, the entire first wave of the Transformers Generations Legacy United line has now been found in the US and is also popping up all across the globe. Below is a quick breakdown of the places the toys have been found (it is not an exhaustive list) followed by review videos for all the new figures.
