Thanks! Now I could snatch that preorder. It's the same price as Ecto-1 so I assume it will be roughly the same size. Too bad I can't use my EDGE Platimun card to get the 10% off in the online store. It only work in physical stores.

Regardless, better safe than sorry.

I just canceled my preorder for Maverick -- the volleyball was really the only reason I wanted him in the first place :P

But I feel lucky I checked HasbroPulse the other morning for Gigawatt! But I see he's actually still available (to the US) online at Target and Walmart (for ~$30). I immediately canceled my reservation with tfsource once I got confirmation from Pulse he was on-order. Those tinted windows make him look perfect, to me. I can't wait to have him alongside Ectotron -- as far as I'm concerned, there aren't any other 80s vehicular icons that I need to satisfy for this particular itch. ;)

Gigawatt's a Deluxe, retooled from Siege Sideswipe. Ectotron was a Voyager, taking partial engineering from CW Hot Spot.

Well, it make him way more expensive then. It's 60$CAN plus taxes. At least it's free shipping and it make it ironically way less expensive than if I'd ordered it from Pulse.

I find Gigawatt way better than Ectotron because he transform properly, unlike Ecto who just wear the whole car as a backpack.

That exchange rate and shipping price is not very forgiving when ordering from the USA.

Greetings Seibertronians! Fellow Seibertron user, Omegatron, has been on touch, letting us know that a reddit user has not only gotten their hands on the forthcoming Transformers x Back To The Future collaboration figure Gigawatt, but also uploaded a video review of the figure!

The figure uses the engineering of Deluxe Class Siege Sideswipe the same way that the Transformers x Ghostbusters Ectotron used Combiner Wars Voyager Class Hot Spot as a base.

This was the image posted on Reddit by user Soraboo.

This is then the video review they uploaded to YouTube, using the username Matt in Japan.

What do you think of Gigawatt? Have you secured a preorder for him? Or are you leaving him alone? Let us know in the Energon Pub and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews!

Is it just me or does it look like it was 3D printed. The horizontal lines on the hood look like 3D printed toys. I kind of hope the release does not have that. I would be kind of bummed. Still waiting for mine >:oP

Out of curiosity, have you seen a DMC DeLorean in person before? It has an stainless steel brushed metal look to it, which is what this toy is replicating. You want it to have that look.

I have only seen the one they staged at the Puente Hills Mall (AKA Twin Pines Mall) on October 20,2015. I was only hoping he did not get taken by someone at a flea market. The review from Mr Stan said the same thing. Kind of a bummer for me, but nothing I can't fix with my mill to smooth out every surface. I can't wait :BANG_HEAD:

Greetings Seibertronians! We've got more brand new video reviews of the forthcoming Back to the Future x Transformers crossover figure, Gigawatt! Which appears to have started to turn up in collectors hands.

The first new review was shared by fellow Seibertron user, -Kanrabat-, and was created by fellow Seibertron user, and YouTube toy reviewer, PrimeVsPrime.

The second comes to us from another Seibertron user, and YouTube toy reviewer, Chuckdawg1999, who also has this to say about the figure:

Chuckdawg1999 wrote:I really dig these collaborations between Hasbro and other pop-culture entities. Gigawatt celebrates the 35th anniversary of the first Back To The Future film, yes it's been that long. Utilizing the core of Siege Sideswipe Gigawatt really encompasses the heart of Mr. DeLorean's modified automobile. I highly recommend the figure for Transformer and Back To The Future fans.

What do you think of these reviews? Did you manage to secure a preorder? Let us know in the Energon Pub and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews!

That would actually be brilliant since they could just repaint the same mold 4x with a set of weapons.

The Collaborative line is for making stuff from non-toy-based movies into Transformers. TMNT is the property of Playmates, one of Hasbro's rivals.

Oof haha just wishful thinking on my part, I appreciate the clarification as to why that wont happen though

I don't agree about the Cliffjumper mold. Too small. Wheeljack would be iffy. But Sunstreaker? Definitely. The bot must not be too similar to Gigawat after all. Speaking of which, I really wonder how Kitt would look like in bot mode. I bet it would have nice callbacks to David's character.

So that was just a baseless rumor from the early pictures.

So looking at your picture above, I think the Datsun Brothers mold would be a better base. Simply for Kitt's "red wooshing eye" stay upfront and center. It's his trademark after all.

Turn out Walmart is full of it and never had the damn thing in store to begin with.

And on second thought, I didn't remade my E.B Games preorder.
I don't have money for a 70$ deluxe.

I did a list of vehicles that, if they really wanted to, could create a small line for Knight Rider...

KITT
KARR
Goliath
The Rook tractor-trailer.
Drone cars from Knight of the Drones'
A modified merc car from season three, episode twelve, 'Custom Made Killer'.
Dante
Plato
Domino
Kat
Attack Beast
KROW
KITT from the 2008 series
KARR from the 2008 series

And there's probably more.

Wrong thread I know, but hey I cant find the GB thread. New Ectotron from unreleased ghostbusters film coming out, £43 at Zavvi comes with a blue ghost

https://www.zavvi.com/merch-action-figu ... 39984.html

*different head, paint wear dirt effect and probably some more differences -no pop out gunner set tho and the legs will still be able to store pens or pencils.

Dunno if it's enough for me to double dip tho. I guess it's a good tie in for the new movie.

Really didnt like the first Ectotron in hand so a reuse is an easy pass. At least Hasbro improved the Deloreans windshield but Ectotron would need some new engineering.

Man this is one of my favorite TFs of 2020...alas something good from this wretched year! :BANG_HEAD:

It's too bad the engineers involved couldn't find way to create a steering column and a dash that folds away. Seats would have been cool too when the doors are open in alt mode.

I remember Classics Hound and how the seats would fold away for transformation, very cool!

I don't know if it was already mentioned but I dig how Gigawatts' gun, the stock end has that OP look to it... ;)^ .

When I get a chanc1e I'm gonna get Rung and set him up face to face with Gigawatt..."look into my eyes"...'nuff said! :VEHI:

This is shipping now from Target. Just add it to the long list of things expected in January coming early, they originally said January 7. I know a bunch of us ordered him with a coupon bringing him down to a Deluxe price so it isn't as expensive of an early release as early Selects and Kingdom figures have been.

Finally played with mine.
He's a great figure, but not worth 60$can plus taxes. At all. The hook and the "garbageinator" won't peg securely on the car. So I left the accessories, including the gun, in the box. Also, a rear wheel popped off in transformation (pop back in but still.)

This toy have amazing details and paint, but this DELUXE with this overall quality do not deserve to be near leader price.

At that price, especially because it's not rare at all and sold everywhere, Gigawatt is a C- at most.
At voyager price, it would be boosted to a B+.
