Citi Trends Stores are Stocking Walmart and Target Exclusive Transformers Toys

I have seen those retro Beast wars figs along with the newer wal mart exclusive beasts, velocitron and Buzzworthy at Ross's recently.

I remember when Citi Trends had the Human Alliance figures on the pegs way back when. I went to pick up Drag Strip but it was gone by the time I went back for it. I still don't have that Drag Strip either. I should get one of those.

I had zero hopes of finding anything at Ross two weeks ago but walked out with a nice little haul. I found Buzzworthy Cliffjumper and B-127 as well as Velocitron Shadowstrip, Crasher and Scourge. I picked them all up even though I already had CJ and Scourge. I seen Kingdom Buzzsaw too but already had him. No sign of Galaxy Shuttle or Cosmos but I have them already and only want another Galaxy Shuttle or two for customs. Found a few Dragon Stars that were interesting like Nappa and Cooler. Bean Daddy was there too. Picked up a Lightning Collection Cog and a few rangers. The twins were there but they're everywhere you can find any GI Joe Classified figures. There was also a few interesting MHA and Demon Slayer "figures" there that I picked up for my niece and her fiance for Christmas as they're going to go nuts for them.

That Retrax reissue is made with a piece missing right? I don't have one and never did but I just can't bring myself to pick one of them up. Especially when it's incomplete out of the package. I might pick up an Iguanus as that's another one I never had. I picked up Wolfang, K-9 and Cybershark though. Those were about the only ones I was interested in unless they want to make a single release of Magnaboss Silverbolt WITHOUT the GPS or some Transmetals and Transmetal 2s without the chrome. Maybe Jetstorm. I think mine is missing a piece so it would be nice to get a new one. The rest I think I have or have the ones I want.

I already have Buzzworthy Bonecrusher from a previous sale. I might pick up another Jhiaxus. It's a really good mold and it's a shame that not many people seem to have purchased him. It doesn't help that he has a slight case of yellowing though. I wish Senator Shockwave used that mold instead of the Siege Seeker mold. While I do like the Tetrajet mold, I think the Jhiaxus mold could've worked just as well if not better with a similar amount of retooling. Plus it has the opening hands to emote with. But I don't think it would've gotten the retooling then as the Tetrajet mold has long since paid for itself by now with how many releases it had and that's probably how they found the budget for the retooling to begin with.

Did Walmart and Walmart.com even sell K-9? Never saw him in stores (or Iguanus for that matter) and he's the only Beast Wars reissue you can't buy from Walmart on Walmart.com.

Gonna be dead honest - I moved to Las Vegas some time ago, and it's definitely a "quantity over quality" city (meaning, that there are a TON of stores, but they are horrendously slow to restock). Like... there are times since I moved here where I've seen a roundabout... six week gap between restocks. It's nuts.

I have never seen either Iguanus or K-9 at the Walmarts I frequent in the city (and I collect Beast Wars figures and characters almost exclusively), and so I started checking Ross stores on a whim after I saw this article. I hit... I want to say 7 or 8 stores over the past two days, and only found 2 or 3 transformers items in each location. Period. Which was insane considering how much toys in general they had on the floor.

Considering my history hunting in Las Vegas, I want to believe that my stores just haven't gotten this "new" stock in yet, for the simple fact that it seems unlikely to me that hunters have already beaten me to so many stores. Anyone else on the West Coast USA having similar issues?

Hmmm, that's interesting. For the Ross stores here in Florida they stock the toys extremely randomly throughout the store. There's usually a few shelves all the way in the back where toys are just kind of haphazardly stocked. Then there's usually a few tables somewhere in the middle with various toys (sometimes there's also more shelves). Then there's bins, usually somewhere in the front by the checkouts, that have toys. I guess they do that so you get really excited when you find something and then you can't leave without it.

That's been my experience as well over here in Vegas - at least in the residential areas when you go off of the strip. They honestly have a pretty impressive selection all things considered, but I have yet to see the newer Beast Wars exclusives anywhere in this city.

Took advantage of the Pulse, Entertainment Earth, and Target sales to get some black friday deals. It was a decent year.

I didn't realize Citi Trends sold toys. I thought they just did clothes. I'll have to check out the local one, assuming it's still around. I'm thinking it closed down last year.

Probably why they chose to change the name to "outlet" instead of clearance. Worse yet is they seem to be indicating that this is a temporary price drop rather than a permanent one. Feels more like they're just trying to clear overstock.

Looking through the list of sellers most of them claim to be from Japan, but one is TFSource so the listing itself is legit, but that doesn't mean the seller didn't sneak a KO into their lot. One review claims they got a very used one, but that seems to happen fairly often on Amazon.

Pretty sweet deal; my SS86 Blaster was delivered today, and on a Target run for other items, took him back, got the promo deal, plus 5% off with my RedCard, so ended up getting him for just over $25. If I count the $10 off $50 because of all the other items we bought, he was roughly $15.

They'll wait till Sunday right after the sale, just like how they took the turtle, target prime, and the cliffjumper set down again right before the last sale and this one, and put it back up for preorder right after the last sale ended

I think that's just a coincidence. I pre-ordered the four pack for $60 during one of the recent sales and pre-ordered Origin Wheeljack for $28 during another. I've pre-ordered a whole bunch of figures during these various sales over the years. I've been checking Target daily for Brawl this past week and haven't seen the four pack, Target Prime, or the TMNT figure available at any point. Pretty sure Bonecruncher was first made available during a sale or shortly before one started as well.

Jhiaxus is on Amazon for $16.50. That is a crazy deal for an incredibly good figure.

Transformers are 20% off at Target again this week. This is, what, the third time in 5 weeks they've been on sale? Shame there's hardly anything on the website worthwhile.

They do, and it's weird that they keep listing partial cases. Like right now they have Strong Arm, Detritus and Core Energon Megatron available, the rest of their cases have not been.

I finally found SS86 Frenzy at my local Target. The only copy. Of course, after all of the hunting I did, they had one Origibs Wheeljack as well.
I will say it was nice to get Frenzy for $8.25. I still can’t believe Core class figs are normally almost $13…

Just the other day I was wondering why we haven't had a big Hasbro Pulse sale yet this year, and then this showed up in my inbox this morning:



Starts MONDAY at 10AM ET! Super short notice, but I know what I'll be doing in the morning. My Transformers shopping list is pretty short as far as in stock figures go, mostly the Beast Wars 2 packs I don't have, MP Hoist, the second Jurassic Park set, Takara Tomy's big ROTB Optimus Primal, and a few recent mainline figures I haven't picked up yet. We'll see what's actually available for discount.
