Fellow Seibertronian Bumblebee21 found some new toys reviews from Chefatron. These are for the latest Titans Return toys Kup, Brawn, Perceptor, Sky Shadow and Broadside. He found them all at a local Toysrus in the Phillipines. What do you think of these toys? Will you get them all? Are you dissapointed by the simplicity of Sky Shadow's Transformation (which Overlord would also have)? And do you think/pray Braodside's jet mode to be mistransformed? Let us know!

That's Hasbro's fault for failing to inform Walmart that there was new product on the way. A retail computer system isn't going to magically recognize every new UPC code that's introduced. Somebody has to tell the computer what product that bar code represents.

With that said, did you inform somebody at the store so they could add the toys to their system? The department manager may not have been aware there was new product that wasn't scanning.

If you get them at Wal-Mart, be sure to bring an older TM with you to the cashier because no matter what you are going to have a hassle getting them through the checkout, unless you did what I did when purchasing another Sawback for a friend. I just took an older TM to self check out, scanned it instead, and left it as the check stand. The clerk checking receipts saw my one item, and the receipt, and didn't question anything else.

The problem with this approach is that it doesn't solve the problem. The next customer who comes into the store is going to have the same issue, but it might not occur to them which toys are going to scan at the checkouts and which toys won't.

That is NOT a fault of Hasbro. It's actually a Walmart error. My day job is a vendor. I am a sales rep for a company and one of my biggest stores was a Walmart and how it works at Walmart is everything comes from corporate and all Walmarts have to do downloads to put new items in their system. If they don't do their downloads then items don't show up in their system. I know from experience. I would bring new SKUs in and if Walmart didn't do their download than the item wouldn't show up and sometimes they would refuse to accept their merchandise and I'd have a real fun day tracking down the office people and telling them they need to do their downloads so I can't get my new items in.

Hasbro items that get brought in are the same thing but don't get refused because One, thy come in on their store trucks which consist of two to three thousand items and they don't check each box individually and Two, they come in case boxes with one SKU on the box, usually it will say Hasbro transformers deluxe wave and has a SKU that is just for deluxes, voyagers leader etc. The cases don't have every individual SKU on the box so transformers that come in without the store updating their system don't ring up.

So no, it's not Hasbro not sending info to stores it's actually the store not updating their own system to get in file.

I donno - have you seen Deluxe Generations Skyshadow's Transformation? That was 'simple' too, but people liked it.

I guess we won't know until these figures come to our neck of the woods. For US dwellers, several months at least...

When someone other than Chefatron gets their hand on Legends Brawn I hope they show off the interaction with his Titanmaster self (and the mini-vehicle) more.

I also wonder if that arm shield has any other uses at all. I just want to see him holding his own TR rifle mode.

It also goes the same for stuff in the store. If anyone has a Walmart, Target or any store similar to them and are sitting on a lot of old waves or nothing, it's not Hasbro not sending them the new waves. There are many different reasons but it's never Hasbro not getting new stuff out. It's all on the store. The stores write their own orders or coprate does it for them based on sales and inventory and inventory is only as good as the store handles it.

If you have a Walmart that has been empty and remains empty of transformers it's very possible that the store isn't ordering them because they may have a large quantity of something else. Example: Star Wars. With rogue one out stores were loaded with new Star Wars toys, not just the floor but the back rooms as well. Some stores don't look at what the franchise is, they sometimes will just see "Hasbro merch" and won't order because they already have a ton of "Hasbro merch" another point is repacking with wrong boxes. Stores repack all the time for their back room, they keep boxes. Say an employee tosses a bunch of barbies, Minecraft, whatever toys in a transformers box and gets put in the back, the employee inventorying will just scan the box they won't open every box. That happens. I had a Walmart that had so many nerf toys they weren't ordering anything until they got thier nerf stuff sold.

Sky Shadow looks really cool. But as others mentioned, I'll wait for the Overlord version. Brawn and Perceptor also look awesome and I will definitely be getting those. Kup looks ok, but I already have the Generations version and don't need another. I'm not really liking Broadside much at all. The only mode I kinda like is the carrier, but that's not nearly enough to sway me.

Can you guys get enough images of the newly reveales Krok, Quake and Topsin? Neither can we. So we have more for you, coming from all over the net (but all from the Phillipines where they were unveiled). We have some comparisons between TR Krok and his Club counterpart, but more importantly we see the alt mode very well now. We also have the best shots yet of Topspin (a whole gallery of him), and shots from the back which show some impressive thrusters. Plus, shots of Quake's tank mode, and the back of their cards which finally give us their official stock images. You will also find some shots from our galleries to compare with the G1 toys. For the rest of this wave, we already have video reviews so check those out! Let us know what you think and which ones you are getting.

Teleportation Abyss. Yeesh that's cool

TR Perceptor is so much better than RTS it's not even funny. Seeing TR Krok next to his Timelines self is... it feels very good, just seeing how much bigger Deluxes have gotten since Thrilling 30. Talking of height, it's surprising just how much bigger Topspin is than Perceptor, that's about a head, isn't it?

Gotta say, didn't think Hardhead to Quake would work at first... but the more I look at it, the better it keeps getting in my eye.

And I'm loving the translation of stickers to molded detail on Topspin, especially those vents on his knees. Just beautiful; everything about this guy so far seems like a perfect, streamlined update to the original. Due to my MTMTE-only stipulation for now I'm only going to get Perceptor and Krok, but Topspin's making that rule very very hard to follow.

Someone at Hasbro really has a sense of humor. Blunderbuss's power is mass-shifting, something Broadside really needs between his two alt modes.

Perceptor looks a bit scrawny for my liking, but it's still probably a better figure than the RTS version, which looked fine in either mode but was crummy in between.

I have to say, I really do like this Perceptor better than the previous Generations one. That was always one of the weaker molds. It didn't even come with a gun.

I imagine a Magnificus recolor will show up, but I would love a Reflector recolor. He needs to get a proper retail figure.

This whole entire wave is incredible. Even Kup is looking better than he did initially. I personally think this new Krok looks much better than the club one seeing them side by side. The club one has a tiny head and is too bulky for a character like Krok. Topspin is still my favorite but Krok is a close second.

Quake, Topspin and Perceptor for me please. ESPECIALLY Topsin. His head sculpt is near perfect and my only gripe about that is i'd like his visor to be a tad bit larger like the massive visor he had back in the day.
He was one of my fave figures i had as a child. I must own this figure

Yeah things are looking good. And Last Stand of the Wreckers is kinda like a prerequisite for MTMTE, I consider them in a similar vein, so I think that would make Topspin ok right?

Skullsmasher: 11 Steps
Krok: 12 Steps

Wow, TR Perseptor is leaps and bounds better than RTS. And I like RTS Perceptor. Krok looks surprisingly well done, and now I have a desire to part ways with my Skullsmasher. Topspin looks like this wave's Triggerhappy in terms of how well its done and that's about all the praise this wave of deluxes gets from me. As I thought I can happily skip Kup and Quake. So the Wave 4 must-haves total 5, Perceptor, Krok, Topspin, Brawn, and Black Shadow(might be bumped down if Overlord doesn't have that much retooling).

Perceptor - killin' it with SCIENCE!
Kup - now with articulation!
Topspin - MUST HAVE
Quake - DAT FACE, transtector! :CON:
Brawn - Perfection. :BOT:

The rest are left to impulse....! Well, besides Repugnus & Shuffler. I will also wait for Overlord over the space gangsta.

Quake looks nice, but I personally think the mold works worlds better on Hardhead, who is atm the most awesome TF figure I've ever bought (pending purchases of Wolfwire, Triggerhappy, or Topspin). But Chasm's power... my Lord, I now need that toy, if solely for the awesome ability.

Triggerhappy is obviously Misfire. I think Slugslinger is a more likely retool out of Topspin, personally.

I dunno man that dual finned front - total Misfire I think, would'nt even need a retool, but a retool into a Slugslinger dual cockpit would be rad right? Plus Misfire's over in MTMTE sometimes helping Clobber get his memory back. I honestly think I'd love both.

Don't worry, although I'll have to find my Titan Master Brawn. Does anybody else think that shield is part of a pre-tool and we'll get a repaint down the line without the shield?

Yeah I think Topspin and maybe Kup will be the only ones I get from this lot. The others aren't doing much for me. I can pass on Quake cos I found the Hardhead mold extremely disappointing with an awful looking alt-mode and boring transformation barely any different to the G1 figure. Perceptor looks dumbed down, ironically for a science guy.

I was quite impressed by how much the robot mode actually resembles the original. Though I do wish they'd planned ahead and perhaps put some new pieces in the top deck area - I get the impression that one or two additional new pieces to swap out could make him look very distinct indeed.
Heck I'd buy him simply to give Hardhead two guns and for the titanmaster if I'm honest.

I notice the part under the shield resembled the back end of Bulkhead - but if they have a thing for Throttlebots now perhaps the use they might put it too is Rollbar - even if the obvious redeco is Outback/Fallback. Perhaps they might ditch the shield and replace it with a gun for such a release ?

The only issue there is that if the do make Fallback/Outback - I'd really want the complementary Titanmaster set too.

Here's the funny thing about me: even thought MTMTE/LL is pretty much something I love to pieces, relate to immensely and it's my favourite thing ever right now... despite the whole fandom loving it, I didn't actually enjoy LSOTW.
No particular problems with quality, it was just a bit too gritty for my tastes. And I never particularly got attached to any character other than Overlord who I already loved from MTMTE.

So... yeah. 'til he turns out to have been saved by the Necrobot and he was inside Ten the whole time, Topspin ain't exactly going on my MTMTE shelf.

Must admit I'm loving TR so much that I hope they continue churning out new figures for a while still. I might be skipping Krok and quake as I already have those moulds though I reckon they look pretty good.
Hard head is quite underrated.. he's a great homage to the original and a fun toy. Skull smasher looked great in both his modes but suffered som QA issues which I hope they solved..

Roadburns a skip and not sure about skyshadow as I have a feeling his repaint will be more interesting

Can't wait for broadside.. and hope they'll to a twin twist soon

While the news that we're only getting two new Titan Masters in Wave 4 might be sad, at the very least the two we're getting seem to be turning out well - at least, that's what these pictures from Generator_G1's Twitter would suggest for Shuffler, the updated form of one of Japan's exclusive 1987 Autobot Master Warriors. Take a look at the head mode, weapon mode and comparisons to the original below and tell us what you think in the forums!

Shuffler is absolutely adorable and actually has two good modes and probably the most badass weapon mode of all the Titan masters so far. I really hope they don't kill this size class after the line is over, there's still so much potential left. I would love a complete set of mini Dino bots, the other two monsterbots (with deluxe counterparts) and the last 3 Autobot master warriors since Toraizer is already rumored.

Who are the other 3? Do they transform into animals too, because I only ever knew of the 3 already mentioned. And ditto on the gun mode, its the best so far since it actually looks like a thought out third mode with its own specific detail.

The other three transform into robots like most other headmasters. Good thing about that is that if we got them, this would mean that they would have more content than their original release.

I'm fine with them coming with vehicles, though the animal ones are awesome. But I just want them to release a Titan Master with the name of Rodney. It would be awesome.

"Lets see, Prime, for this mission we have available: Clobber, Nightbeat, Loudmouth, and.. um, ah, Rodney. *whispering* Dude, what's with that name?"

I just want Kirk to come with a not-enterprise

Shuffler's vehicle has a little tank mode too. (not shown).

He's really cute - I can see some remould potential for Ramhorn too.

Instead of some repacks (which I don't mind considering the distribution on Titanmasters is kinda terrible) I do look at the mould there is an ponder what else could have been made.

Like Titanmaster Arcee out of loudmouth has been suggested for example.
As I mentioned earlier Fallback/outback would be nice too.
What might also work is Blitzwing the reason being that you can give the alt head a Kremzeek face since the preceeding jet/tank TM vehicle already resembles Flywheels and flywheels is often becoming seen as a way of repainting Blitzwing these days - so why not do the reverse (kind of).

I'd rather like some Titanmasters of 'named' core Characters too like Bumblebee Optimus, Starscream and so on... perhaps approaching them in creative ways that interact with the larger toys such as perhaps an Optimus Titanmaster with a different face deign but a vehicle that looks like Roller.

This is an amazing looking wave! Quake is still a no but the other 4 deluxes and 2 titan masters are definites, as is Sky Shadow. I'm pretty much going to get every Decepticon leader class figure in this line

I generally buy all of the domestic "Generations"-type releases, and Titans Return is no exception. That said, I really like Broadside, Topspin, and Brawn, and think Kup and Quake are decent figures. The only figure I really don't care for is Sky Shadow, but that's partly due to a general dislike for the Leader Class scale and partly due to the two vehicle alt mode, even if it is G1 and character accurate.

Really digging the Titan Masters. Out of this new wave I am for sure getting Brawn, Repugnus and Topspin(w/hope of a Twintwist). Been waiting on a good Brawn for 28 yrs or so hehe. Perceptor does look really good but I got Mugen Scope for $17 during the black FRI sales and touched him up with paint and am very happy. Kup is a maybe, I have the Gen one with igear cygar head and it is tough to beat. I am wondering what the cygar head would look like on TR Kup.

Anyone else feel the arms on Rewind and Rumble are just far too bulky? This isn't necessarily a complaint about it being inaccurate to their fictional appearances (though there is that too), but that it doesn't work in proportion to the rest of their bodies. The legs are slender and the body moderately thin; then you get to the arms which are suddenly massive and bloated and probably have more mass than the rest of the body combined. It doesn't even do it in a ridiculous way to give it the silhouette of, say, a disney 'tough guy' archetype aesthetic; it's just enough to make it off-putting and a discord in silhouette continuity. Not to mention the awkward placement of the elbow articulation and how the size of the arms also limits what you can really do in terms of posing and articulation.
Not enough to make me dislike the figure - I still really like it, and I can't dislike Rewind with a headsculpt that incredible - but it is the biggest flaw and it does kinda bother me. I realise it had to be done to give him enough mass for his tank mode and for the tablet to be big enough for the gimmick, but I really wish there was another way round it.

I'm sort of in the same boat. The arms are a bit too big, but but I still like the figure overall. Plus, they also give you a pseudo pile driver mode for Rumble if you rotate the arms 180 degrees so the hand is facing backward and then unfold the arms and straighten the elbows. This lets the side parts for the tablet mode become the pseudo pile drivers.

Yeah Rewind's arms are certainly too large but everything else on that figure, besides the stickers although mine are holding up pretty well, is really great.
