I cant recall...Is Goldbug a different character in this Universe, or is BB turning into Goldbug possibly a result of his death/return/ the First Strike event?

Goldbug has always been a different character in IDW. And Bumblebee isn't in First Strike (yet, at least.)

He's a completely different character. While bumblebee is alive he's still stuck in the singularity. That's gonna be a power of primes thing no doubt. Not First trike.

Goldbug was severely wounded in spotlight metroplex and he's still recovering apparently.

Oh, woah; if the Throttlebots are coming back, maybe Sixshot's with them?

This and LL's cover just make me so happy on a continuity nerd level. It's just so bloody exciting to see all these characters and concepts return and hopefully get some stories and resolution

I disagree. I think He had the most interesting/fun transformation. Both 30 years ago and in Combiner Wars. (Well, CW Silverbolt DID have a pretty interesting Transformation.)

It's weird because "purpose" is a relative term that the functionists use to describe what one's alt mode does. Rung can make crystals, but it's not clear if that has anything to do with his alt mode. He could be an outlier like trailbreaker.

What happened to Overlord? He survived long enough to retreat with the surviving DJD.

She used to. In Victorion's first few appearances, Rust Dust wasn't drawn into the integrated form, but she has been pretty consistently drawn into it since then.

A lot.

I'm pretty sure they kept forgetting Powerglide as Superion's gun, too. Can't remember if they forgot Blackjack as Menasor's chest at any point.

No. They still don't understand it and he was always tortured in robotmode to create them. Only
Time he was in alt mode was gene they faked it and made him look like a tank.

Verdict is still out on Megatron. It's not like he's gone for good

Your overlord one makes no sense. He survived and was picked up by the galactic council and at the end of dying of the light he didn't retreat with the surviving DJD because the DJD all died but Nickel and she went off with deathsaurus and overlord didn't go with them he left on his own. He even said he wasn't going with them. So where did he go? Back to the council? There's a question as well is "is the original rewind still around and if so where? Was overlord lying when he said he killed him?"

I'm glad to see Defensor back, especially since Superion is "dead" and Victorion is on Earth.

re; Shining Armor, I hope it will tell us where Stardrive is now, if this was set around 200 years ago.

And OP- I wonder if the focus will shift from Earth to Cybertron with TAAO out of the picture, or if OP will become the ongoing that's set in both places.

Disagree. Always liked Defensor as a character and as a toy! His individual bots are all interesting and his own personality is quite endearing too.

Gonna have to give Shining Armour a shot. I like ROM from what I read of the Humble Bundle a while ago. I like the idea off the SolStar Order and their attempts to have a Cybertronian that is not a heartless killing machine (as the universe seeing them at large.)

Defensor's one of my favourite combiners; alongside Bruticus, Victorion and Predaking. He was always way more interesting with a more varied mix of vehicles than '5 planes', and I like that the Protectobots keep adding to their ranks. Also helps that they've got some of the more interesting personalities among combiner components too

Predaking and Victorion both have excellent, unified looks, which I love. Bruticus was my second favourite combiner. He's just awesome and I loved the Revenge of Bruticus episodes in the G1 cartoon.

Defensor is one of the best combiners ever, especially with the addition of Rook!

I absolutely love how they have enough members to replace all the other limbs if they get wounded.

I'd love to get Heatrock, Skyfeather and Medix among them at some point maybe there could be some jokes about Medix looking like First Aid while also becoming his protege like First Aid was with Ratchet.

Defensor is easily one of the best combiners in general and to me it helps that he has probably the most solid figure in CW.

I'm glad that Defensor is back (he's my favorite combiner), but I hope the book does him justice. Lost Light has been really lackluster up until now, so hopefully the mutineers section gets things back on track. And I'm glad they are using Rook.

Oh, and I am thinking Stardrive is set to die, just throwing that out there.

So the penciller did not draw Groove on him, but look at the coloring. It is colored like how Defensor looks when Groove is attached. I kinda like that look, but I do agree that I wish they would draw Groove as a more prominent chestplate.
