Retired TakaraTomy designer Alex Kubalsky stopped by to send us this letter:
Hello Seibertron team,
This is former transformer designer Alex Kubalsky. I'm back in my home country of Australia for the holidays and decided to clear out my storage space and sell some things to generate funds for a film project I'm planning for next year. Just wanted to let you know that I will be listing a few rare transformers and related items on ebay over the next few weeks that may be of interest to some people viewing the site, if only for the curiosity of some of the pieces. Here is the first listing.
His first listing is a rather rare piece, which is shown and it's auction linked to, below. Considering Mr. Kubalsky was once a designer, it's safe to assume that he has quite a few rarities and perhaps even items we've yet to see. This list of auctions looks to the one to watch.
His first listing? A gold lucky draw Henkei Optimus MISB. Which states the following:
This is Alexander Kubalsky, former transformer designer at TakaraTomy Japan.
I will be listing several rare pieces from my personal collection over the next few day as I look to generate funds for a film project in the new year.
First up is this mint condition Henkei Lucky Dip Gold Convoy. This was given to me by my design team as a farewell gift when I left TakarTomy in 2008. Only five of these were ever officially released. I believe this to be of several produced for Takaratomy in house designers involved in it's design. I designed the smoke stack weapon.

The marvellous world of eBay keeps delivering its magically mysterious gems - and this time, it's in the shape of unreleased redecos of G2 Combat Heroes Optimus Prime and Megatron! Apparently belonging to Hollywood Heroes, Toy Hunter's Jordan Hembrough shop, the two figures sport, respectively, a darker blue and red scheme and a jungle-themed, grey and green camo paintjob, compared to their original release. eBay seller lena81822 has listed auctions for loose sample of the upcoming Transformers Generations Voyagers Rhinox and Douubledealer. Doubledealer is a retool/redeco of the previously released Generations Blitzwing, while Rhinox is a brand new mold. Check out the images mirrored from the auctions below. This wave is due to release in November.
Rose Ward, the mind behind RetroCons, has set up a couple of interesting eBay auctions for animal charities in California: two Transformers posters signed by a number of Transformers voice actors. Check out the details for the auctions below, including a video of the signing!
Recently in California, I helped to organize a voice actors reunion. These items were put together during this event, by myself and Michael Bell for local animal charities. We'd like to share these auction with fans if possible.

Autographed Transformers The Movie 1986 Poster (Corey Burton, Sue Blu..etc.)
Transformers 1986 Animated Theatrical (Reprint) Movie Poster. Autograpghed by voice actor talents: Sue Blu, John Moschitta, Corey Burton, Gregg Berger, Neil Ross, Michael Bell, David Mendenhall, Paul Eiding, Michael McConnohie and voice director Wally Burr. (We also have an unknown autograph included.)
This item was signed during a voice actors reunion June 25th, 2013. There's a little poster damage along the sides, but to have so many voice talents autograph one item, it makes it a unique piece. The proceeds that are gathered will be given to Cambodian Wildlife Sanctuary & Serenity Place Rescue. None of the money earned from this will be for profit, all for charity.

Here's a quick update to the Toys R Us SDCC exclusives situation that has transpired in the past 24 hours with Masterpiece Soundwave and Acid Storm. I just received the following message from Toys R Us, which mentions their contractual obligations to the manufacturer. I'm assuming this is referring the fact that these toys all have a July 18th, 2013 "street date" to coincide with SDCC. While many of customers might be upset, it is important to keep in mind that mistakes happen. The toys are scheduled to be released next Thursday at San Diego Comic Con, on ToysRUs.com and apparently they will be available in stores as well.
We are very sorry to inform you that due to a contractual issue with the manufacturer, we are not able not able to fulfill your item purchased on eBay. Since we are not able to complete your Item #350829991790,360692640102 is being cancelled. We can certainly understand your disappointment and we are truly sorry for this unexpected occurrence.
Your loyalty is valued and we will work hard to ensure such a situation like this does not happen again in the future.

eBay seller lena81822 has managed to get a hold of loose samples of the upcoming Generations Deluxe IDW inspired Stealth Bomber Megatron and Fall of Cybertron styled Thundercracker. When released at retail each will come pack with an issue of their respective Transformers Spotlight comic from IDW Publishing. Check out the images mirrored from the auctions below. Also posted on the BotCon facebook page, we get a look at the BotCon 2013 exclusive Kre-O Kreon Machine Wars set. Mirroring the character choices in the official Machine Wars Box set, we get Megaplex, Hoist, Obsidian, Skywarp and Strika in Kreon form. Check out the image below.
It's currently available from a seller on ebay by the name of Almar Enterprises and is the first of many that will be posted on eBay. The prices tend to climb as time goes on, so if you don't have access to the figure, or don't have someone to pick it up for you, this might be your only chance to get it.
